low ac ... big whoop great hp / sta / agi / resists and plus if there are no shamans in your group you can cast Spirit of Ox on your tank and the rest of the members for a lil extra hp ... it never hurts.

Out of all the quest legs for monks, this is the best. Don't think so? Well look again, ac=too eazy to worry about. Get to 1.2k your fine. What you need in armor is HPs resist, this has the best HP and resist on the legs. there for th best ones you can get for quest ones. Mind you my AoW legs are staying on =)

PS all you bit*hin monk that say we have no armor, look harder its there.
nice effect
# Jan 17 2002 at 10:44 AM Rating: Default
these legs do have a nice effect, you cant go wrong with bonus HP for a monk could have a bit nicer stats but oh well, the only thing wrong with them is they have about a 12 second cast time,

Whats up with all the monk pants having spirit of ox as effect?
RE: Spirit of Ox
# Nov 26 2001 at 11:16 PM Rating: Good
Ummm, all the class specific armor sets from Thurg/SS/Kael/PoG/Hate2 have the same effect on each piece if they have one.

It's a great effect, nothing at all wrong with it. Not like many people will end up getting one than one of these from the various sets. Makes overlapping sets less important. Especially for monks that go to SS faction, for most intents and purposes they are the same ac as PoG/Thurg armor. With some more hp/stats/resists. But not so much that people really need to worry about it much.

No they dont.

Theres a PoG leg Silver Moon I believe that shares this effect of Spirit of Ox, IMHO if your looking for effect this would be the easier of the two to get, seeing as the bracer on PoG is very rare.

Um, sorry, no -- the PoG bracer, like all the other velious monk bracers, summons 3 stacks of shurikens and a bag to keep them in. The silver moon pants, howevewr, have the Spirit of Ox.

Dude pay attention to his post...

All the PANTS have the same effect.

Why are you comparing the bracer and the legs? Do they both fit in the same slot?

Kael/Thurg/PoG/SS/etc/etc bracers all have Pouch of Quellious. Pants all have Spirit of Ox. Etc etc.

d00d pay attention, *sigh* ok, if understood his post to begin with, he was saying that the PoG and SS legs have the same effect, The cracer i believe was a typo since he did say LEG to begin with.
He was simply asking which is more common, SS drops or PoG drops, and to correct you, Thurg bracers do NOT have the pouch of Q spell on them, ONLY SS/Kael/PoG
As for which is the most common, I'm sorry but i don't know, only hunted in PoG once, cleared the whole zone and not ONE piece of monk armor dropped, haven't hunted in ToV yet, but have the SS Bracer (very nice)

It seems anyone can just get to 55+ now eh? I have serious doubts about the skill level of a player when they will take 3ac over 150 hp...

Iceweaves are 3 wt and NOT worth that wt. Oiled Greaves are 1.5 wt and much more worth it.

8 str is a terrible reason to wear 3 wt pants with only midline ac.

Legs drop from wandering trash in Kael. 9 ac 2 sv cold and 0.1 wt if I recall the weight correctly. Can't remember name off top of my head either, I'm wearing them for time being. Droppable so can be bought. Saving myself 3 wt (I happen to have gotten Iceweaves in one of my toons banks collecting dust atm), same ac. Leaves one way more flexible on equipment.

This has gone a little off topic. As for SS legs, I would most certainly wear them over what I have now. If I got Paebala or Oiled legs and SS legs, I would wear both. SS for when I'm pulling mainly casters, or just raiding and being a dmg dealer, where the majority of dmg is from AE. Paebala/Oiled for when I'm tanking/pulling melee heavy mobs where the AC may help.

Also if I'm gonna go over wt with those heavier legs, SS would easily be more reasonable to use, not taking wt hit while gaining the extra HP on the legs...why wouldn't you wear them Unless you are so well equiped, yer beyond anything I've mentioned above.

With that extra 25 point sta buff, I'd probably not ask for a shaman 50 point buff unless I was going to be pulling stuff where I need max amount of hp I can possibly get. Easier stuff, solo, or grouped without shaman and I'd always have a nice little buff.

Total hit points given
# Apr 25 2001 at 5:56 PM Rating: Excellent
At level 60 1 stamina point = 4 hit points.

These leggings give 80 hp from the spell, 32hp from the stamina bonus, and 60 hp directly.

At level 60 that is 172 hp.
#Anonymous, Posted: Apr 25 2001 at 5:20 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) actually the way that you have added it neroes, it comes out to be 155hp :D
RE: 155hp
# Apr 25 2001 at 5:38 PM Rating: Decent
Well, not really--

60hp+75hp=135hp
135hp+30hp=165hp.

;P
lots of hp
# Apr 25 2001 at 4:59 PM Rating: Default
so +20 stamina from the spell is around 75 hp (at 51)
then the 8 stamina.. say 30 hp
165 hp on the legs total
wow
Spirit of Ox
# Apr 25 2001 at 4:52 PM Rating: Decent
Spirit of Ox is a level 24 shaman spell. It's +20 stamina, and lasts for about 40 minutes. This spell we be overwriten by any higher level stamina spell.
