anyone who thinks that its unfair that iksars can wear alot of velious armor needs to go attack the nearest nexus scion, the ac bonus is fixed at 50ac at 60, 50ac is almost nothing at 60, it doesn't even begin to make up for the unablility to wear plate armor, besides the fact that iksar mellees are rarely played, not to mention harder to lv and get good armor for, i think its just plain bs for anyone to complain about high end armor, much less our own planar gear.

4th raid... finally saw a bunch of nightmares... no Greenmist dropped... oh well... there's always next time =)

/ooc I find it almost impossible to convince anyone to pull Nightmares on your normal plane raid, as they're ALL the way in the top north corner, usually out of the way of the good stuff that takes a few hours to get to in the first place.

I'm going to be checking out uber raids where the zone is clear as it is usually my only chance to even see the Nightmares being pulled.

BTW, I've been to a few fear raids, so I've already had the experience... after being in fear for 10 hours, dead for 50% of that time, I find the experience a bit less than satisfying. I mean, how exciting can larger versions of old mobs really be? So please don't flame me for not trying to get Greenmist armor the classic way.

now that im a 53 Iksar SK... only 2 raids away from my greenmist sword and about to try for some greenmist armor soon... i can tell you that this has been the most fun class/race of all. Ive played all other classes and I am just happy as can be. The SK is not only a great class, but the Iksar SKs have a nice history to them, making them one of the most involved races to play.

Its not an easy road, but then again, nothing worth having ever is. Just ask any 50ish druid who is bored and groupless ;)

Yes, there are very few Iksar Sk's out there....
Mostly because when they started their character, they saw "This class/race/deity combo is: HIGH DIFFICULTY" and ran away screaming like a little girl to create a Human Druid.
Iksar Sk's do get great bonuses, no matter what anyone says, the extra AC, and the Regen do help... but we get one of the worst exp penalties and faction is horrible...
Of course we can ignore the plate limitation once we've reached this level... give us a break...

I was in Thurg. yesterday, and a level 52 Iksar SK came by the bank. We looked each other up and down, and he was surprised to see a level 51 in town. We inspected each other, and I found he had a full Greenmist armor set except for the mask. He said it was pretty easy since when he goes on Fear raids, he's the only Iksar SK there. I was quite envious, since I have full Dreadscale sans mask as well.

The funny thing is that we looked nearly identical except for his shield. The Greenmist is slightly lighter than DS, but otherwise the same. I should have asked him for his AC/HP and other stats but I didn't want to hold him up.

I don't see why anyone should complain we are getting armors like these for all classes. Iksars put up with the worst newbie lvls. Hello!? when kunark released didn't anyone ever look it says moderate to high difficulty. Do you know that we have major set backs not able to wear plate??? Do you know our ac bonus doesn't make up for it??? Are you all aware that we are kos to just about anywhere? Even dark elves can atleast hunt in FP. Try doing that with an iksar as a newbie... no infact try hunting in other dark lands lol straight to bind point for you. I respect dark elves but even they don't have such a burden on them. regen, and a 50 ac bonus is nothing when you're in full banded you know and everyone else has plate. We can't even work on one of the easiest factions neriak faction without 200pp on red wine for starters for a newbie that's our life savings times 10. Consider this in short we are: KOS, can't wear plate or something equal to what you all have until 46 levels and for most of us about 50 levels later!!! We damn straight deserve a reward yeah a 50 ac bonus and a regen don't forget most of our armors even these have a minus 1-2 ac sure that's not even noticable but that means our 50 ac bonus is just 40 maybe 30 total. If anyone else would like to argue. I challenge you to play an iksar with no twinkage. And to us iksars the higher ones congrats on these you guys all deserved it playing one of the hardest race and to younger iksars hang on there now you all have something to look forward. I've done no accurate testing on exact numbers blah blah estimations so don't go crazy if the ac bonus is something like 49... sorry for the long message though half of you wouldn't even read it I had to post it. Considering every iksar armor post I see has people whining. To those that whine try an iksar ( and please don't slap on some ry'gorr, invis potions and sow potions and post here i got 50 in a month iksars are easy play it the way it was meant to be and you'll see why we deserve it).

When I walk around, people always think I am either a Shaman or a Warrior...don't know why there are VERY few Iksar SKs out there, but when going to the Plane of Fear, its great to be in such exclusive company since it means all that Greenmist Armour that drops is going to me alone. :)

WTF man, you jealous? Iksar get screwed by not being able to wear plate. So during early lvls you either have to deal with wearing Banded or bein able to twink with some of the higher end stuff while any other race gets many, many lower priced options. It is harder to play an Iksar to max lvls so I think they reward them by giving them something a little bit better since they had to work harder to get there. No, I don't play an Iksar. No, none of my friends play them either. I play a Dwarf Warrior and an Ogre SK. I am just impressed that Verant would make something damn cool for one race knowing whiners like you are going to sit and cry and flame and cry and flame and cry...etc...etc...........
