yes it is a dispell, take a look at the landing effect.

Quote:
Cast on Other: Someone's enchantments fade away with the wind.

the reason that lucy says fading memories as the effect is because of the way this dispell works. It ONLY dispells beneficial buffs on the mobs (IE it dispells the NPCs buffs, but the spell will not Dispell slow/tash etc from the mob).

This may sound familiar to the ranger's spell line of nature's balance, and it should. Take a look at the spell details for Nature's balance and you see the same thing, Fading memories is the 'slot description'. the reason for this is because fading memories was the first player ability/spell that Removed only beneficial buffs from NPCs , so now when spells have that same effect they just use fading memories as the slot description.
Comparing

I still believe that comparing individual pieces is a valid argument, since piecing together our gear from a variety of encounters and sources are always the best way of optimizing it.

as an exampel you can wear 2 TSS Bracers, but I am personally going for 1 tss bracer and 1 Frost - Scarred Giant Hide Bracer.

Anyway I compared all Demiplane gear that went as monk gear (is actually mnk/bst/dru, gear. With the TSS gear that is 2 expansions ahead. I took a break during the PoR expansion and only came back during TSS, so I don't have any comparing numbers for that expansion. Perhaps someone else can do that.

The Gear I use are the following, Osh`Vir`s Whisperwind vs. Forgotten Artist's Mesh.

Numbers in total, Osh`Vir`s are always the FIRST number.

Ac. 353, 316.
FR. 205, 180.
CR. 195, 190.
MR. 190, 195.
PR. 210, 180.

HP. 3675, 2455.
END. 3560, 2435.

Combat Effects: 44, 15.
Stun: 5, 8.
Dot Shield: 9, 5.
Attack: 290, 175.
Shielding: 10, 6.
Spell Shield, 9, 11.
Accuracy: 60, 70.
Strikethrough: 10, 0.
Regen: 25, 31.
Dmg. Shield: 15, 7.
Avoidence: 70, 90.
+FK: 25, 0.

Osh`vir`s get the following beneficial effects to a monk.

Improved block 5, Faerune, Haste 45%, Cleave 7,

Whispering Wind = 2x Debuff.
Impenetrable Body = lowers cooldown on Impenetrable disc. with 60 sec.

Forgotten Artist's get the following bebeficial effects to a monk.

Cleave 6, Haste 45%, Form of Endurance 4.

Now I fully agree that overall the TSS armor is OFC. a lot better then the gear that is 2 expansions old.

However there are some strange numbers, especially considering that the TSS armor is ONLY for monks, while DPoB was for Dru/Mnk/Bst.

We Lose 3% to Stun Resists, one of the most important Focis to a monk.

There are 5 less magic resists on it, perhaps encounters are different and require less magic resist in TSS. I don't know.

We lose 2% to Spell Shield. Ok the argument can be that since Osh`Vir`s are pure melee gear, we will get a hit on that, but it's from gear that are 2 expansions old and trust me the spells hit for no less in TSS.

We Lose 10 in Accuracy. I can't explain why, again I just find it strange.

We Lose 6 in Regen. Ok we get new aa's that increase regen gained from gear, but lose it upgrading? I don't know, personally I am not bothered about regen, but still.

We Lose 20 avoidance. Well we should be able to make it up on other gear, but still it bothers me that end game gear that is 2 expansions older beats TSS armor, Especially again, since TSS is Monk only and DPoB was for 3 classes.

On all the other stuff TSS are significantly better then DPoB, the HP and END bonus combined are extreamely powerfull in it's own right, and the new BP effects that was added in the patch, has brought the TSS tunic up to a lvl. where I would definately prefer it over the DPoB one.

However my Single argument is that End Game gear (Especially Class specific Endgame gear), Should be better not in most areas, but in all areas, when compared to previously end game gear......... Especially when it's 2 expansions older.

Perhaps you don't agree with this, and that is fine, but it is just my view on things...

Perhaps if someone got a program that can compare gear over several expansions, I can be proved wrong in my view and it can be shown that in all expansions we gain some and lose some, but overall gain more then we lose... 2 steps up 1 down , so to speak.
Let me throw up.

What a disapointment this is. I simply can't get over how much the loot of this expansion suck.

Compare it with https://everquest.allakhazam.com/db/item.html?item=48909 (DPoB tunic)

And anyone wearing that, I can't see them spending any DKP to upgrade to this, unless it was going practically free, or they had a few braincells few of a whole deck.

Lets compare them shall we.

Upgrading, you get stat wise.

+100 hp (great)
+70 end (good)
+7 ac (normal upgrade)
-5 total resist (**** poor)

Upgrading, you get modifier wise.

-10 Accuracy (I let it stand with no comment)
+15 Attack (ok, but one of the modifiers most monks got covered and then some)
+5 avoidance (ok, but again most monks, at this level of gameplay is over the cap, making it useless)
+2 Dmg. Shield (nothing to make me lie sleepless, at night with exitement)
-5 regeneration (********)
+1 Shielding (ok)
-8 Stun Resist (Who makes this crappy gear anyway?)
-45% haste (not a big deal if you allready got haste elsewhere, but if you don't upgrading this meens upgrading 2 pieces as you also gotta get a haste item.

All in all this Tunic is not wort the time and day spendt getting it for a monk who allready got DPoB tunic.... I am sad to say that besides HP most (not all), socalled upgrades in this expansion issen't upgrades, at all.

Let me throw up.

The Ferocity 7 Neck that drops off of the first event in Ashengate North Haunting Ruby Amulet should be on any Monk's list which would in theory drop well before you are able to kill the final boss of Ashengate North or Frostcrypt Raid 2. So the haste issue is pointless. If you are seriously limited on haste by only having the DPoB tunic then you can get a 36% haste DON aug Soapstone to tide you over until you get the neck in Ashengate North. Added to the new ENCH 65% haste you will be at 100% haste with this aug anyway.

The Accuracy issue is pointless since Accuracy at this level of the game is easy to come if you choose your gear upgrades wisely and pick DPS gear over tanking gear. The click effect on the TSS chest and the focus effect make this tunic far better than the generic leather tunic of DPoB. You have an instant cast 300 range pulling tool with the right-clickie TSS tunic and your defensive disc of TSS has it's cooldown timer reduced by a full 60 seconds. Having the instant cast pulling ability frees up bandoleering out a better ranged slot item for some throwing item to pull with.
Let me throw up.

You guys are both dumb.

You shouldnt compare individual pieces, instead look at the pieces as a set. So far only 4 pieces of monk armor, Tier 4 TSS are listed. Ok, so the BP doesnt have haste, but how do you know the leggings dont? If you look at the combined stats on the gear that we know of, it looks great. Instead of just having one or two, maybe three modifiers, they have them for every damn stat there is available.

You get your full set of DPoB armor, I'll get my full set of TSS T4 armor, and meet me in the Arena.
Let me throw up.

I concur: I'd prefer the Demi BP since I would almost certianly be wearing it by the time we get to the end level TSS raids. the +100 hp is not enough of an upgrade to warrent using DKP on it, vs the Demiplane of Blood BP.
