Chunk of Sandstone is not on any of the merchants in the Alchemy Supply merchants. I dont know where they are now but they are not here now

It's not on the merchants, it's given by Jorlan Hegeway during his collect quest.

Ok thanx I will try that then. ZAM makes it misleading by saying what Merchant it is on. Same thing with Wayfaren Resign

In that case, saying "recipes" to Lita Hegeway should grant you the recipes.
