This looks like it could be a focus item - anyone know for sure?
I think it might be. Although many items have Reclaim Energy as an effect, it almost always has a casting time. The exceptions are the Encyclopedia Necrothurgica, Gloves of Dark Summoning and the Rotting Wristguard.
Since the encyclopedia and the gloves are confirmed focus items, I wonder if this is too. Anyone know?
P.S. Lemme just say the mage v.s. necro pissing match is really lame guys. (A) its just a game; (B) just because they are both pet classes, they are still DIFFERENT classes, so they are apples and oranges (might as well argue Shammy v.s. Wizzie or something like that); and (C) who cares what you say is better? What does "better" mean in this context? Better soloing? better PvP? Better in group? Faster leveling? More fun to play? etc., etc. You're probably not even talking about the same thing as the guy your arguing with. So whats the point?

Why Is it half the posts on items on this site are about.. what class should get it or what class shouldn't. I'm trying to find out if this bracer is a hidden necro item and all im seeing are 20 posts about how mages rock over necros. Oh, no wait.. necros rock over mages! Why dont you take the C#$p to www.eq.kissmynecro@ss.com. And start posting about the item in question.
Well, Reclaim Energy is pretty much useless to a Necro (I think I've cast it about five times in 58 levels), whereas an insta-click Reclaim Energy item is pretty much essential to high-level Mages. So it does seem like they confused Mage items with Necro items here... stats are fairly weak considering where the component drops, so a nice effect would have compensated for that.

What is up with the Necro vs. Mage, and visa versa mentality every where I look?
Let me just settle this right now and let things rest...
Mages have better pets (yes we need to just admit this and be done)
Mages have better nukes (DUH!)
Mages can summon very nice things for pets/casters to use (I get them all the time)
Necros can still solo better then mages (snare+fear, and thats all there is too it)
Necros get lots of lady love'n! (The girlies love it when I make them twitch)
Necros are much more intimdating (come on, everyone knows its true)

But this rivalry has got to end! We need to stop taking out our anger on each other..... It should be directed to the animal loving Beastlords, who seem to think they some sort of godly pet class now.... We need to band together and show them who the old school pet pimp daddies are!

i agree mages r nice with good pets and helpful with DS and such..BUT u say u can out solo a necro hehe whatever..we also get a pet buff item form hate..we also can solo til 60..um lets see what else o yeah..and we can stomp your *** in a duel..wanna try it

Im sure if you could ever do it over, you wouldnt choose a Mage. Ya you get a great tank for an epic pet. Ya you can COH people for raids. Umm, what other functionality do you have that makes you more useful than a Necromancer? Smart? More like isolated. Before you post lame 2 sentence remarks in our forums take 2 seconds with that "smart" brain and think about what you say.

lets look at the necros role in a raid
1) you summon corpses, at a cost of 100pp+ per summon(one of the only good attributes IMO)
2) you pump the clerics/enchanters with mana
3) you have a little PoS pet that can tank for about 30seconds tops
4)your DoTs arent fast enough to get anything done and they cause too much agro, so theyre not allowed.
5) you play possum with the monks (FD)
sounds like sooooo much fun i just cant tell ya. i sure do wish i had been a necro, LOL.

plus, our epic isnt a retarded duck head on a stick, we have retarded moraccas(sp?) cha cha cha...at least we can never lose it hehe.

Have you ever fought any of the post 60 critters? Cause if you think they go down before a necro's dots can effect them either you are grouping with a lot of manaburners or you're sadly mistaken.... The time that necro's are most useful in my opinion is when the critter that you are trying to kill has well over 30k hp. Simply because as you say, our dots won't have enough time to work on them otherwise... but a single necro can easily contribute around 10k dmg on those critters. And as for causing too much aggro, that's why they give us FD... and if the tank can't hold aggro... that is his problem and he should upgrade his gear... or ask for a few mins to generate more aggro. It is not a weakness in the necro class
As for mana-pumping... I agree it's a wussy skill to have, but somebody has to do it.
And our FD ability, well golly lets see... there was a total party wipe out in some place like Plane of Hate. Oh wait, there is the necro standing up and rezing the cleric with a clicky stick. The raid seems to be fully rezzed now and ready for some pay back. How is that a crap ability?

You can diss necro's all you want it's all about comprimise in a raid situation for EVERY class. You could rip every single caster/healer about what they do on a raid and how fun it is to buff or summon crap or heal people big deal.
I must tell ya all i do is pump mana/summon bodies and fd, while doing no dmg while my pet dies instantly...

Uber class!? WTF are you smoking, to phrase your wordage. Necro's have a great soloing ability, but definitely not uber unfortunately. Us Necro's have been nerfed straight to hell, some un-nerfs are in order in my opinion :)

Ok so this isn't uber. You know why necros don't get uber stuff? It's the class itself is UBER! and what do you do when you combine an uber class with uber gear? a godly character! Now I can walk around norrath making fun of all those classes that need uber gear just to keep up with the game, just to be 'good players'. Besides, god, look at the effect. Even though Im kind of low (43), I use that effect a whole lot. It would save me not only mana but time ! So stop complaining and start saying: I dun need no uber crap to be powerful! Verant gives me average stuff cuz Im too powerful already! And even if Im a walking nerf stick Im too damn powerful already...

I have been searching the items list for necro stuff for over 6 months hoping for something descent. Even QUESTS are lamer than LAME! Dalnir V-Dagger is nice but that's prety much it. Is it me, or does this seem rather weak for something that takes a 55+ raid to get the components for? 20 HP and Mana is all very well, but you can get that and more from Velium Blue Diamond bracelets... maybe 5-6kpp apiece...
