Got one of these in Bazaar for the measly price of 100pp. Although I'm a Gnome, I couldn't find a decent 2hb anywhere, and I figured this was pretty decent. nice ratio, delay is at 40, thus giving me a larger damage bonus, and the graphic is pretty nifty. Great buy fer me.

This weapon is great as a Ogre Shadow Knight. The 2HB/SLAM combo with a high taunt and pissem off spell will ensure the MOB wants a piece of you and no one else. Even the very best of monks and rogues can not pull the MOB off of you with this weapon and a haste item(fbss, sash of dragonborn, etc..). However if you are a little guy this weapon sucks.

Also, you must keep a 2hs around to keep your 2hs skill up and ready for the EPIC weapon which is 2hs.

I have spent a good bit o' time in north freeport lately and noticed the price on this thing dropping a lot. As of 1/26/02 i have now seen 3 of these auctioned in the past 2 days for 1K, that is on Drinal server btw. I snagged the 1st one i saw for my SK =)
Increasing 2HB Skill
# Sep 07 2001 at 5:20 AM Rating: Decent
A guildy offered this to me as a loaner and I figured why not try it. My only reservation was I had a 2HB skill of 1. well in 2hrs my skill is up to 35. Can't wait to see this when I get my skill close to 200.

BTW: anyone who plans on using a workman's sledgemallet, the higher 2HB skill, whether its supposed to or not, has been helping me port faster too.

was there a revised version with 7.2 wt that needed to be turned over to a GM for exchange? Just wondering cause I got one last night. Mine says wt10. Odd. :-?
#Anonymous, Posted: Jun 18 2001 at 11:26 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) I traded this weapon and 3000PP for a FBSS....Since I won this by pure luck in a pickup group, I think I got a good deal.
not so great

ok it might just be me but given a chioce of lets say having only 4k to spend will go with a moss and clay guardian shield and keep the change over this.why?19/29 int 10 with a shield to bash and add 25ac and 50hp over only 30/40.ratio is slightly better but you lose the ability to bash and the ac of a shield.i use a bladderstopper and noct.blade myself but stuck to clay guardian shield and moss till i got those.that is the best combo if you not got high level stuff or money for an sk.
Large races and bash

As far as bash goes, a lot of SK's are size large (ogres and trolls, anywhoo) and so they can 'bash' using Slam. As Slam uses their shoulders instead of their shield, they can still "bash" with this or any other 2hd weapon. Not so bad, eh?
#REDACTED, Posted: Nov 11 2001 at 5:01 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) If you're the tank the 19/29 ratio is a whole lot better. Plus if your tanking you need the HP's and AC's from the shield. So IMO this is pretty pointless because even if you're not tanking you'll do tons more damage with the MoSS. And bashing well...your right there. This isn't a flame just a comment.
Its pretty cool

I had one on my 51 reaver, the graphic is kick ***
it is a two handed staff graphic(worn great staff comes to mind) with a big iksar skull at the end of it, hits for over 100 were common at a little over 120 strength hope you all have the pleasure to wield one someday, very cool on dark elf
#Anonymous, Posted: May 27 2001 at 8:25 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Lets State the facts. NO shadowknight solo his way to lvl60, and in a group you will get speed buffs, and probably own a few speed items as well. So for most its easily 50% speed, making this weapon 30dmg 20delay. Drawback is the weight, so in longer battles your stamina might need a refresh from a shammy.
RE: hmm

ROFLMFAO nice crack smoker's math there pal! 50% haste would make you 1.5 times faster than you were currently which would change a 40 delay weapon to 30 delay. No wonder everyone is so fooled into thinking some crappy weapons rock, you couldn't calculate your way out of a wet paper bag. Oh yea, back to the weapon, shadow knights are best when they are larger races like ogres or trolls who already have over 100 stamina so don't need to worry about a weapon's weight unless they like to jump during combat and for those of you who have chosen to be a tiny little shadow knight get your stamina over 100 fool it's worth it...

Dis weapon is awesome. Wid me being a Ogre SK, I not only do phatty damage but can also slam away. And wid me FBSS, its even more incredible. I often hit for 100+, wid my highest hit so far being 117.

#Anonymous, Posted: May 20 2001 at 3:22 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) the moss doesnt have a better ratio then this man. you are insanely unnitellegent
#Anonymous, Posted: May 20 2001 at 3:21 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) 1-2k range!!!!!!??? YOUR AN IDIOT!!! its ratio is .75 man! why would it be cheaper then weapons then weapons with a way lower ratio? you have no idea what your talking about man.
# May 10 2001 at 5:01 AM Rating: Default
Keep in mind with a delay of 40 this gets the high delay damage bonus that the MoSS lacks...
Sweet Weapon
# May 01 2001 at 2:16 AM Rating: Decent
I just got one of these. It is great, it hits harder than my wurmslayer and since I play an ogre I just use slam instead of bash. If you are a fatty SK get one.

Let me beat you to correcting myself, this weapon does have a better ratio than a MoSS, but that is lessened by the bash damage you get while wielding a MoSS.

But...My Troll SK can bash while I use this....

Not all SK's are human.

Got lucky and bought one in Bazaar for 250pp. On Zeb server.

Ogre SK
#Anonymous, Posted: Apr 30 2001 at 3:26 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Saw one for 4k on Rodcet Nife tonight. At first glance I thought it would be a steal to get it, but then there is the more common MoSS which has a better ratio and doesn't stop me from using a shield either. MoSS goes for 4k average now and I'm sure you could get one for 3k if you tried. Taking that into consideration, that would put this incredible weapon somewhere in the 1-2k range.
#Anonymous, Posted: Apr 11 2001 at 11:23 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) This weapon is obviously whacko and whoever has it is very powerful I am sure
