I tried this on several pets to see what was going on. At lvl 70, I cast my lvl 59 mage pet, and the pet was grey to me. I then did the same thing using the blade, and the pet was then green. Never at any time was there a message that the item was glowing, sparkling, or anything else to denote that the item had worked.

Ok i got this blade to drop for me in Blackfeather Roost i am lvl 59 and when i summon my pet it does nothing no message or text to tell me it worked like other focus effects. Now does this mean that it only works on PETS that are lvl 59 or what??? Please any help would be appreciated.

it must go off of spell level just like any other focus effect because there is no way to know the exact level of the pet itself unless you use a cheat. besides, when i used a staff of elemental mastery to summon my 51 pet which had been light blue i didnt get a message but i got a dark blue pet.

Have you ever considered hanging out in PoK and asking verious people to conn your pet? Lets pretend a lvl 60 player comes over and cons your pet. It just so happens to be white to him. Guess what. You just found out what lvl pet you have. Drop your pet, summon a new one using a focus item, and have that same lvl 60 player conn your new pet. If it happens to conn yellow, then your focus item has worked and your pet is now a higher level. Hope this sheds some light away from the cheating factor.
What do you mean by
Its actually quite simple to know the exact level of your pet. Target it. If it's dark blue, its between 1 and 5 levels lower than you. If it's light blue, its more than 5 lower. Next, find someone the level you THINK it is, and have them target it. If it's white to them, you were correct. Yellow, its higher than you thought, and blue, its lower. Find someone one level higher or lower (depending on if it was yellow or blue) and have them repeat. When you find someone it cons white to, you have the level.

Yes, the level of the pet is what the focus is based on. Spell level is useless when looking at focus items. I find that this focus adds 2 lvls to MAG pets. Nice item.

Okay heres an important point...

# Orb of Swarming Darkness
# Sphere of Swarming Darkness
# Sphere of Swirling Flame
Out of all these items, this is the only droppable item with this particular pet focus. It's better than the ldon focus obviously as well.
To top it off, this happens to be the lowest usable requirement than any of them as well, meaning you can use on your lvl 59 pets and higher:
1: Pet Power Increase(20)
2: Limit: Max Level(75)
3: Limit: Min Level(59)
----
This is very cool cause the older MoD pet focus items above are mostly lvl 68+ no drop usable items. Used to defeat the min pet lvl limit unless you wanted to use a obsolete pet.
Anyway, just my few cents. This is an exceptional item, especially if you get your hands on this at lvl 59 :D

I have this range item for my bsty.i dont care about pp, yes its good to have. this mob poped on me 4 times by the portal going up to 4th island. maybe this will help.

Gee thats nice I hope your pockets are proud. Rember that selling price from server to server differs however I have seen this item selling as high as 250k. Now usefull information reguarding the Droping of the item that would be handy.

Since I cant post a second sale I thought I would post here. I sold my first one for like 65k I got another blade and tried 85k but didnt sell over a few days so I lowered it to 78k and it sold in a day or so. So I have sold two now one for 65k and another 78k.

which Island dose the drop on?
i had been farming the mob on 2nd island, sometimes he dropped belt, other times he dropped pet focus, he always dropped something nice, it was never a waiste of time.
zone is always empty on progression because obviously people would rather farm rathe giants or gems in poj jail. I myself think gear is always a good investment, u can always trade or use for alts or donate to guild.
