Well, it seems that since the changes in the planes took place Innoruuk and other mobs now drop items wearable by a certain race, and not by a certain class. Get used to it. There are items that just your race will be able to use.
yea think it has to do with the fact that woodelves won't be going to say the plane of growth to hunt...I mean unless they want to be KOS in they're home city...

actually, i went to PoG and the only faction you lose is with the druids/rangers and the high elf clerics and paladins, so most of kelethin is safe for anyone who goes to PoG
Not only THAT, but by doing the Freeport Muffin quest a few dozen times, you can repair all the faction lost... except with the people IN the PoG.
