I know this is not troll usable. however my friend has a troll, very low int. and it costs a LOT of mana to make a pet.
I guess my point is as a Erudite/Shadowknight you may have put points in other places like strength or agility.... not bringing your mana pool to its fullest potential.
Anyways. Especially when you FIRST get a pet. Like a lvl 9 pet, AT lvl 9 sucks a lot of mana. This helm is awesome. Its a spell effect a SK would not normally get. Right near point of death, click, get enough mana maybe to make another pet or dot the mob.....
I am looking at all this stuff and seriously concidering making a Erudite Shadowknight... lol. its not UBER. but this can be with you untill 65 because it returns X amount of mana, the more the pet costs, the more you get back.
Yes, you're definitely going to have a hard time as a plate wearing class with such low STR as what Erudites get. Don't forget, too, that you should put 5 points into AGI, so you don't suffer Avoidance/Mitigation penalties. That's going to make it even harder to do anything with your, also low, STA. Plate classes are not what Erudites are made for, not even Clerics. They dump too many points into INT by default that can't be used elsewhere. Casters are what Erudites are meant to be. You're going to struggle playing anything else.

If you were me and I were you, would we still be friends?
I made a Erudite SK about a Week ago on Ralloszek to Attept to Quest for all the Ridossan armor, then find another sort to fill in the rest, as luck would have it 2 rangers killed mugglewup the Day i joined the server :). ws lvl3 at the time, they came up, gave me invis then i ran down and looted the corpse (died ofcourse), then they pulled the corpse back up for me. Really decent and alot of People dont know where it comefrom, it basically Kills your pet and Sucks the mana out of it that you used to summon your pet. the Helm also droped 2hours later the 2nd time they killed him :D
Just got one also for my lvl 11 SK. At what lvl does this take affect? Tried and doesn't reclaim. Also get the 'notsufficient level to use' message. Thanks
It's light. It has STR, which makes up for the weight. It's free, has a bit of int, svs, etc.. and AC. And best of all, when you're about to zone, instead of losing all that precious mana you poured into that bonehead skelly pet.. F1 twice, right click helm, poof~ Mana back! I think it is, indeed, very nice. :) If I had an erudite SK, I would definately own one of these until I could do Darkforge. =)
Plus, you can say nyah nyah at all the big Eruz SKs who whine they can't get this without a twink. =) Unique graphic, I do believe.. the erudite SK who looted this gleefully ran all the way to zone cheering when I offedf Mugl. =) Obviously this item makes some folks happy, "questionable" stats and all.
I am happy to see Verant putting some more items inbetween quest and banded/fineplate. =) Ones we can ATTAIN! at that =D
Hehehe if I ever make a rogue I want to aneme it Shadar Logath. That may not be the right spelling. I saw a level 50+ monk a while ago named Shaido Ailman, lol.
Yep there is a link onto the cold iron quest. It leads to a quest for the Tunic of Rodissan. I currently have all 3 pieces. The tunic, leggings, and helm. I wear them mainly for the unique look :) Legs + tunic look like green scale, helm, brownish scale with pokeys.
Quest links off a keyword when you finish the leggings quest. it is NOT in brackets, which is probably why i was amongst the first to find it :)
also erudite sk only, but *quite* nice. stats / screenshot are on everlore.
It's an rare drop by the Mugglewump. I parked my level 3 SK outside the Warrens with SoW and invis, took my 34 Ranger down there, and whooped up on him about a dozen times before it dropped. Good stats, especially at low level, and the Reclaim Energy is nice to have, especially as I understand it SK's don't even get that spell.
HMMM...this would be a great item for a lvl 15 or lower Sk just for the ac and stats. But my lvl 12 Sk uses BI crown which is much better on Vallon Zek server.I would still like to get my hands on this item though.
Let me explain something as a Elementalist, I have a lot of items that have reclaim energy. Up until Velious I will say all I had was my 4 focus items that did in fact reclaim energy. Now after velious I have come across multiple items that have that function but as of yet I have not found any evidence to suggest that any of them are focus items. Now my point is, VI decided it was time to put this effect on multiple items now for whatever reason. While this COULD be a focus item, it is highly unlikely that any class except the class whose full time function is to summon, would get ANY item that would make their summoning better.
I have to say that this is probably the best designed item from Warrens that I've seen. It's not too powerful. It has ok stats, but not bad. It has a semi-useful right click effect, especially for SKs of that lvl. I like it!
Just wondering if you can use this item from inventory..and if so..can other races other then Erudites use it??. Though doesn't matter much ether way..REclaim Energy is kind of a wasted spell for SKs.
Since they fixed the guise, they've been pretty much constant in preventing you from using right click items from your inventory. If it's new, and has an effet, bank on the fact that you have to equip it to use it.
I agree with you on the effect part, though. Unless you have a lackey to con your pet for you, you really have no reason to unsummon it. =P And besides, I just use /pet get lost, myself...
"Ridossan" appears in both this item and the item you get from doing Royal Guard Sheltuin's "cold iron" quest. Perhaps there is another step to that quest. That would make it on par with the Paladin's Midnight Seamail armor. (both quests start with leggings as rewards)
