Heh. Far be it from me not to complain, but I would rather like this reclaim energy. I am one piece away from my epic and I have been starting to plan about this spell. Soon as I turn in all my epic pieces I will lose all my triggered reclaim gear (and it is rumored that the Staves of Elemental Mastery reclaim more efficiently than the smaller stuff, don't know if this is true but I always use it, sniff. Gonna miss that and my Feathered Cloak, bloody mage epic).
I have the Harvested Gem, but I can't bare the Reclaim Casting time. All the other stuff is instance cast.
Does anyone know if this item is instant or has a casting time with it? It's gonna suck to have to carry a Sol torch or shovel in my pack for the rest of my life.
that's NOT true about staffs ... not entirely anyway. I don't know the exact formula but it goes something like this ...
Reclaim mana amount is based on summoned pet's HP. Staff of Mastery are FUCUS items for lvl 51-59 pets (like the stein, torch are for lvl 4-49 pets). Thus, with SoEM you reclaim more mana back.

Gosh..i'm SOOO glad i didn't buy that spell that costs all of a few gp...see...why bother when you get that spell on half your focus items....now if only we could have a few more money saving spells added to our items..i'll be rich before i know it!

The effect ? > man ! we already have our focus items to do the trick, no need of having another thing casting it. And please ! look at these stats ! They truly suck. Considering the difficulty of the quest, that wrist item is really a waste. If you want int > get yourself a golden chitin bracer, and you'll get some nice str, so useful for all you mages who get encumbered so easily. If you want resists, go farming, make a hell of pp's and buy a blue diamond bracer ... No really, this item SUCKS ! (thanks again Verant, you make mages' quest items sooo useful ! /rude)

The only thing this does is replace the time needed to switch out whatever I may be holding in my hand with the broom of trilon that I got at level 20. And the bracer has a cast time I believe, while the focus items are instant cast.
Well, there are some low level spells around that are so usefull to a certain class that you still use em at a higher level. For me as a druid a lot of items grant spells like SoW or Snare but I still use those spells and even if they only cost me a low amount of mana to cast em, I prefer having em for free as it will also save me a spellspot.
Also, be aware that the SoV-Quests give similar rewards for each of the Skyshrine, Thurgadin and Kael quests. The stats difer a little bit but the spell remains the same.
Mages have 8 focus items (4 of which we have to get) that all have reclaim energy. That's the gripe, we don't get a free spell slot we just get a spell that that we are already carrying around four items with the spell. Only if we had the epic weapon or completely abandoned the sub 50 items without getting any of the focus staffs would we need this.
On the other hand I figure this is a matter of another reclaim energy or nothing so that's ok. Just so you druids and others know this isn't and spell that we cast continually and it only costs 10 mana to cast. It is more of a slap in the face than a help.
