Spell: Summon Aenda's Trinkets, shows in today's (Dec 9th, 2008) patch message as having its research componants slightly altered (along with about 20 other different spells ).

I still don't, nor have I ever, seen any information on this site or eq.taders about ANY recipe information for the spell.

Any information would be appreciated if its out there.

Actually Realgrumpy, you're wrong. I lost a roll on this spell not to long ago and it dropped off a named in Direwinds. In fact it was the carrionmancer camp. And amazingly enough it dropped off a named.

*tsk tsk* You shouldn't believe everything you read from the Developers.
why bother

only reason i'll get this spell is because i have a compulsive need to have every spell. otherwise i'd just never bother.

Why bother? Because the jewlery can add a few hundred more HP a few dozen more stats to your pet. Because the stuff in the bag is better than a lot of the Bazaar gear that's out there. Because sometimes it's handy to have a focus effect available for a couple castings of something if you don't already have it. Because someone may ask you for them someday. And, most importantly... Just because.

Edited for spelling. Stupid fingers not doing what I tell them to.

Can someone verify for sure that pets gain the benefit of the hp/ac on the jewelry if you give it to them? Specifically, the Enchanter pets?

I'm not totally 100% sure on it, but just to be on the safe side, I always give a full set of Aenda's to every pet I summon, to complement the ac/hp provided by the Eidolon armor. Would be nice if I knew for a fact that the jewelry was providing them with a positive benefit.

(I'm not a Mage, but have several friends who have all the TSS pet armor/weapon and Foci item spells, and I'm constantly bugging them to give me a full set for my pets.)

I know for a fact that mage pets benefit from +HP items. I am certain the same will hold true for enchanters as well.
What pets do not benefit from is focus effects.
Pets will equip armor with the highest armor class regardless of what it is using. If you had an item that was 170HP's and 25 armor class, and you give your pet an item with 26 armor class with zero HP's, it will destroy the 25/170 item to equip the 26AC item.
Pets also equip attunable items, so if you have a trash common attunable item from a XP group that drops all the time and rots cause everyone has one, and it has more AC then what your pet is using, it will use it.

Course chanter summoned pets are teh joke. Have a mage summon you some gear, and charm yourself a pet if you want teh massive DPS. Your DoDh charm will work wonders on a Uqua raid target. That pet already has massive DPS as it is, improve it a little by giving it mage summoned weapons.

In response to your rhetorical question:

Yes......yes I have.....I have killed him one million times.

More importantly, the Developers at SOE have published on their forums that named mobs in TSS will not drop spells.

This does NOT drop off of Sulfurog. This drops off caster oozes - only "A Black Ooze".
