This item disappears fast if you do not have some other food in a slot before it in your inventory. Ask me how I know lol :/ Anyway ...on drop rate...pretty common I would say...got almost a stack of it in no time...was there exping in a group for a coupla hours. Of course, like so many things we need for uber combines in EQ...the drop rate is random and based on luck...so if you a lucky soul...they drop more :D
would rate this item more at uncommon..

I disagree. I solo the timber lizards with my druid, and can kill about 5-6 in one LoTD. Usually I get 1-3 meat per 30 minute grind. So that's between 1 in two, and 1 in 5.
