I don't think they are part of any quest. Just a nice item considering how easy they are to get.

This goes for more then 65pp, at least on every server I have played on. I sell them easily for 100pp and got lucky one day managing to sell one for 250pp

I usualy price them for 150, the problem is they are lore. No real point in buying them, they are a common drop off a low mob. But should you find one, don't sell it for less then 100pp. They are a great item to give to an alt or friend for twinking also. Anywho, just though I would tell ya

Sorry Kyiri, I may not have thought about a few things, but how can you get 3 cloaks when they are lore? And how did you give your shaman the no drop bowl?? I don't see how that would work either.

As she says in her message:

Quote:
The shawls are currently on my characters who do not need them

In other words, she brought in her other characters and had them loot the shawls.

Same way. She obviously brought in her Shaman and had the Shaman loot the bowl.

(And you really should use reply to follow up to an existing message instead of posting a new message about it.)
Hmmm

The secret to Krode...

I levelled in the Warrens. Most of the things, when Warrens first came out, were no exp at all.. so I quietly levelled and awaited the day that I could pull rares without adds. That's right... starting at L 34 for me, I can walk right in and say hello to those nasty mischevious batlings!

No pun intended, they don't bat an eyelash. Not even when I pull Krode. I pulled Krode for several groups :) He's really quite a cute, onery little thing. This evening, he spawned 4 times, dropped the shawl once, nothing, shawl + bowl, and shawl again. The bowl is now on my happy shaman, who loves it for the looks.. as it shows up as a bowl. Shaman only. (She's a baker.. it's kind of neat for RP effect.) Yes, it would have rotted otherwise, as it is no drop. The shawls are currently on my characters who do not need them, as no one in the groups could use them. :) They gave them to me, since I happily pulled rares all across the zone for folks.

You know what I'm gonna do with them? I am going to find some young druids who need these :) Maybe shamans. Maybe clerics. Whomever needs it most that I find. The whole spirit behind the warrens is not phat lewtz or mega cash. It's helping out each other, playing nice, and for once.. lower levels not crying out in pain because the items they could really use are being pharmed by some L 50 - 60 person who has nothing better to do with their time than pharm for fun and some spare cash to buy trinkets for their twinkets.

Just a polite reminder to not think that your levels means you can should own zones. The trivial loot code was put in effect for a reason.. and the items' stats and rarity were carefully thought out =) They are meant for people who don't have eBayed L 60ies in their back pockets. For those who enjoy earning their loot! =)

With a mid-level character, I'm starting to deal with the question of being at a lower level camp looking for an item, now from he side of being the high-level person rather than from the side of being the low level person trying to get a group at the camp.

Is it earning one's loot to keep coming back to a camp until you get an item you need, even if you're too high for the camp by the time you get it? My necro is 50 now, and still has no int on his arms, so I'm thinking of checking the ancient croc from time to time to see if I can ever find it uncamped now that people are in Luclin.

If I wanted to farm cash, I'd farm it as cash and vendor junk. If I camp a low item, it's because I want the item, either for myself or someone else. If I sell a low item, it's because I'm done with it, not because I spent hours camping a low item to sell for 200 pp when I could have gathered 200 pp off hill giants in half the time.

The money grubbers I object to are the ones who claim need-before-greed on the same item eight times in a row, with their other toon whisking it off to ecomm or faymart.

even if for quest

is it wearable?...It's not a bad newbie item...though it looks like the level to obtain is 15, which by 15 you should have better, but still...when it say level to obtain, and it's this low, you can do solo, so a full group of 8 or 9's could prob get this, and then...not so bad..

If you're a pally, you should know how expensive spells are, so by level 15, most druids probably haven't found the $$$ to buy something better than this. I'm lvl 24 and I'm still in leather because I devote my money to spells and saving for +6 wis rings, necklaces, etc. that can ONLY be gotten through trade skills, rather than spending it on shoulders. Therefore, I don't think many others will "have better", and this is an excellent kill for those of us who don't "have better" :)

you're on crack if you think you can get this at 14. you're really on crack if you think you can group around 8 or 9 to get it. Krode is blue to me at 24. when you pull him you get about 6 other 20ish level batlings on you... a monk friend and i have a good feign death thing going on though. i got this item the first time we killed him.

Those Batlings are likely to drop off after you get a couple more levels-- Kegero (my Barbarian Warrior partner and RL fiancee) and I (Human Monk) are both at 27, and we can pull Krode out with one or no batlings usually. Then beat the tar out of him. Even the batlings aren't THAT bad on their own offense. What REALLY hurts is those ^%^&$ damage shields those little midgets use. Dealing with those shields is the one time I envy people who use high damage, high delay weapons-- fewer swings so fewer times getting burned by the shields. Oy.

A quest maybe?

when you try to sell the shawl merchants wont offer anything for it even though its not no drop. And when ientified I think it calls it Krodems shawl or something different from its name. It might be for some quest?
