Cobalt Drake armour is not useable by beastlords.
so it says....one every thread for every piece....why you care, im not sure, my pet wouldnt wear this. thanks tho la~

Does anyone know what the look of these items is?
guys this has 9ac no self respecting 55+ player would wear anything with 9ac on the legs slot. If you think I'm wrong, ask any 55+ person on your server. Just skip this one if you are interested in making some tailored stuff from velious, this one is garbage. I could understand if it was 19 ac but 9 is just junk. Even my totemic leggings were 12 ac.
Heck my plane of growth shaman legs are 22 ac and only took a few hours to get with the help of a few nice guilded peeps =)

I disagree. If your guild is gearing up for a Vox type dragon raid everyone knows that resistance is key and AC means nothing. The dragon is gonna hit you for huge damage no matter what your AC is but you can at least deflect the magic with high resists. Certainly wouldn't wear them on a daily basis but on a raid they would be useful. Just my 2cp.
What you need to collect in order to make the Reinforced Cobalt Hide Leggings:
Bricks of Velium that drop in Crystal Caverns (the unstackable ones--minimum needed is 3 but i'd get 5 or 6)
Drake Eggs (1 needed; can forage them in Skyshrine but it takes forever even with 155 foraging skill...good luck!)
Cobalt Drake Hides (1 needed)
Coldain Velium Temper (buy this near mines in Thurgadin for around 25pp a piece)
File (see below)
You need smithing to combine the File, Coldain Velium Temper and Velium Brick in order to get a VELIUM BONING. You need THREE BONINGS FOR THE LEGGINGS. Then you need a brewer to combine the DRAKE EGG and a FLASK of water to make Drake Egg Oil. Then take the BONINGS and tailor it with a PATTERN, the DRAKE EGG OIL, and the DRAKE HIDE.
Oh, and hope your tailor doesn't fail. OR the brewer you're using. Or even the smith.

Aye, for those thinking that you can just get tailoring up and make these with no trial ... you are in for a nasty surprise. The failure rates on most Velious tailoring over crystalline are just painful (because trivial skyrockets). If you really want a pair of these I would suggest you find a tailor with high skill and give them the components and hope they do not fail (as stated above). This would be MUCH easier and less time consuming. Not to mention it would give the tailor a chance to skill up. Always a good thing!

Created through tailoring. Try sites such as EqTrader for recipes.

Oops, sorry, EqTraders. You will get a site devoted entirely to auctions on different servers if you type in www.eqtrader.com but a site with a lot of tradeskill information and other things if you type www.eqtraders.com (note the 's')

Anybody got any ideas on what it would cost to comission a tailor to make some of these?
