Still Drops

I'm leveling up a bunch of alts and started to farm CT for this stone. Initially I was very disheartened but I got my first challenger after clearing about half the zone. Not too bad really and it goes fast enough.

I have had 7 challengers spawn now. I killed pretty much everything, and while 7 spawns is hardly enough data to be definitive about it, I only had luck with triggers from monsters in the front courtyard, the wiz TP area, and the throne room. I plan on getting 6 more in a week or two. Will update it again then.

Still drops as of 1/5/10

This item still drops as of 1/5/10. A 59 monk with tank merc cleared out the courtyard and got it the first round.
Not Worth 5 hrs

Took about 5 hours of camping the first courtyard to get the Changling to spawn.

Its a long camp folks, but well worth it.

I gave up after about an hour (more than 5-dozen kills). Definitely not worth 5 hours ffs.

Still Drop?

Do augments still drop from previous Hot Zones? I'm assuming no, but I saw this augment referenced in another forum like it still dropped. Thanks.

NVM I just noticed that the answer to this question was already answered in a related post. Yes, augments still drop.
Weight
# Dec 12 2006 at 7:10 PM Rating: Decent
Now i can't speak for this augment in specific. But i have 4 of the new Hot Zone augments and they all have weight. There is no weight listed on the item, but they do weigh something. Approximately 1 - 2 stones, depending on aug. I'm not sure if this is something that was just overlooked or if its intentional ... but it sucks for my monk to have these augs equiped because of the weight limitations on that class.

Hope they change them so they do in fact weight 0.0 like every other aug in the game.

Two Examples:

Thrice-Laced Wristguard - 0.7 weight
Thrice-Laced Wristguard w/ Stone of Might (augment) - 2.1 weight

Rusted Muramite Battle Crest - 0.6 weight
Rusted Muramite Battle Crest w/ Greater Stone of Power (augment) - 1.7 weight

I found a Stone of Greatness with the above stats in CT last night; I went through the tunnels and got jumped by two see-invis'ing spiders. As I fought them, one changed into An Unmasked Changeling or something along those lines, which looked exactly like me, except it/he/I was bald. Fun place, CT.
also dropped in Old Sebilis.

Guildies got these off frogs in Old Seb, post-hotzone revamp (05 Dec 06).

They had 6-7 drops in a two hour period, killing trash frogs. Pattern was mentioned to be something along the lines of other hotzone trash-named (ie:kill trash + named spawns off the death of trash mob-- or trash mob calls for help, spawning named).

They also said the named that dropped the aug always spawned as a mirror image of the person on #1 agro (ie: human warrior, woodelf paladin, etc).

Are you sure it was this item and not the similar Stone of Might which dropped in Sebilis?

Could have sworn guildies linked a 10ac, 45hp from Old Seb, but went there today and farmed till an unmasked changeling spawned. Only drop from Sebilis was the 8ac, 30hp Stone of Might. Killed two of em to be sure.
