I see these at vendors often, so I buy them for 18 pp and then get 894 Tribute points for them. :)

Man guys, I just bought this staff for 200pp while in PoK~I guess the person selling it didnt know how much it could sell for. Hehe How much could i sell it for IF I were to get rid of it which I won't I think? Thanks!

A friend of mine has been trying to sell this on Tarew Marr and finally gave up. In an effort to unload some of his inventory, this was passed on to me as a "loner". If I can get the plat down the road to pay for it I will, but it should be a fun toy in the meantime.
One problem: My 2hb is a paltry 3. So it looks like I'll be in EW for the next month fear-kiting Woolies and trying to raise this skill to a respectable level. Let this be a lesson, train in all your weapon skills as you level and carry an ******* of different weapon types. The time has come and now I must pay for my laziness. I guess I will need to do the same for 1hb and h2h someday too.
On the plus side, I can now "walk silently and carry a big stick".

I shall get 2hb up to Master skill in the same way that I got Piercing up.
It is my great fortune to have a lovely wife and sister-in-law who gifted me with a Tolan's Bracer. Endless arrows, almost endless Ranger manaless "dot".
It takes a bit of patience, but found that the elites in GD were the best for raising unused skills.
Wore them down to 19% health with regular dots, ranger manaless dots, then went into melee. I found with individual elites the Piercing went up by 2 to 3. Upon advice from a well-versed guildie, the piercer went, of course in the primary slot, and nothing went into secondary.
Takes a bit of patience, but it does work pretty well.
And when Piercing hit 101, I put it away and gnawed on the elites' ankles, and with that, H2H went up,as well, a little slower, but it did go from 10 to 22 in a night's session.
Hope this helps a bit, and if anyone has a better way, I'm all ears.
P.S. Of course, you can group and be SA, or ask to be allowed to wang away at a mob that belongs to someone else, after it's below the 49% hp's. And after asking permission to do so first, certainly.

Got it last night in shammy epic fighting. I like it lots, but if it sells for 50-60k, I'd sell mine in a heartbeat! Alas, I'm on The Nameless where prices for everything drop to stoopid cheap prices. Lupine goes for 2-3k, Lammy for 1-1.5k...great if you are a buyer, but the prices drop so dramatically and soo fast its scary, Fleshgrinder is 45k one week and 20k the next /sigh.

anyone know the pc of this item on torvo?
nice weapon using till i get epics will still hold on to tho nice to see 155 doubles, and skill still rising was slow in getting up but another off my list along with piercing for that lupine dagger.
nice weapon i recomend it to any ranger who would like to trade fast for mid speed and high damage

something i havent seen here was how nice it was to have a weapon that was low taunt, a nice trade for epics when you are with a warrior who cant hold agro.

Got this Thing 3 days ago, a shammy sold it to me, he won it on his epic Tour.
Just some words to the Damage, my 2hb is maxxed, and str buffed to 250. The dmg Bonus is 31 for me. My normal Hit max is 210 dmg, my best crit 362 yet. I hit pretty often double hit around 200. Combined with dragon haste Cloak and Chanter epic haste is this weapon really devastating.

Damage bonus after recent patch is 6..
I recieved this nice wep during a guild raid here the other night and at level 47 the dmg bonus is 11 for me. I put it in the trade window with a friends 56 monk (yes I know momks can't use it, just using for comparison ) and when he right clicked it says dmg bonus 23.
based on what lvl, are you a lvl 60 ranger. dmg bonus is level based so if your not 60 then it will go up higher.

Anyone know what the damage bonus is on this thing?
Damage bonus on two handed weapons SEEMS to be twice the one handed bonus, then modified by the delay. A delay of 40 will have a modifier of zero; a lower delay will have a slight penalty and a higher delay will have a bonus. I do not know the formulas, however, it seems like (for over 40) its something like (delay - 40) / 3 but that may not be entirely accurate.
the dmg bonus on weapons isn't a set number, it is based on a few things, str (maybe) but level and skill in that weapon skill are definetly factors in the dmg bonus on weapons

selling on on lany's. send tell to treebringer with offer.
DMG is solely based on lvl for 1hs and a combination of delay and lvl factor the dmg bonus of a 2-handed wep.

It looks like a huge stick with a knob on the top end. I use this on Ayonea Ro, and fondly call it my Ugly Stick.

We went to CoM to get Jade reavers for druid/ranger weapons and I walked with this but no reavers. I gave up a lammy for it but didn't mind... That is until every Joe Blow in all of Norrath is now asking me for a port. My question is how many high level druids do you see with staffs? Leave us rangers alone, we can not port. :P

The price of this staff has gone down drastically since the epics and velious. This was the BEST ranger weapon in the game pre-epic pre-velious. It is still a kick @ss weapon. I regulary do about 300pts (140ish X 2) of damage in the 3.5 seconds (delay) with double attack. I would not sell this unless I gave up my ranger. I think it used to sell for 40k-ish but now 20k would be about the right price range. It is very rare and a great item.

Yes it has sold for up to 50k. Why? How many good ranger 2hb can you name? Other than the Nature's Wrath you can't. It's a simple matter of supply and demand. And yes Rangers have money. Many Rangers are now offering up to 50-70k for a jade reaver to complete their epic.
I have personally seen one of these sell for 35k.

Regardless of the price this item does or does not sell for, it is simply one of the best ranger weapons in the game. In fact it is better than many of those velium weapons from DN and WW. Even while training my 2hb skill up from nothing I solo killed mobs faster with this weapon than I did with either a Lammy and a revultant whip or with a swarmcaller. In the one day it took to get the skill up to 98 it was clear enough this weapon was superior to just about every weapon I can think of that a ranger can use. Add in a FBSS and this weapon becomes devastating.
Even without haste I hit for more than I would duel-wielding lammys or using a swarmcaller. Plus its already a VERY fast weapon for the delay. The only reason this isn't a 50k weapon is because it is ranger only. But that is simply other classes problems, not the rangers.
