Still drops from an Agent of Hate in T2 on Vulak.
# May 04 2011 at 11:52 AM Rating: Default
I think he means an agent of Innoruuk. The agent of hate does not spawn on our servers at this time.
Too bad...
# Dec 05 2003 at 3:12 PM Rating: Decent
We had to let this rot last night because we had no rangers available to loot it. It dropped from a Sinister Lich on the Cazic Thule server. It was such a weak mob that nobody believed that a piece like that was actually on it. We were pulling to the courtyard area right behind the piano room. It's a nice piece and I always hate it when something like that has to go to waste when there are toons out there that really need it. Oh well...

Just a question, what does it look like on Luclin models?
Plate, Chain?

Anyone know?

The tunic looks like green colored chain armor. The helm looks brownish-tan. Haven't yet seen what the rest looks like. Drops off an Agent of Innoruuk.
Halfling useable?

Yep yep yep, got one yesterday, 4 races :)
# Apr 09 2002 at 8:06 AM Rating: Decent
Couldnt believe it :)
I was only ranger on my third hateraid, and we got to lvl 2 in less than 3 hours. After eagerly checking track for more agents, i saw only 4 left.
Bang, 1 more dead, and the main grp checks it.
seconds pass... then the looter shouts out "whos the lucky assed ranger here? you just got an uber BP"

Guess if im still wearing that same smile ;D

<<edit for typo>>

so everyone who knows much about hate and is a ranger knows this stuff drops on the 2nd floor. I havent been to hate much and I'm lookin for better info from someone whose been to hate a lot.

as for mobs ive heard:

agents of innoruuk
disciplines of innoruk

is it just these 2 or are there others? or is it random off most mobs on 2nd floor? how rare is untamed armor in general? how rare is the bp specifically?
RE: mobs/rarity?
# Mar 26 2002 at 1:57 AM Rating: Decent
Can't say I've been to Hate "a lot," but I think I know my stuff. This appears to drop only off of "an Agent of Innoruuk." This, and every other piece of Untamed. It is extremely rare (a whole two pieces dropped during one raid I was on; none during many raids; possibly three or four pieces total in all my Hate raids).

Ok, CoE is not worth a right click on a bp :( I mean tolan's effect is so much better than this. It should be CoP, not that I would mind this BP AT ALL, but seriously, call of earth costs me...1/8 of a bub of mana MAYBE at 56, and I always have c2 on, so it goes right back up. CoE is not a good effect for this breast plate, but the rest of it rocks ;)

As a Ranger, I got no problem with CoE being the clicker for this BP. Tolan's BP is awesome, but in an average group, which will you use more, a right click self port, or right click buff? In a full group, I am casting CoE on all members, and keeping it up at all times. At 50 mana per cast, this is not a large absolute amount of mana (300), but my Wisdom, and the Wisdom of many rangers is not as high as it could be, so our mana pools are much smaller. I cannot afford to make the sacrifices in AC and stats that a pure caster can, for the sake increased Mana pool, and 300 adds up.

Actually, if you wanted to make Rangers weep with joy, this BP would have Strength of Nature as its clicker (750 mana to cast on a full group), but CoE is actually an ok choice for this.

No, CoE doesn't cost much mana, and it isn't a very high level effect. BUT, it does free up a spell slot, and it means you don't have to sit down and switch a spell out everytime someone in your group loses it, or someone asks for it. It may not be the best spell, but it's still one of the most often cast Ranger buffs.

Of course, this BP could have Skin Like Wood on it and it would still be awesome.

I know it's kind of cruddy to take up space just /jawdrop 'ing at items in here, but I simply cannot resist. What a beautiful breastplate this is, truly. Makes Call of Earth readily available. Amazing AC, great stats. Geez. What a really nice piece of armor. 'Nuff said. Thanks for tolerance.

Personally, I think this is a great BP. Awsome stats, plus decent ac. When comparing it to Warrior, it may be slightly worse, but that is because Ranger's rely on other abilities. For example, Crafted is way better than Ivy, so I think ranger's have really gotten the good end of this deal. BTW, I saw one decay on TZ cause it was an only dark raid. Sucks to be a TZ ranger. *sigh*

Looks like no other armor graphic I've seen thus far. Some intricate patterns at the neckline. I nearly laughed myself to death when the ranger equipped it though since it's exactly the same color as the lights at street crossings. You know the one I mean, has a red little man for don't walk and a green one for walk. He looked like the green one in it =)

Parnell is a lying Piece of worthless crap ":) i know people in all the uber guilds on veeshan <FoH> Mithan <Afterlife> Lanys,<Conquest> among some others entire guild raids of these uber guilds is required to get ONE person his Kael Thurg Skyshrine Armors ever seen how many clerics have Ether Mist armor like every 5th cleric i see has a full set Planes are EASY compared to some of the places in Velious and since as far as i know <dont quote me> there is a 32k hp limit on mobs in old game zones there are Named mobs out in velious with more hp then Nagafen <IE shardwurm brood mother and maybe shardtooth dunno on him takes for nearly ever to kill him> I see naggy or Vox drop in about 2-5 minutes at most 4 groups took out broodmother in about 8 minutes one being a Mage with epic who handed pet wurmslayer <FEAR this pet> since any high enough mage can nearly solo the Wurm quest in about 2-3 hours tops with mayube a cleric to heal pet and group so to say Planes are worthless and that ToV is so easy i would love to see you at a fan faire so i can have EVERYONE laf at your newbie talking crap **** :) if your gonna post something at least have the brains to be educated more then billybob from Darkest Kentucky <farmlands>

