This just dropped off of Terror for me last night, so apparently any golem can drop one.

I also have a one of these using on my 27 druid, it is a nice weapon but am willing to sell it for 1500pp. Im on xev server if interested.

I totally lucked out and caught this bad boy up in the bazaar for a mere 1250pp
So I said sucks to my testament and velium etched stone mace and now im livin the high life.

This dropped off Fright last night when my guild went in Fear to finnish our paladins epic. We also got a bunch of monk and other caster type armor from the other mobs in the zone. Of course the ball for my epic didn't drop, sigh.

I am currently wielding a springwood club and a testament of vanear. A total of 15wis for much much less pp. This is a druid only item and it procs at lvl 40 and by then all of you should already have the spell drones of doom.... the 100hp and 50mana is a nice addition but if you dont want to waste all your pp go with the springwood and testament.
Is this a triggered proc or battle proc?
The proc is a combat proc. That's what the "random" means above. It's the same proc as on the ES vambraces. If you're buying this weapon for the proc, buy the ES vambs instead. Same proc, triggered. I currently own three items with the same proc: this staff, ES vambs, and my Thurgadin bracer. The Thurgadin bracer would be the best for the proc, as it is triggered as well and the cast time is (slightly) less than on the ES vambs (7.5 seconds as opposed to 8.0 seconds). This staff is helpful if you're crushing a mob when it turns to run. Other than that, if you're like me, you don't have 2hb really worked on, so you don't hit for much or hit often.
All in all, a very nice staff for the stats. 15 wis and 100 mana comes in real handy very often. Not to mention that the 100hp bonus on the staff has saved my life several times already.

Ok got this awsome staff by sheer luck but what lvl does it proc at?
I got mine in my mid 40's and it procced from the get go. I can't say with certainty, but I don't think there's a minimum level on when the proc will work.

and yes i know a pally can't use it but a lvl 38 druid friend can so again what lvl does it proc at?
Level 40 is what I've been told by people using it.

I guess I got lucky then. I bought it off a vendor in Bazaar on the Cazic-Thule server for 2500pp. It is a sweet weapon and It replaced my cone of mystics and testament of vanear. The 100HP is a sweet bonus I think!

Since this is 2HB it replaces primary and secondary, ok we got that. With the effect of drones of doom it will also replace ES arms, so it will free up the arm slot for an improved stat item. I have cone of the mystics and a book of obulous though, so I believe I would lose mana with this item. I could put a better item in my arm slot, and the 100 hp would help. I would like this staff except for the fact that my 2hb is 1 and I would have to train that for a long time :(
Why would this replace the ES vams? The vambraces are clickable drones of doom. This is a proc. I don't know many Druids willing to run in and wail away trying to get this thing to proc.

Ok I got one today off Nagafen, the stats are not bad and I can do 49 damage with it per hit. granted the Drones is a proc not triggerd I still would use the ES vambracers for the triggerd effect, no way do I want to pound on somthing waiting for it to proc while getting the crap beat out of me. Ill still keep it, it did replace my 2 hand items but its a even replacement too bad the items are no drop or I could have gotten some extra cash to buy my ES vambracers :). allso I seems to get aggro allot more with this item then others, I have a feeling that each hit is like a cast on the mob, so im just racking up aggro and that DoT is a LvL34 Dot and does aggro a bit.

ok, it may say 15 wis, but it adds 50 mana, also equivalent to 5 wis, so, this is a 20 wis item once you reach lvl 50

This item for 25k, rofl. Think about it. It is 2h so it has to replace the secondary slot too. I have normal gear than can be achieved at lvl 40, the Testament of Vaneer (spelling?) and Dark Ember. Combined they give you 15 wisdom and 30mana. At lvl 45 I started using the ES Vambraces. They are a "triggered" drones of doom. The two buyable items are about 7-8K, and the testament is a quest. Much less expensive than 25K.
Whoever gets this item will probably end up in their bank, since they will be unable to sell it for what they think it is worth.

Drones of Doom is a high level druid spell that is like creeping crud, it is a dot spell. That means it does damage over time. This particular dot spell is very good. It does a lot of damage/seconds. Not sure on the exact ratio, but its a lot.

The effect is a 360 point dot over the course of 1 minute. So once the proc lands, it does 36 damage a tick. :)
