dropped tonight from a siren seductress in siren's grotto. she spawned on the castle where Mistress Latazura spawns. not such a good item anymore since it requires one to equip it to get the effect. maybe alright for a casting class, however.

I just spent the last few minutes lowering my IQ reading all the flaming down there. I either skimmed over what drops it trying to avoid reading the gibberish or it's not listed.

Any info here would be appreciated.

Try reading top of thread. Then ask where she is. if needed.

Just a thought.

This item is an effect, it's not a right-click. So if you de-equip it, you lose the effect, just like a Fishbone Earring.

Don't feed the trolls
# May 02 2001 at 10:24 AM Rating: Excellent
The same few trolls keep posting silly comments and flaming each other on this site. Do not, I repeat, DO NOT feed the trolls. If you see a stupid post or a post that is clearly intended to draw flames and angry responses (calling all other posters "retards" is a good example of trolling,) DON'T REPLY to it. To fall back on a countrified, Ross Perot-ish simile, it's like wrestling a pig: it doesn't work, you both get dirty, and the pig likes it! Instead, just make it go away: all it takes is for two people rate an anonymous post as "Awful" and make it go away. I notice that on this thread, 3 posts have been suppressed so far; keep it up.
#REDACTED, Posted: May 01 2001 at 4:12 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) pretty nice for pullers and casters alike. good to have for a puller when you are pulling caster types, specially necros hehe. and good for casters that are just about to get their epic, their INT and other stats are probably high enough w/o INT in primary, the save is very nice. although there are better things, this sv vs magic is very high. its a good item to keep around in inventory for anyone i think.
#Anonymous, Posted: May 01 2001 at 4:08 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Why give it to a melleer for the effect? Seems every item gets that, "wow! what a nice monk item!!" statement. You want an item just for the effect get a fishbone earring with permanent EB, so you won't lose it to disspelling. This is a caster item. Give it to meleers and you're basically throwing out the stats on it.
Pulling Item
# May 01 2001 at 10:13 AM Rating: Excellent
Any puller will want this. Monk's aren't going to melee the critter, just bring it back to the group. The 20 MR and 10 AC make them much more survivable. This is just what I want for Dragon and Planes raids.

I have to agree with Zinj except for the monks, it does weigh 5 stones. If you've got a warrior (or any other puller, SK, ranger, Pally, etc) pulling, all he's really doing is getting one little arrow off on the critter then running back to camp. If he is feared on the way, it could be all over for the whole group (or maybe just himself). Either way, this would cause one hell of a CR and waste a lot of time. This is a nice piece for pullers. Once the puller gets back to camp, he (she) can just re-equip their normal weapon.
#Anonymous, Posted: May 01 2001 at 10:27 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Be real nice for a monk... except the 5 stones that it weighs. IMHO this would be a pure caster item. Warriors get innate magic resist at higher levels while casters don't always have that benefit. Also a tank probably wouldn't be doing anything at that level solo where he wouldn't have someone to cast EB on them. The ac and MR is nice if your primary stat is maxed without this.
#Anonymous, Posted: May 01 2001 at 8:39 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Heh all you casters are dumb a$$'s it is right CLICK ABLE. don't make me speak in ebonic's. you put it in your hand right black take it out of your hand du'h it isn't that hard to figure out. and im guessing you can probly cast this ED (enduring breath) on other players. Best part is it dosen't take a casting component (fish scales) so this gose good for anyone that can get their hands on it.
#Anonymous, Posted: May 01 2001 at 8:42 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) And are you sure it doesn't require fish scales? There are a lot of right click buff items out there that still require the component to use
Awesome Item

One of the best high level caster items I've seen in a while. 20 save magic is great. I think mostly any caster would use this unless they have their epic.
Chill out folks
# Apr 30 2001 at 8:06 PM Rating: Decent
This item is mostly for the effect, i.e. enduring breath. The ac and sv magic is just bonuses for any caster types that may want to use it as such.

I would love to have this, for when I need to have enduring breath, so I dont have to rely on druids/rangers/necros to keep me alive.
Stop moaning that this isnt a warrior item, and take it for what it is. A fishbone earring for a diferent slot. You use it, then you put it away.Case closed.
#Anonymous, Posted: May 15 2001 at 10:54 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Say what?! You stupid, stupid man! 10 AC and +20 svmagic is "just a bonus" for a class that doesn't melee? That is one of the dopiest things I've ever heard anyone say that's EQ related, and I've spent quite a lot of game time in greater feydark!
#Anonymous, Posted: Apr 30 2001 at 7:06 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Hey guys did you see the effect? I would love one of these just to keep in my inventory. Right-clicking for Enduring Breath sound good to me.
#Anonymous, Posted: Apr 30 2001 at 5:20 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) U R ALL RETARDS!!! The effect is triggered u stupid newbs! just click the thing and put it in inv again! any class can do that just as well. You are all pretty dence if u ask me!
RE: Retards! ?
# Apr 30 2001 at 7:03 PM Rating: Default
ummm.. they weren't ranting about how great the clickable effect of enduring breath is, the great part about this item is the 20sv magic and the 10ac. And obviously since you cant just right click the item and get 20sv magic and 10ac, i think you calling them "Retards!" is not to clever.
#REDACTED, Posted: Apr 30 2001 at 4:27 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) are you dense ??
#Anonymous, Posted: Apr 30 2001 at 5:01 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) If you are smart you would'nt use this for any melee.. PERIOD. Notice it's mainhand only, I seriously doubt any melee would use this in place of a weapon at this level in game.
RE: NOT a warrior item
# May 01 2001 at 8:06 AM Rating: Default
Triggered is when you right click and the effect goes off right? well i think this is great for any class if it does that including my warrior.

RE: NOT a warrior item
# May 03 2001 at 9:51 PM Rating: Decent
There are far easier and more common items to get for enduring breath. Fishbone earring is very nice. No spell effect, so when worn it never wears off and doesn't take up a spell slot. Then there are rebreathers which cast unlimited enduring breaths (believe it's rebreathers...tinker made item anyways, one has 50 charges, other unlimited). Can get tinker version for maybe around 2 k, earring usually a few extra K.

As first person in this little thread said. Only a caster item, not a weapon using class (talking about high levels, where only weapon a caster might wield normally is one that boosts their stats more than another hand held item they have at their disposal, it's not for melee).

This goes to caster classes, or people who pull for their guilds often (you did notice it's from Sirens, you don't often hear tell of people doing major pickup group raids in Sirens cause it doesn't happen). Many monks get Shield of Rainbow Hues because they need all the resistances they can get during pulls in many high level dungeons. Once the pull is finished they switch to weapons if they are to fight, or they just stay on the ground and relax a few minutes after a successful pull. Same can go for other pullers, just monks doing so is very common. And to get this you'll be 51+, likely good deal higher and with the wt increases, won't be that bad at 5 wt.
#Anonymous, Posted: Apr 30 2001 at 3:37 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) WHY OH WHY COULDNT IT BE A WEARABLE ITEM? OR AT LEAST SECONDARY MELEE?!?! It looks like it was meant just for warriors, except that it replaces a weapon.
