I found Severilous at 8:15 PM Pacific Time on June 3rd 2013 up in the northwest corner above the cliff of course. Dropped all sorts o' stuff but no green dragon scales. Was lookin for the scales for a warrior friend. It did drop "torn,book" gig for Fiery Avenger..Paladin epic 1.0 I believe? I shot a tell out to /general chat...got several tells about the green scales askin to buy em..and one person said gonna try and run over with their younger paladin..lotsa fun

Before this quest, Green Dragon Scales went for around 40kpp. I got mine today for 5kpp. Now the warrior epic is reachable without paying 55k!!

oh wow...so you are getting a really powerful weapon without actualy earning it. boy aint you special. no wonder newbies have no respect anymore. with people buying their epics why should newbies respect anything or anyone? ya know its called a quest for a reason. your supposed to work on it yourself. just wish SOE would make ALL epic drops no trade. then all you people out to buy your epics would be really screwed. though me and my friends wouldnt have a problem. we are doing our epics the way they are ment to be done ;)

Hmmm what about the epics that are easier then others to "earn"? Rogue and Monk Epics for example is the easiest to "earn", where the SK, Warrior, Necro Epics are much harder to "earn". Class balance has been an issue since day 1 of EQ. Epic balance is the same way. So until the class/epics are balanced out, why don't you STFU about finding a way to "buy" a step in a tough epic where the dragons are either Permacamped by People for profit, or in an elemntal lvl zone.

I'm a lvl 70 warrior who never got epic 1.0 because the green scales were either 100k to BUY and/or could never get a raid to Severilous before the manaburn wizzie team got there.

So before you cry like a baby because SOE made a peice of a epic no drop, just think about balance for a bit..... or are you one of the manaburn wizzies who got all pissed that the color change quest came out because there went one of you cash crop items?

talk about cry like a baby.....no one should have to "buy" any step in there epic because the mobs should not be camped for greed....try getting the drop from fear....all becuase peeps wanna be stupid and pay 100k-200k just to look like a skellie...i don't care what so called benifits you get from being a skeleton your greed is stopping someone from getting their epic

He is in N. Ro. Follow the water heading out from freeport east. As you get closer to the oasis zone, you will see a post or tower on your right. It is not the one right next to the zone for those of you who are familiar, but close to there.

When you hail him he asks for water. I gave him some and he goes on to talk about changing stuff diff colors. When you give him your red scale like he asks, he gives you back(after a couple more dialog prompts... something like "what good news" and "what bad news") a box and a quest. You have to go all over and collect stuff for some glue as he busted your damn scale.. lol... I assume you get the green scale after quest is done... I have not finished it yet. BTW, if anyone finds Deep Fungus Mold please post it here. Is the only part I have not figured out yet. He says to buy it. Maybe one of his many brothers is a merchant? I will post more when I know.

He is a gnome located in NRO at the Scarab pillar following the shore line on the way to the Oasis. Simply hail him...give him some water and he tells you about changing the color from red to green.
You have to be a warrior for him to talk to you, otherwise he tells you to take a hike.

I was in Burning Woods today and I came across a named Wurm out there called Gylton and he dropped a Dragon scales. Looked on here to see what it was for and found out that it doesn't even posted it dropping in BW. So i decided to post it up. Have fun!!! :)

I really believe that Severilous should be a spawned mob, like the cleric epic dragon Ragefire. I have been working on the warrior epic for well over a year now, and am held up by the green dragon scale. Even if Severilous were a spawned mob, the warrior epic would still be more difficult that most of the other epics. Another reason for wanting this is that on my server there are a few who will farm the old world dragons, and then ask 85k for the green dragon scale. This is not right. Please send feedback to Sony to change this. They changed Ragefire spawn, and I think the same should happen to severilous. Maybe if enough warriors, upset over people farming Severilous, send feedback then maybe just maybe Sony will listen to us. I really don't think it is fair that people who have worked so long and hard for their epics should never get it because the uber guilds on the server take him out for platinum. It would be nice if all people had 85k to spare, but those of us in lower end guilds can never get the right force there before he is slaughtered. Just my two cents of frustration, hehe.

I'm not sure of the current pricing on other servers but on Tunare the scales are currently around 30K in bazaar when you can find them... The Red ones usually around 8K and the White ones just recently dropped from 30K to 15K. I too think that this gouging is bull. On Tunare we have a group that Regularly raids Vox and Naggy, the scales from them are awarded on a seniority basis and the raids are open for any who want to attend 42-52. I wish we could get something like that going for Severilous as well.

Update: Killed Severilous on Saryrn server at 1am eastern approximately and I got my Green scale...all i need now is the Ancient Blade from the Queen in Chardok...Yay!

MY guild and i raided VP many many times and every time we killed Hoshkar we got a green scale drop i belive he drops the scale a lot more then sev's i would say the drop rate is more on Hoshkar becouse its a lot harder to get to .... !!! theres me 2 cents

You'll have to forgive me for doubting this unless you can give some concrete evidence. If you've got a screenshot or something or the name of someone who looted it that'd be great.

If this is just something you heard from an ex-guildmate's "uber" friend in <insert Brell's uber guild(s) here> who he holds in the upmost authority, can we please not post this sorta thing?

He's lying. Severilous and Hoshkar are the ONLY mobs that drop the green scale. Wuoshi isn't even apart of Kunark. ALL of the epics take place in lands pre-Velious.

And no the scale keeper doesn't drop the white or green scale either. That happened only on test for a short time. Never went live.

Beastlord epic 1.0 goes through Luclin because Beastlord class was introduced with Luclin (and Vah Shir...).

Hoshkar in Veeshan's Peak. Don't really think this is a fix for the bottle neck in the warrior epic though.

Nortlav does NOT drop green scales. He drops a red scale and a Rusted Throneblade every time.

Need to delete this entry so ppl don't get their hopes up.
