I ran into RM from Feerrot, saw this lizard, rooted him, dotted him with 3 different dots, waited 20 seconds, looted the staff and ran off to the giants... And I was using a lvl 54 druid.
Bought 500 sell 10k?

What can i say just happen to be running back into HG alley from a sale run and this lizard pops up on my guildies track...was easy work for me being a lvl 45 warrior. Just kept hitting him with my slam and he couldn't cast his dot. Got lucky on this baby and I am looking to sell it on Solusek Ro server. Gimme a tell if you got the cash!
was just resting

Well i went to go hunt some Hill Giants one night, i barely zoned into Rathe from Feerot, walked down the straight path a little like i always do to head to the HG area. I sat down to med for a bit, got some snacks, wasn't really paying attention, then this lizard starts hitting me. Thought it was just some lizardman trying to pick on me because i was sitting down, then i noticed it was alot taller and had a stick with a skull on the end. He poisoned me and i noticed he was hasted really well, by this time i knew i had a tough fight on my hands. I'm a 50 paladin and solo'd him down using lay hands. The problem was i was ready to fight HG's, not casters so i didn't have any stuns up and i didn't have my 1hs and shield ready to interupt his healing spells. I had to zone from his pet after i killed him with only 80hp and poisoned. Atleast i lived and got his stick.

I'm a 49 Shammy and have the Mortificator Staff but need to gain more wis for the two slots the staff occupies. I would like to at least get an Ebon War Spear for my range slot and a Jade Chokidai Prod along with a Charred Guardian Shield.

My dilemma is that I don't want to sell my current staff to afford the other items I need.

Should I just save the money to get the items I covet and then sell my Mortificator Staff or is there another viable alternative route I should explore?

I can't afford to lose the wis and mana my staff affords until I get the items to replace it.

If anyone has any good ideas I'd be glad to hear them.

Everyone says 100pt mana drain, does that mean it just takes the mana from the target.. or does it actually give mana to the user?
Level of Proc?
# May 08 2001 at 3:07 AM Rating: Default
Ok from what i've read, the Staff drops from Mortificator Syythrak the named lizard, he's a level 39 Shaman and pretty nasty too.

One theory to get him to spawn is smack all the lizards on the Bandit hill between gypsies and rathetear zone and sit back and wait.

I was hunting that hill for giant skeletons and cyclops once with my 29 cleric and the morti walked past, did a U-turn and started casting hell out of our group. The dots didn't hurt a lot, it wasn't until his unsowed pet turned up on the scene and he started casting DDs when we got fried. Was not a pretty sight.

Anyway i plan to get this staff for my shaman newbie, what level does this staff proc at, any ideas?

Good for dueling Casters
# Apr 28 2001 at 10:26 PM Rating: Default
This is a good weapon for dueling caster types or any mana users. Drains there mana and from my test of it in a duel, if I remember right it was about 100pts of mana. I could be wrong but in any case pretty funny to watch someone's reaction when dueling and when they notice there mana draining with out them casting. Tee-Hee. :) That is if you can get it to proc good.

I am so sick and tired of hearing people talk about stuff like they know everything.. And telling big stories that are nothing more than rambling lies.!! For all who wants to know what Mana Sink is please look at the wizards line of spells lvl 57-or-58 spell it is not a stinkin mana drain spell..Damn people save the stories for the camp fire.

Kreeze 35 shaman Morrell-Thule.

RE: Bard???

Left over from the days that bards were thought to be able to use caster weapons. They must have plugged in the wrong template. Come to think about it, what bard uses a 2HB? Their 2HB skill is capped at 1 (no improvement possible)!
#Anonymous, Posted: Mar 11 2001 at 4:12 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Wait a min, barb troll and ogre bard?

When the game was in Beta every race could play any class. This is still left over from the days of yore.
#Anonymous, Posted: Jun 08 2001 at 1:06 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) why did they say bard when those races arnt bards?
