was playing around with a shaman and Red Cockatrice Feathers can be used with Alchemy tradeskills. One recipe was for Black Extract (Red Cockatrice, 36 trvial): 1 Water Flask, 1 Empty Vial, 1 Red Cockatrice Feather.

I have had these drop off of just about every type of Cockatrice in The Overthere and The Dreadlands.

Red cockatrice feathers are used to make black dye for fine plate.

I just heard this is used to make Dye for armor. Could be just a rumor but soon i'll try this on my rogue. Combine this + empty vial + flask of water in mortar and pestle. I encourage anyone else to try this shaman or rogue as i am not sure when i will get the chance to test it.

OK I did finally test this theory and i can confirm this feather is used to make dye! Combine one feather, an empty vial and a flask of water in a rogues mortar and pestle or a shaman's medicine bag and you get.....BLACK extract! /boggle. Yes folks, i got black extract. Combine the extract in a medium clay jar with a certain number of resins (i used one) and you get a dye. Hope this helps anyone who was curious =)

I've killed hundreds of these chickens and only got one of these so i think it must be for something. if anyone figures out what its for please post it.
I agree that these are used for something, someone in EC on Vazaelle was buying these for 2pp. I didn't have any to sell but asked what they were used for. I never got a response. So if anyone knows, please post it here. Thanks
