How to recharge
# Nov 25 2003 at 3:26 AM Rating: Excellent
To recharge this item you buy a Veeshan stone from the Channeler Otean or some elf guy in the PoK Library, port to Sky, and buy a Box of the Void and a class *three* mana battery. Combine Pauldrons and class three mana battery in Box of the Void and get recharged pauldrons.

Box disappears after combine. Pretty much need to make the trip each time.

Would be SO much better if you could combine in a regular toolbox.

Just finished these shoulders in PoA, the pieces dont seem all that rare to me, the quest is easy to do all the quest pieces are semi rare drops off common mobs on isle 3, 4, and 5. Good shoulders :)
MANA BATTERY!!

Not that I will be able to get one of these for my Warrior any time in the forseeable future, but the number of charges on most of the sky things seem incredably low to me. Perhaps people who get these ought to /feedback to request a fairly simple quest to recharge these items. Preferably hand the item to someone in Plane of air, and get back a fully charged version. Or if multiquesting is taken out the item + one item from the first isle to get it recharged.

Just a thought

Bah who cares. Would you really make the effort to go back to skyplane just so you could recast Spirit of Cheetah? It's just nice armor that's all... Many decent items have charges that no one worries about recharging. (Look at the Stein of Moggok). The beauty of these pauldrons isn't the effect, it's the good AC with very good stats (namely the agility which is even more AC). If you need Spirit of Cheetah that badly, look up a shammy for a real agi buff. 8)

spirit on the cheetah is a movement buff (like sow) and I could see a warrior using this in a situation where he tanks a little to give his group a chance to run if things get ugly with no way to evac.

Even if they did that, it wouldn't be cost effective. Spend over 200platinum and then take the time to go to the island with the recharge quest giver to just get 1 or more charges of an effect? The main point of the items from Plane of Air was the super stats, most of which weren't up to the par of many kunark items a month later.

i think there is a merchant up there that sells a container that you combine with an item called a mana battery and you get the quest item back with full charges... just sumthin i'v heard, and i don't know who the merchant is, only been to air twice.
