is this a berserker usable weapon?

Barbarian clerics...
I made quest to get this numberous times. Did it at about lvl 20, with mah famous Ogre Shammy... Asked somebody to kill Ambassador K'Ryn for me, and then ran to Crushbone and waited for somebody to kill Ambassador D'Vinn. I think I have done the quest for about 4 times... Sold 1, gave 2 for my other chars, and last I just destroyed when I had no use for it... Didn't know how much it worth, and got about 200pp from it when selling. Also, to get it you just HAVE to equip a crude stein when turning the hearts to Lork! Otherwisely he'll give you stein and you gotta do the quest all over again. Happy hunting on this baby! =)

Also great for jousting on PvP servers. Works well on bards, quick little buggers.

Is there a weapon out there any slower than this, dang. Someone would be NUTS to use this it.

Yep delay 150 dmg 45. Good for the first hit but change weapon after that

Well...it might be 30/70, but remember that weapons with higher delays are granted damage bonuses. Forgive me if i'm incorrect.
Why would you pay the listed price for this, when the Drakkel Forged Sledgehammer has a better ratio, and is 550 plat less? I read the posts about haste, but the same logic can be used on the other weapon you are comparing it to. If the Gatorsmash becomes better with haste, so does the Drakkel Sledge. And, with this thing, would your skill ever go up? You'd need a training weapon, like the thunderstaff, just to get your skill up between levels. 70 delay, yuck. Of course, it would be a good item to use to calculate the haste effect of other items (except weapons, obviously), since with something this damned slow, the haste would be easy to time.

one thing is on tribunal, i know, those hammers (drakkel darkforge) cost 700pp, and this only costs 650pp. however, i do think this is a better item because it has a better max. i know it sounds weird, but when i hit for a lot, it boost my moral.....

K. lets say the FBSS has 20% haste (seen SO many numbers so I'm just taking this) Thats makes this a 30/56 maul with a 1.867 ratio. Not including enchanter haste spells (hmm. at that lvl chanters should have Alacrity) which makes the maul (taking max haste that Alacrity gives) 30/28 with a awesome ratio of .934 (thats with the fbss to. w/o it it will be 30/42 with a ratio of 1.4.) Great weapon at this level if you play your cards right.
This assumes you can use haste with this weapon, but not the other. If another weapon has a better ratio before haste, it still will after, except for some of the really fast 1h weapons, that end up reaching the cap. But lets face it, anyone looking at this weapon isn't a primary tank (or shouldn't be), because the taunt on a 70 delay weapon would stink. Also, if you are at the level that you can get haste items, and are grouping with people who can cast haste spells, you should be able to afford much better than this (like a Drakkel Icegrinder), IMHO.

Too bad 100% haste is only 50% attack reducing. haste just squeezes (haste%) more attacks in your normal delay. that's the SIMPLEST way to put it
Thus, your "30/56" you get from "20% haste" would actually be closer to 30/62. you'd need 40% haste to bring you down to 30/56. and with max haste at 100%, you could be as low as 30/35 (and almost have one of those 2h primal weapoms ratios lol). Just check to make sure you have a CoF and a 49+ chanter on a leash. Mmmkay?

I also got this weapon by doing the assasin quest in Highkeep. Frogot who you supossed to talk to (One of the plate wearing Guys around the entrance) He will give you a note. Give that to a Halflin in the misty thicket , on top of one of those pillars on that long wall that splits the zone. When you give him the note Him and his friend will attack you ( Killed with my rogue when i was 22 i think. one coned blue other green) only tricky part is a Guard wanders very close to there and will attack you. I got my monk friend to handle this part. He pull the guard way into the newbie zone and feiged. And the guard was stuck attack newbie critters while i was killing the halflins ( WARNING. they jump off the pillar and start running when weak, I jump after and took 100ish damage so be careful) after I killed I looted the head and gave it back to that guy in HK and got this maul. Only prob is I took bad faction hits for rivervale and now the rogues wont train me there (but thats what sneak is for ) . well hope this helps

Sure It's delay sucks. But the overall ratio is just nasty. If your fighting a caster DONT use, your never inturrupt him. But if your fighting melee's like Gnolls in SK I would definitly use this over a axe of the iron back or other faster 2h weapon (with a worse ratio of corse). And hitting a critcal hit for over 100 damage will just suprise everyone and make the Maul that much better . Just my 2 cps

Hmmmm You know I have tried and tried to make a ogre cleric but I couldn't......Maybe I will try to make a troll cleric....or even better, a shaman cleric....hehe Somebody needs to fix it so it doesn't say "Cleric" as a class to wield this weapon.

Not to mention you have to kill Divinn and Krynn (THAT ARE ON 2 SEPERATE CONTINENTS!) which is not an easy task. Rarity is common. haha Who has ever seen this weapon in use???? It needs to be fixed. If it had an attack delay of 55 it would be more reasonable. Everyone goes for 2 handers so they need to make one handers a little more tantilizing.-(i spell that right?).
