Plane of Fear and Plane of Hate are part of the original release, not Planes of Power.
Necro all the way

This is clearly the best waist slot item for a Necromancer, no doubt about that.

10 int, 100 mana and above all 100hp! With Arch Lich I can turn those hp's in even more mana and those 100hp add up to Lifeburn when you let that one loose...

I woud kill for this girdle.

#REDACTED, Posted: Mar 22 2003 at 8:11 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) As I necro i would rather aim for belt of swarf slaying cuz its better stats and reggen.
RE: Necro all the way

I disagree. Unless you are going to be chain casting pets this is not the best for a necro. No *the* best would be a Blood Cord or Dwarf-slaying belt. Course those belts are reserved for those playing in the top percentages. I know I would wreck my dragon and dorf faction to get a Belt of Dwarf-Slaying for my necro.

You must be joking....

By far the best belt in the game for a Necro is the Bone Clasped Girdle : +4 AC +7 Str +7 Sta +7 Dex +75 HP +75 Mana effect is Extended Affliction 3.
I would give up 25 Hp and 25 mana any day of the week for extended damage on EVERY DOT ! This includes lifetapping DOTs.

#REDACTED, Posted: Mar 13 2003 at 4:21 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Indeed cause no necro is wanna load up some post 60 dots cause we all know they just suck. 100 hp 100 mana is all ya want post 60 anyways on any item if yer a hybrid/caster or if just a melee 100 hp.
RE: Necro all the way

should check the days before you flame someone. his post was before PoP and hence there was no "post-60" people.

Personally, I'd take Girdle of Magnificence from Lcea or the Belt of Dwarf Slaying over this, for a Necromancer.

Probably the best waist item for alot of classes, but alas, SOE has decided to put a Necro/SK only Focus effect on it, so Necros it is...
RE: Necro all the way
# Jun 28 2002 at 3:02 PM Rating: Decent
But the effect is useless. It's not like necros chain cast pets. I don't really care if it is 15 sec cast time on EoT or 11,5

Basically useless to be honest :(

Actually, two years later and after they took the peridot cost off the high-level pets, if it wasn't for the high mana cost it might now actually be worth chain-casting them in some instances.

Either way, I'd still be quite pleased to get this belt for my Necro today...

I think Dik got flamed enough for his post... so I'll just let the good job the other below me did stand alone.

However congrats to anyone that has this. It is very nice. The 8 AC is nice too. This is an awesome item for anyone that wins it. I would prefer it to have some dex on it though.

Cleric Item

Personally, I think clerics should get first dibs on this. There is really no reason for a cleric to go to Fear except to help out. They get next to zero loot as it is. Fear is, in my experience, 6-7 hours of shear boredom for to gain. Anyone rolling against a cleric for this is depriving that cleric of the ONE chance he/she will see to get anything out of the raid.

Hey Baron Von Dork, tell that to the wizzie who you want to port you to Hate for your armor drops. Raiding is about a lot more than personal gain.
RE: Cleric Item
# Mar 29 2002 at 6:37 AM Rating: Default
My god Baron van Dik... i hate people that just go on raids cos of loot. I am personnaly an enchanter and usually i get even less than everyone else and sometimes i have the privelidge of actually getting some lot. maybe after 20 or so hours of raiding i will get 1 piece but that is quite a lot still. casters get much less loot than probably any other class with the exception of monks who have a hard time getting better armour. Only with the introduction of SoL did casters really get any chance other than SS armour (which cant go to anyone else anyway) of getting much loot. Think about that before ********* Im not saying that i get too little loot... i love raiding and i love my char's gear... but just try to think that maybe other people dont get everything on a raid like you seem to think they do.
Like Ishtarra said above,
". Every caster needs HP and manna...plain and simple. I support clerics and melee in the Ice House in Kael where I have no chance of getting armour drops. Just part of being a team player."
there you have it

It would be a travesty for this item to be given to a cleric without other casters being allowed to roll on it. Every caster needs HP and manna...plain and simple. I support clerics and melee in the Ice House in Kael where I have no chance of getting armour drops. Just part of being a team player.

/agree...As a wizard I don't EXPECT to get anything defaulted to me over a cleric in Hate, so I don't see why I shouldn't get a chance at this is Fear

Let's not forget the Shaman who went to buff and slow. This would be an amazing item for my shaman, and there are only about 2 other items that drop here that she can even use.

There is also the 100-mana Halo of the Enlightened, cleric only, which Cazic drops.

It's items like this that keep my enchanter coming back to Fear =) The only thing that would make it sweeter would be +10 Cha ;) Too bad my guild keeps getting ks'd everytime we schedule a plane raid.

This certainly exists - I was lucky enough to win the roll on the kill of Dracoliche. Helps to have good poison resist (had almost 200 with bard singing). We had about six groups, wasn't that hard with this many peeps. I was one of 29 rolling on it though ;)

Was on a PoF raid and one of these dropped....everyone drooled and the lvl 60 cleric won the roll....everyone said 'grats' and said goddamit IRL.
#Anonymous, Posted: Jun 10 2001 at 7:03 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Why the heck would it was lvl to attain is 46 when it drops off a lvl 60 mob? Seriously, I dont a lvl 46 would even be able to group with anyone to obtain this. They have to hang way back until several groups destroyed it and allowed the lvl 46 to loot it.
RE: WHY?!
# Jul 04 2001 at 6:23 PM Rating: Decent
Yeah especially when that lvl 46 char was, say a Cleric who previously saved your ***** or Rez'd your **** after you got beat down. Or maybe it was a Tank who jumped infront of you when a mob was beating you down and took the damage him/herself (maybe even died because).

The idea behind a raid is TEAM WORK, hence all loot goes to everybody who can use it, regardless of lvl. Now if the character sits back and does nothing, you may have a point, but if they just happen to be lvl 46, your statement is rediculous.

Please stop being bitter that you lost the roll and a lvl 46 char got it. He went through the same troubles to get there as you did so chill butch.
RE: WHY?!
# Jun 21 2001 at 2:18 PM Rating: Good
the minimum level is listed as 46, because level 46 is the minimum level to get in the zone. as for "grouping to get this," a cold front will cross the styx before a single group kills draco.
#REDACTED, Posted: Jun 10 2001 at 6:59 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Does this girdle actually exist? If so where the heck can I find it, or what drops it? Not enough questions yet? Good, got one more, ready? That was it are you ready? haha

We had 2 drop on our last Fear raid, they come from Draco.

Odd. You would think, with a name like this, it would have a negative to CHA stat or something... oh well, it's not like i'm complaining, as I'd love to have this item :)
RE: grotesque?

I think the name fits... think of the grotesque arguements for looting rights this will cause!
#REDACTED, Posted: Mar 16 2001 at 2:24 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) I personally LOL'd big time...it's a tough room I guess, but "I" enjoyed the joke :)
