I understand the concern as I am a merchant as well but this armor is not as good as fine plate. Although someone like clerics and bards might take the couple less ac since they don't have to take constant hits. Most warriors and paladins etc want as high ac as possible. And smaller races can't handle the weight. This is basically black bronze with resists added. Also it does drop off the higher mobs like the king not the 15 and lower levels like protectors and such that people are talking about. Which is about same time bronze drops off in other dungeons in the 20's. Honestly i don't think this will hurt fine plate sales, now granted the influx of cheap, better than fine plate in velious will.

The only blithering fool is the one comparing it to fine steel.Fine steel is lighter, better AC and more customizable as far as looks go.Further more it is not a drop so no camping for hours just for a random piece.
How you can assume that lower quality armor is going to upset higher quality armor economy is beyond me..
In fact high level character can get this iron stuff, its just painfully to camp. I stayed 4 hours to kill King which i killed 3 times approx. Once he only had one beer (lol, so much booze in those Warrens, i would call the kobolds the drunken Ones). King dropped gauntlet and helm. True its not as good as FS, but the pale grey look is unique, so you might try to farm a complete set just for a fine look if you want that waste of time. It would be really better to raid the throne room with a full high teens group. Great xps and great training camp for learning how to work together in Dungeon. Mez, snare tactics are a must here as the pathing is incredibly BAD.
I think its great that there is finnaly some low lvl plate armour on odus, for the Paladins, Shadowknights and clerics. Otherwise, you would have to leave Odus. This makes it much easier for those classes to stick around odus until mid 20s.