What i was saying on the greaves post has nothing to do with anything but specifically ranger greaves. The upper level of hate is NOT significantly easier than temple of veeshan, and chain drops like candy, and all the while you're getting stuff for every class, not just rangers, paladins, and druids. Also, if you consider the pathing problems up top of hate and how deep agents are, it really makes no sense to go to hate solely for this armor, which is the only thing i was saying. There's tons better reasons to go to hate. As for clerics, warriors, sks, paladins, bards, etc not having kael or dragon faction armor... thats because plate is rare as fook in ToV. Anyhow, i wasn't talking about anything but RANGERS. This new patch tonight might fix the plate problem too. Also, i don't post anon, let alone flame anon, grow some nuts. You'll find me on e-marr if you wanna come talk smack. Keep it off the boards, no one cares. I also invite ANY ranger to come to emarr to ask me about anything ranger related, i enjoy helping.

hmm. i admit im no expert but ive been to hate and tov and the typical mobs in hate seemed a lot easier to me. seems like 1 or maybe 2 well fitted groups of 55+ could handle 2nd floor of hate with good pulling and good CC.

the main inconvieiance of hate seems to be porting up and breaking in. You can't just zone in like you can in tov or PoG and you can end up pretty screwed with a total wipeout on entry and need a rescue. otherwise I think ppl might actually try and farm this stuff.

After you've been on 15 kael raids and not seen a single chain tunic drop you start thinking about alternatives... heh.

I wish I knew how rare it was. I havent been to hate enough to know. anyone know?

I've been in a group of 5 peeps from 38-43 and taken down Shardtooth pretty easy. I remember conning him blue a couple of levels ago. Lots of HP but we fear kited him and he was an easy kill in the end. Maybe 10khp tops? 3 meleers, a mage pet, a mage nuking and a cleric providing the fear. Took about 2 minutes and about 5 refreshes on the fear.

You won't see me even BLINKING wrong to the broodmother until I'm in my 50's though (if I do it at all!). There's some nice-ish drops to be had from her but there's better elsewhere at that level. I'd personally be inclined to leave the Broodmother up for people questing for Kromrif Military Legs. ***** the twinka-teens who are just out for the "ph4tt35t 13wt" and will take down other people's commonly needed quest mobs just because they can.

It's a nice BP though and I look forward to sporting one myself. Those stat cranks will come in handy when I'm questing for the Skyshrine stuff. It's got almost double the AC of the Ivy Tunic and those stat cranks really are insane!

I know there's better armor than this in the game but consider the effort to which you must go to get that stuff this is a darn nice drop.

Why would you even make this fine BP a temporary one till you get Skyshrine Armor the ac is very comprable and the stats on this are better as far as I'm concerned, I say ***** Skyshrine go to hate, I know this is a rare drop and am not saying that it will be as easy to get as ss but maybe you can get a better bp dropped of one of the dragons but no point to faction work if you get this, and if you still plan on doing skyshrine quest let another ranger that isn't going to have this, in taking this then doing quest just sounds a little loot hungry.

This may have changed since these posts were made, but currently the Broodmother drops nothing interesting. She's not worth taking down, and all you'll end up doing is pissing off a guild trying to use her for a quest ;-)

As u were saying some ppl need to stut up, YOU included. to prove to every one how dumb u realy are that whole wurm slayer bit, ahhh how to say this best... was a load of ****. have u ever seen an epic pet fight??? its dmg to dly is much better than with a wurmy in hand so basicaly givein it would just be a waist of time sence it would just default to its own melee stats. and as for the few shreds of facts that were true, u prob just sent to a uber web site and read about there raids. so basicaly i was gettin to this. SHUT UP, and go play and actualy try to fight in some of these places.... oh wait ur lvl 15 prob would not get to go sorry

RE: this aint better than war bp
# Jun 04 2001 at 12:58 PM Rating: Good
It's not meant to be. Warriors and Rangers are about as different as apples and oranges. Yes, they both make great melee classes, but where a Ranger excels in over a Warrior is the spellcasting ability. Rangers, by nature, are also more nimble than a warrior in many classic depictions thereof. Personally, if I played a Ranger, I'd rather have this one over anything else. :)

umm... Legionnaire is the new WAR planar armour, right?? <I've got no idea... or is it the equiv. of TV??>

This is our new planar armor.... Just had a look... the RNG BP actually has higher AC than the WAR BP ?!?! <assuming I'm right about Lego being the new WAR armour>

AND a Call of Earth effect... like 25 more AC points... yummm

RE: ....
# May 27 2001 at 10:59 PM Rating: Decent
You don't seem to understand the armour setups, heh. Legionaire is the Iksar Warrior PoH equivalent to Indicolite. The Untamed Armor is the Ranger equivalent to the PoG armor of other classes, since they do not have a dropped armor in PoG; this also goes for the Righteous and Harmony armors that were added to PoH for Paladins and Druids. That is why this new armor is better then the Warrior armor drops in Hate, they're on a much higher par.
Lego is for iksar
# Apr 07 2001 at 1:57 PM Rating: Default
the lego armor is for iksar warriors, and they have naturally higher ac, so it evens out the ac
