Just got this shield while raiding in Ntov with guild. is a really nice upgrade from my old one. +75mana & +75hps are the bomb and the 40 ac & +15wis is the icing on the cake.

Actually, its inferior in every single stat than the Cleric shield! 3 less wisdom, 7 less AC, less than half as much mana, 2 less on the saves. What a rip!
Joking people. :) Druid armor is always inferior to Shaman and Cleric counterparts, though not neccessarily on the secondary stats. The curse of being the best or second best soloist in the game.
It's probably since clerics are higher up on the ladder then most every other class then possibly warrior in neccesity. I play a hybrid, so getting the shaft numbs you to the whole cleric/warrior/rogue tribunal that dominates things in the long run... yes I am bitter =P
Since when would the words "Of Dragonkind" make ya think of Cleric Only? It's like saying no other class would wear something of the name...Cleric only should have a religious tone to it rather than Dragonkind, which suggests Uber (and ever class likes Uber, don't they? -=P )
Name does matter for some...and to name an item like this for clerics is kinda weird..not wrong...just weird. I saw the name, then saw just cleric and immediately was puzzled. They shoulda added Paladin to it if this is a clerical shield. A Paladin would get the most use out of this (IMHO).
I hate to tell you a cleric would get as much or more use out of this. We don't get good defensive skills and we end up takeing more hits than a paladin in balanced groups (unless that paladin is tanking which does not happen alot since most groups usually wait till they have a warrior if they go into higher lvl zones) or even in certain raid groups IE puller group cleric that has to heal the monk/rogue as they are coming in. And i bet if you wait there will probably be a shield for Paladins come out of ToV already saw the druid shield from there about the same stats
We have a 65 sk in our guild that can tank as well or better than most warriors of the same level. Done right, an SK or even a Pally is just as good as a warrior.
Arele of Al uses Blackstar, it's so uber that AL feels if they release the stats then some whiney ***** will come along and complain to VI, and they will nerf it like they did Mryklor's Dagger of Blood, what a shame that was... In conclusion, if you are the best, you have a Blackstar and Dragonkind.
Yeah too bad AfterLife thinks they are FoH and they don't even come close. Kinda sad how lame AL is actually. =(
And that "if you are the best you have a Blackstar and Dragonkind"...think again bro. Just cause you have high end loot, doesn't make you a better player.
i second that. having uber gear doesnt make a better player, and in my opinion sometimes makes you a worse player, as you rely to much on equipment, rather than skill. i've F'd away my fair share of heals and saves but it's because of inexpeirience and bad timing not lack of equipment
