Well - if you have the Corroded BP you've done it.

All you need to do is hit Thurg & do the quest for the Cleric BP (need 3 Black Marbles). Once you have it head to OOT - turn in the books in the right order then head to Aviak Isle and hand in your Token + the Cleric BP 7 VOILA ! a Grand Robe of the Oracle.

I did this last week on Tunare with my Mage & an Eroded Leather Tunic. All you have to turn-in to the NPC on Avaik isle is any of the 3 approved robes - Nec/Wiz/Mag/Enc/Clr/Dru/Shm - either will suffice - doesn't have to be your specific class.

Grats.

Just got mine today, all and all its great.Nice stats good sv's and invigorate is just about the best way to regen your hitpoints w/o lifetaping a mob at my lvl.Lets face it you cant always find a mob to lifetap or risk engaging it if your low hp.I was holding out for a nocti BP but when they brought back the PoG's i pretty much lost all hopes of that.

advice:

Keep the Blood ember pants!!!
You never know when that feign death proc helps...expecially fighting mobs that steal mana good for pulling even with the 3 sec cast time. (if you plan on getting your alt that high)

Sweet Ikilum. You are proof that the mid-level game has become a runaway joke in EQ. Thank god that item prices have deflated so fast in the EQ economy...otherwise the casual EQ players would just get drowned out completely by AltQuest.

Nobody is at fault here, it's just that this game needs that EQ2 sequel soon. Thurg armor on an alt is bad, but it isnt Skyshrine or Kael quest stuff at least...not yet anyhow.

This Thurg armor would be so much cooler if the quest was more involved and the drops of eroded came faster. 2 or 3 gems is nothing compared to a 5 or 6 step quest. And for late 40s and early 50s characters, the droppable armor starts to be too weak just at this level...

So is this a bad choice of armor to go for at 50? I was thinking of getting a few of these pieces, but, it seems that it won't be good enough for my level.... Is there any truth to that or is this stuff still respectable at my level? Thanks)

Dark Runed should last you through your 50s at least. I have almost a full set of Dark Runed at 54, and recently got my first Skyshrine piece, the Blood Lord's Bracer.

I don't see me replacing my Dark Runed BP anytime soon, though. Not likely to see a Skyshrine plate BP drop anytime soon, and don't have the AP to win it if it did. C'est la vie.

Most common place to drop?
# Aug 05 2002 at 2:20 PM Rating: Decent
I have hunted Kael many, many times. I have a full suit excluding the BP and Gautlets. Out of all the times I have hunted here, I have never seen a BP drop. Just would like to get a few opinions on where in Kael this will most commonly drop. Arena, Chanter house, KT arch, etc. Thanks a bunch!

Had the bp for this drop at arena (right) on Prexus tonight. Along with 2 plate legs, plate boots, plate gloves, and silk pants and chain pants. Needless to say lots of happy melee. These drops seem flukey, so I dont think its a reliable inticator of where bp drops, but you can get it here. Oh, and most gear came off veterans, who were dropping every time (or at least almost every time, might have lost track.)

What would be the PC on the MQ for the corroded chestplate? friend of mine told me i might be able to buy the mq for it although it's pretty rare. I'm thinking 3-5k per flawless diamonds and the corroded piece hmm 25k?

IMHO, U want it, You earn it like the rest of us! Us Tanks are there for it and some fight to the death for it because we apreciate what it means to wear a new piece of armor that was fought for so strongly. I only wish that 1 day VI would figure out how to remove MQ abilities and make everything in game no drop, then I'd love to see how many camps are farmed. The EQ economy has been destroyed by te likes of MQers selling the stuff to lower people just cause they can well, it needs a change!
RE: What would the PC be on the
# Jul 30 2002 at 1:29 PM Rating: Decent
actually it's debatable that without the MQ ability the market would not exsist. Lets not dwell on this topic however. Whether or not it's MQable, paying for gear is just as well as working for it IMO. Takes awhile to get the plat just like it takes awhile to camp the spawns that drop it.
#REDACTED, Posted: Mar 15 2004 at 12:25 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) just for the record u can go online and buy platinum pieces. So how do you figure that is working for it or earning it? I'd really like to know.

