It may be due to there arent many on this server (many things were changed before this server went live; ie - no manastones dropped, no guise of the deceiver, etc - so this may be one of them)

Okay, I know that these are priced highly by Necro's & Tanks & PvPers, but c'mon! People are expected to sell all their equip & spend their life savings on plat on EBay just to buy a necklace that procs Eye of Zomm? I prefer to just buy a frickin' Staking Probe or two. Your probably not going to run out of them for a while & when you are, just buy more. Since you could make more money while working with the Probe to buy more & to have extra, you could save a bundle.
Now I'm sure I'm going to recieve backfire & horrible ratings for my post because I am fed up with these Insane prices some jerks post. Take a Gold Plated Koshnigatana. 9/20? with Dismiss Summoned. Here it says it's worth 2.5k. I check on my server, & 3 others. That waste of money is worth 500pp tops. I traded mine for a Weighty Polearm.
Now, necro's are most likely lovers of Eye of Zomm for it can be tapped/bonded for health while you lich yourself. But save money to actually buy Lich or other spells & just buy Stalking Probes or go to Naggy's Lair & Solo SS's. PvPers must love the effect to look for people you may have trouble with, but not the price & the actual stats. Tanks love Eye of Zomm to check on camps. PvPers, do what I always, buy a Stalking Probe. Tanks, get a wizzy/mage/stalking probe.
Yes I know SP's run out of charges, but I frequently see 8 go for 50pp. That can last for 40 Eyes. Now, I'm really fed up with the people who post these insane prices, along with that 8 AC ring that drops in FM. The person who posted prices, he kept copying & pasting everything he said about 20 times so he could flux the price to 4k. Btw, the same guy posted a price here. I'd say these should go for 10k TOPS.
End of Rant (P.S-I know I'm going to get bad ratings, but please, look at the item, look at the items that have Eye of Zomm, & re-read my rant. I'm sure it'll make sense for anyone.)
Edit- I also just learned that these no longer drop. They should go for 20-35k Tops if you really want one. If you see higher, buy some SP's. Oh and when I'm talking about Tanks, I mean like INT tanks in all INT caster grps. Trust me, I've been in a few.

Sure you can. But you cant tap any eye if you are in zones like Bazaar, PoK or PoT.
Some people don't really have anything to do with their money and these are pretty darn rare.

Well just because you don't think its worth 200k ( not saying it is ) doesn't mean others aren't willing to pay 200k or more.
You are leaving out many important factors also when you consider why it is worth 200k to some people.
on because upgrades tend to be no drop.
Its called supply and demand, there is a little supply for it and many people want it so people are able to sell it for the most they will get for it ( thats the point of selling items to make money not to help the world out )
Yes stalking probes are cheaper and can do the same job, but this item is much more convenient it takes up less space, never runs out so you don't have to constantly go back to the bazaar.
Also people at higher levels, in good raid guilds don't have anything left to buy in the bazaar sometimes and they can afford to spend more money on items like this and it goes back to supply and demand someone with plat, realy wants it, they will pay it to make sure they get it, they aren't going to wait around to see if that price drops when they know someone else is willing to pay that plat for it.

The test server reports that eye of zomm no longer causes agro.
It's true that mobs no longer aggro on the Eye, so you can't pull with it. But this isn't really a nerf....well, it depends on what one considers a "nerf", I suppose. It does mean that you get free long-distance scouting without aggro, which is also extremely valuable.
It changes the use of the Eye, both for casters and non-casters who use this item, but it doesn't really lower its value.

As a necro these beads are way overpriced. Do people realize you can buy Stalking Probes made by your friendly neighborhood Tinkerer for 25-30pp each? Each stalking probe is 5 charges of eye of zomm. Yes, that means you do not have infinite charges. But, how many 25pp items can you buy for 50kpp...well...that would be 2,000 of them and 10,000 eyeballs you could summon with those. And you can sell the expended stalking probes to vendors for 13+pp...and I doubt a necro would let their friend borrow their elder beads...but these stalking probes are cheap enough to give to your non-pet class groupies so you can tap when you have a pet.
Monks...not sure if the beads are worth it for you. They are very situational and if you need the eye, probably would be cheaper to go with the stalking probes as well.
But...if you have pp to burn...

When I read the post that these might have been taken out of the game I thought to myself "Didn't I loot these ages ago?" So I checked my bank and sure enough WOOHOO!! I have been told by several people on my server that these are worth around 50-60kpp. I only know that i've have nothing but fun playing with these things (being a warrior with fun Magic thingy hehe) Finally something fun to playwith :P

Holgresh Elders now drop beads with "identify" on them (loot from the Grand Vizier).
I'd place these at about 100kpp in value. If you disagree, you obviously dont have them.

These have not dropped for a while now. Any high level Monk who sells them obviously does not spend any time pulling. I would not sell mine for 100k, 200k, 500k, or 1m, I don’t care. They are priceless to me.

How do you know they were? I got a pair in about a half hour (plus the +20 str gloves for my warrior twink, /wink), but I have heard they are quite rare. Maybe they just didnt drop for you...

Hmmm, they may have changed the gloves AFTER you got them, but the 6ac 20str gloves you are referring to are now NO DROP.

This item has been taken out, because of the usefulness to necros, no doubt.
A friend had one, and the GM of the largest guild on my server offered him HUGE cash for it.
For a necro, the few that exist = free, endless mana which they can shove to any caster, forever.

As long as they don't have a pet summoned, but how often does that happen? NEVER. Necro's cannot use the effct if they have a pet because the eye is also considered a pet.
A friend of mine got these about a month ago, and he was going to just throw them in the bank. Then I told him he could remote pull, Heal Necros/SK's, AND scout around with them for free. Now he has the beads with him all the time.

Actually, I know that in the "high end" game, Necros barely use their pets, usually during "uber" encounters. If the pet can't hit the mob, why use it? And furthermore, the beads' usefulness to a necromancer level 34+ who root/dots for exp is unimaginable, I would've killed for these when getting xp, along with almost any other necromancer I know.
But, these beads are a fun asset to ANYONE, not just necromancers. From what I have seen, any class can use these from an inventory slot, like Journeyman's boots. Get your beads, and clicky an eye of zomm. I personally don't have this great item, but still speak greatly of it from what I have heard about it. Good luck getting yours.

Yes it works.. I want one of these myself... ***** bandages... gimmie siomething I can tap and not have to worry about the fact I got lazy leaving Lich on too long:P

I am a mage on Morell-Thule. Traded these to a 60 monk in my guild for a Journeyman's walking stick he didn't need. (5k item) Not only can he use the beads, but while FD the mob will just kill the eye. NO AGGRO on monk. so you get 30 sec (duration of spell) AGGRO free scouting while FD. He also loves the item for pulling, If overpull, he can FD without even getting hit.

From what I've heard Elders only. But yes you can tap/bond the eyes for health. A must have for necros.

These dropped off of just elders or any Holgresh? BTW is it true you can lifetap/bond your own eye so you can have health on an uber raid so you can lich for mana?
