you need a artic wyven hide, cod oil, a sketch and a few velium studs, you need brewing and blacksmithing skill if you want to make this yourself.

For those that didn't know, and restatin' the obvious... trivial appears to be around 250. OUCH. 7k to get to 250 is gettin' off light, I think.

(Dunno that it's even possible, given the cost of the coldain tempers, and the cost of any pelts bought instead of hunted for)

You will also require a very high tailoring skill to be able to combine all the pieces at the end.
recipe?

anyone have any idea as to what all goes into making this, and where the stuff is? and does anyone know if the graphic is the dumb bear head? i am currently working on the northman imbued ringmail armor, but this has just a couple more wis points in it. any help would be appreciated

has half doesn't know what he/she is talking about: the components for this item will never
"roll out" because they are rare components, as well as being expensive and only obtainable
by lvl 50+ PCs. More importantly, the tailoring on all the Velious armor items requires an
extremely high skill level in tailoring--one that is insanely hard to get right now, because
there are no intermediate step to jump from roughly skill 130 (where you trivial on crystalline
silk) to the lvl 200+ required for these items. There are never going to be very many tailors
who get to that level, and those that do should be able to make a great deal of money
creating things like this cap, which is without a doubt the best WIS headpiece for shaman
in the game (though of course high-level PCs are often more interested in getting mana items
rather than WIS items).

If you are on Aayonae Ro I will attempt a combine for you. I will not charge and most tailors wont. However realize that it will cost most of us none less than 7kpp to get our tailoring skills up to make this stuff trivial.

Within 1 week I'll be trivial on crystaline silk which means any and all Velios tailoring wont be trivial to me for at least another 71 points of skill.

end result. I will not be charging to make this for a long time, however if you collect the items required and send me a tell I will click combine and salute you if you get a piece.

Best wishes,

Not bad

Not a bad helm, but I think totemic has the same wis
has half...
# Mar 19 2001 at 1:22 AM Rating: Default
Totemic has 5 wis...
this is made by talioring.. so the price will depend on how hard the components are to find...
The price will be high at first.. until these components start rolling out.. then they will be like all other taloired stuff.. only made when people ask for it..
RE: Not bad
# Mar 18 2001 at 11:45 AM Rating: Default
Yeah but Totemic is gonna be more expensive then this I gauruntee it.

let the tancks tank let the casters cast and all will be good with the world

I know these are old posts, but I couldn't help but add to them. Don't forget, Iksar cannot wear totemic. Mine currently has a Jarsath helm, and I'd sure as heck drop a little ac, for these other stats. A few of the better pieces of the Wyvern hide, and you can toss that Charred guardian shield, get a clay guardian, and come out ahead on AC and wis.

This is off-topic but I couldn't resist replying...I agree that the tanks should tank and the casters should cast...but shamans are not pure casters. At level 41 hunting kobolds in Sol B, I was often my group's puller and primary tank and we still had continuous pulling. At level 51, I sometimes tank the seafuries and again we have continuous pulling (without a cleric even). Of course I wouldn't try to tank just any mob, and I'm not quite as effective as a tank class, but I get the job done well enough so that we can still have fun hunting at our favorite spots.

An example in more common hunting situations: when the shaman slows the mobs. Shamans have a powerful slow with a very powerful agro, and in order for it to be as effective as possible it has to be used asap when a mob is pulled, and frequently results in the shaman taking some hits. On raids with a lot of powerful mobs and fast pulls, I frequently have less hit points than I do mana. Enchanter hit points drop like a stone when they're getting whomped on, so I slow the mob and can take the hits till it's mezzed. Because of my efforts everyone else is able to handle the mobs that much more effectively and the precious chanter is kept alive.

My point is that you can't tell anyone how to play their class unless they're hurting your group, most of all a class as versatile as a shaman. One shaman may use every drop of mana to the fullest and rarely take a scratch while another may be just as helpful for the group because they know when it's best to take some hits.

So let the tanks tank and the casters cast and the shamans smooth the way for both, and all will be well with the world.

LOL no not really being a 43 shaman I'd much rather have 10wis as opposed to 5wis, this will be quite a high priced item. The totemic helm i've seen go for 5k until the runed circlet started gettin out and about..since then i've seen it down to 2k 1.5k and even lower.
