I have to say, this is a very nice BP. Only hope to attain 50 soon so I can get it =). It has nice all around stats, EVEN the ac. Demtri was wrong when he complained about the AC. You have 50 extra hp, and if you worry too much about ac, then go play a tank. Druids can't be compared to clerics, because we weren't meant to wear full plate in the first place. So stop complaining, and be thankful that they even *thought* of adding this.
50 HP, wow... Almost a full half a hit from mobs around my level. Read my posts. I don't want the AC of a cleric (They need it more), but I want to be able to survive a round of melee (Right now the mobs either miss or hit for max). Some of our better spells have insane aggro (Fixation of Ro), so I want a GOOD reason to replace my Treeweave with this.
It is a nice bp, only lose 5 ac over treeweave, you gain 80 mana 14 wis 9 to 3 resists, and FREE group regrowth. So if you dont like the agro on fixation, learn how to work with the other casters and melee taunters to keep the agro spread out, group ds as a first spell generally gives em some time to get ahead of me, since druids are soft and squishy and 5 ac isnt gonna change that.
Exactly, which is why I we need more AC. :P As for learning how to use Fixation, I KNOW how to use it, but the aggro is still insane. Casted it in Kedge on Phini when he was below 50 percent, and he still aggroed for about ten seconds (Full HP to 40 in about 6 seconds).
Druids need more AC. Either that, or give us a specialized skill so we're known for being halfasses at everything and still can't take hits.
I went to a Phini slaying and I quad dotted him: Natures Wrath (Epic) Winged Death Breath of Ro Drifting Death
So Naturally Phin got pissed. I have funn Elder Spiritist's Armor and I got pounded yes, But I survived tanking Phin with my good friend a cleric for essentially the entire fight. Now I would love the extra ac of the tree weave, but a druids first goal is mana, and the 14 wis and 80 mana is insanely nice. It means I can drop some of my other wis items and build up my resists and ac. Such as ac/resist rings and earrings.
This is a GREAT item, its probably the best out of all the quest armors.
It looks like the Green Kael Quest armor.
And the "an unadorned leather tunic" Comes from the Halls of Testing within Temple of Veeshan, where you DONT loose your faction with the dragons, but build it and gain spiffy armor.

How could you even mention this and Treeweave in the same sentence?!? You can get treeweave for about 2k this will cost you Multi-quest around 60+k if you can even find it available for MQ. If your getting hit and your a druid something is wrong. You need resists and mana more than AC. At high lvls things will cream you.
Don't expect to get this unless your in a good high lvl guild that regularly raids ToV. This is not something you just go out and get.
My thoughts exactly. I'm currently wearing treeweave, but would drop it in an instant for a tunic like this. It'd allow me to replace my smaller wis items for resist/ac/hp gear.
Verant is jacking druids big time in the AC department. I don't think we need the AC of clerics, but 20 AC vs the 44? 47? AC on the cleric BP is kinda lame. Buff it up about 8 points.
as a druid im not worried about AC...im worried about resists...i have had a big problem getting my resists up to a lvl of everyone else...AC is great..but..if you do things right..you won't need it, unless you one of those "tank druids"
AC _is_ important to a druid; if you're pulling your weight in a group, things WILL aggro on you once in a while, and you'd better be able to take a few hits before someone taunts it off you or crowd control takes care of the situation. For me AC is second only to wis/mana, with resists a close third (for general purpose use at least...resists get top priority on specific raids of course).
Come on folks, if you are of the level to obtain one of these BPs then you are going to get your *** kicked in by anything you fight. This comes from the fact that all the mobs you will be fighting are 55+ and Druid defense skill will be *** at that level due to the lack of melee. Be realistic here, AC for a Druid is a big fat waste. Resists, and Wis bonuses are great for them though since those are the only things they should need if they have the right tanks.
AC for a druid IS important if you don't plan to kite your whole damn career like most people choose to. Priest classes are supposed to take a few hits, but when druids' best armor has an AC of 22 (The new Hate item), that's damn pathetic in reference to the others.

Hear Hear! The BP is fine. I too, look for AC thrid to wis/mana being first and second priority. And I am not a battle druid either. I like to be a little protected should mobs turn on me if they decide they don't like my DoT's. I like to be able to survive a few hits rather than drop like a fly, coated with paint, after 3 hits.
OK Ac is crappy hmm 20ac on a druid which is pretty much considered a pure caster is pretty damn nice, yea if your a warrior ( tank or anything else) yea the ac is crappy , ok go and try to buy a druid Bp with higiher then 20ac , you cant, its pretty much a suped up vermic tunic with a VERY VERY nice right click effect. grats to anyone that gets this, resistances are nice, to , YEA the ac is crappy for tanks ... KICK *** for druids
Again, the only classes with less than 40 AC on their BPs are.. druids, enchanters, magicians, necros, and wizards...
Last I checked, druids were priests, not sissy finger wagglers.
Druids DO end up pulling sometimes (Fear and a few other places, I pull the Ry'Gorr fort in EW and Kithicor), so we need AC almost (Keyword: Almost) as much as the other classes.
With a few good tanks, who's to say a shammie would need uberAC too?
i pull a lot, in fact, i love pulling. Harmony + snare = great puller in the right circumstances...like hate. i don't think i've ever been on a hate raid where i didn't harmony all the normal crap MOBs around the boss MOBs so we could single pull them without having to clear the whole plane for 4 hours.
not only that, but i also play pull tagger, or my own version of enchanter; kiting MOBs around when we get adds and parking them away from the group until we're ready.
and yes, a druid who never gets beat on is a druid who is not giving his all. snare and debuffs are uber taunts, and you can't always depend on them to stick the first time (especially snare! ::prays for a lure based snare::). and when your raid is depending on you to snare MOBs so they don't run to their buddies, or for you to stick that debuff so the casters can nuke, you better brace yourself to get hammered by some pissed off MOBs.
Would like to point out something at the lvl you get this BP AC is good but not god. I usually go mana/resist/ac/wis (at my lvl anyway). I maxed out wis about 20 lvls ago so no biggie there. My problem is getting my resists up. Usually if I die it isnt from a mob smacking me its from a AoE from the mobs we are on or if it is beating on me I dont have a chance because the cleric and tanks are dead and I'm soon to follow. The mana you save from the effect is enough to have this bp not to mention if your lucky you can cast it way before you actually scribe it.

Thurgadin is basic Tizmak looking. Kael is dark green Tizmak looking. Skyshrine is almost definitely a different shade of Tizmak. I've heard silver and dark red so far.
