about 30 giants to get it to drop for me.

Finally, after weeks and over 300 kills I logged in, killed one giant and got the drop... I didn't know what to do with myself after that ordeal!

I think I've killed around 200 of these guys and no drop... This piece can't be worth this.

Took about 50 or so kills solo 83 ranger with cleric merc.
got named to pop whilst there too, dropped a 1500 trib point item.

98 kills and no drops, gave up and went for the ground spawns I didn't have...

This reminds me altogether too much of Stormfeather. At least here, you have something to do, but it is mindnumbingly boring. I understand the point of rare drops, but 100 kills and not one single drop? That's ridiculous. Status: Ultra-rare.

I and my boxed shaman needed 3 hours to get it to drop. Camp was the tunnel entrance, as usual. Other drops showing in the 3 hours were: 1 diamond, 1 ancient scroll, 1 giant blood, 1 giant parts, and 3 pieces for the quest armor. All in all the big guys are pretty poor droppers.
this item is odd~ its there when you dont want it 3 and 4X a clering

Dropped off of "A Hill Giant" for me today.
Needs to be changed to uncommon. 120 hours and no scroll yet.
Edit: And the very next giant I killed dropped this damn thing heh. GL camping it, you need some patience and friends to keep you company.

i hate this item ...
ive camped it for 100hrs and still no drop ... ive started taking in peoples low level bots to get em some XP =P.
i hope it drops soon ... im really gettin sick and tired of this drop =(.

It does drop!!!
It took about 200 burly hill giant kills but I finally got it.
I seen 1 lvl 72 wizard spell drop while I killed them.