I support MQ not for selling but for helping guild mates. a lot of times, a guildmate isnt around that can use a dropped item, so instead of it rotting, sometimes we can MQ, like quest armor and epic items. which is handy because, lets face it, a lot of us just cant play as much as we want but our guild still wants to support us.

as for selling MQed items, i suppose thats ok, cept i dont know how much i trust the person on the other end. but then again, i play an skeptical Iksar SK, so i dont trust many people.
look
# Oct 21 2001 at 5:34 AM Rating: Decent
ok the look of the arms on an iksar is like really really extravegant Tizmak armor... sorta brown with nice blue gems and some black lining.. so im guessing the BP is similar

What color is this on an Iksar SK...
someone said it's purple..
Oh for the love of Cazic Thule, please don't let it be purple...
Although for a worshipper of the God of Fear... this would be most horrifying...

the Kael armor is a nice tint of dark red, Skyshrine armor is a very deep purple, and i'm not sure about the dwarf armor...but the other 2 are those colors and on DE's its the same design as guardian armor
Drop on quest item
# Jun 06 2001 at 3:49 AM Rating: Default
Went on my very first Kael raid today, and the quest item for this dropped, and we weren't even in the arena yet, we hadn't even made it to the bridge. A few ubers stopped by and didn't believe us when we said that the plate armor had dropped. Very nice, and a very lucky Troll ShadowKnight got this piece, becasue we looted 3 flawless diamonds to go with it. I came away from the raid with a nice neckpiece. You don't have to be totally uber to go into this place and do this, just be fairly organized. Someone in Gfay was shouting to start a group, we gathered a bunch of 45+'s and we went, we had 3 full groups. I was the highest as a 52 druid. Was quite fun, and these armor pieces don't just drop in the areana, but can drop outside of it also.

#Anonymous, Posted: May 24 2001 at 2:13 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) NO MONK. Its a joke now people and some of you are getting so mad over it. Try reading the daily updates to equipment. The guy who said this NO-DROP SHD-ONLY chest would be perfect for monks is saying so because there seems to be an un-natural number of monk trolls proclaiming every item a monk item.
#Anonymous, Posted: Jun 04 2001 at 3:06 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) I Agree, every damn post I see is a monk whining about how "perfect" this would be for them and crying that they can't use it! I AM SO GLAD THERE IS ARMOR COMMING OUT WITH LOW WEIGHT THAT *ISN'T* for MONKS!!! I am so tired of becoming over weight as a Cleric, and over weight with my Iksar SK :)

Geebus these stupid quest plate pieces get annoying as hell, the gems are easy to find and oyu can even buy em these days, but the armor component is a pain to get, rolling against every1 else in a 2-3 group raid in Kael =P

The spell has NOTHING to do with stamina. For god sakes people listen! Its a 90hp heal spell!

*sigh*...
#REDACTED, Posted: May 16 2001 at 7:13 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Invigorate really does not matter too much after your sta goes to 100, at least that is what I noticed after I get my shammy buffs, and I use a wurm, and I promise you it is max damage for a ranger for awhile...in fact, as long as your 1hs skill is ANY good, you will deal tons of melee, no matter what class. Anyway, invigorate is not a bad effect, esp because no casters will waste a slot on the spell.
#Anonymous, Posted: May 15 2001 at 3:14 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) if you played a melee to a higher lvl then you wuld know invigor would be a great spell to have on a piece of equipment especially after nonstop fightin and your tired (or hal through a fight with a wurmslayer like all them n00bs use)

the Invigorate on this bp isn't the lv druid sta restoring spell, it's a 100 point heal spell.
#Anonymous, Posted: May 15 2001 at 9:40 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Not to sound like a whiner or anything, but one would think that for an uber BP, the effect could be a little better than a level 5 druid spell.

So many newbs... Please do us all a favor and use some common sense/brain power before posting comments that have most likely come out of your ***. Invigorate is a 90point self heal... Not just a stamina recovery spell... Moron.
