What races are best suited to quest for these item in KD? Should I have never been inside of KD so I'm not sure on how to go about getting the quest.

What does Spirit Caller's armor look like with Luclin models? I've heard people say it is a nasty pee yellow, and others say it looks awesome. Can anyone give more info, or submit a screenshot?

I have the arms, gloves, bracer and boots. The pieces look kinda like pee yellow chainmail on my female Iksar Shaman.

Unfortunately, many things look pretty bad on iksar, with "pee-anything" color. Verant really needs to shape up.. I.e. we got some neato chain mail from PoG, a troll won it and put it on - very neat and cool look! Same chain BP dropped later and iksar won it - he put it on and.. yuck! What a crappy look, with another pee-yellow-greenish look.. Why can't Verant make them look good on iksar too?
Umm guys? plz

No offence but skyshrine bp has 4 to all resists, 5 more hitpoints and 20 more mana than this bp. Would you wear a 5hp 20mana 4svall ring instead of a plain 6ac ring in a raid atmosphere? of course. Dont mean to rain on your parade but this bp is a waste of time, resists are the way to go for shaman, and the only velious bps with resists come off vindicator, skyshrine quest, or mischief quest.

You can put your silly blue diamond gear on... I'd rather have a skyshrine bp.

You as an oracle yourself should know shamans need ac, 4 sv aint gonna make a huge difference unless your resists really suck. Which they shouldnt if your lvl 55+ i have a full set of Spirit caller's +full bd, epic, blah blah the works on my 57 shaman i do fine on raids, other than when you try to slow. id rather have ac than a simple 4sv, all i gotta say is, you begin csating Turgurs insects, loading please wait
graphix

Are the graphix on this bp yellow Ry'Gorr or yellow guardian??
RE: graphix
# Jul 09 2001 at 4:27 AM Rating: Decent
Yellow Guardian on a Barbarian. It basically looks the same as the Sentry Guardian armor that drops off the 35-40th level Sentries in SS, except it has a yellowish tint to it. On a Lizzy though, this armor looks awesome. They really make the lizzy version look like some high end armor, but they screwed the barbarians by just taking what they already had and tinting it.
a little slack plz

I would like to know what the warriors are doing while we are Cann'ing down and Topor'ing back up so they can stand a few seconds longer? Sitting? I think so....next time you see a Shaman Cannidancing, remember, its hard work and can get old real fast but since thats what we have been reduced to please cut us some slack on our almost impossible to obtain high AC BP. :/

You begin casting Turgur's insects
You have been Summoned
LOADING........PLEASE WAIT
Anyone have these?

I've heard various ways of going about getting the things need for these quests. Apparently most jewels drop from various places around Vel, while the armor drops from a few specific guards either dorf or giant.
What I'm hoping for is someone who has done the quest will be so kind as to post how they went about doing so. Please include who or what you killed for each drop, their zone, loc if at all possible, what faction you gained and or loss, what lvl you were upon doing this, whether you grp'd or solo'd, and a small discription of how cool you look now.
I know some of you might be thinking I may be asking alot, but I feel if these could be answered by someone with the experience of doing the quest, it would save many of your brethren who unfotunately don't have all day to spend in Norrath(
Peace and Blessings to you all and may no one dare offer you a breathe mint.
It's Thurgadin quests you kill giants for...

To get tarnished armor, you need to kill drakes and stuff in Temple of Veeshan. It's pretty daunting to smaller, lower level guilds. You might want to set your sights on Thurgadin quests instead. They're lower quality, but much more attainable.

"Is that AC Right?! How can that be true? Like a shaman needs that much AC!"

Ever seen a shaman in action? A *good* shaman?

Shaman begins casting.
Mob is slowed.
Shaman gets attacked for the next few rounds.

or,
Shaman begins casting.
Mob resists.
Shaman earns a nice beat down.
Shaman begins casting.
Mob resists.
Shaman continues to earn his beat down.
Shaman begins casting.
Mob is slowed.
Shaman is still aggroed and the mob won't leave him alone.

Ever raid growth? Watch a shaman try and slow a protector of growth or a phase puma. Then watch them die. A lot. Even with 1000 buffed AC. Happens to me all the time.
RE: AC! YEP AC! SHM NEED AC!
# Mar 12 2001 at 8:21 PM Rating: Excellent
Shm DO need that much AC! Well maybe not a HAVE to, but many shm (like myself) enjoy soloing stuff, and sometime you just have to jump in the fray as a shm (this is leg up over the druids and clerics of norrath). Another thing is we happen to aggro mobs VERY well (badly?) Since we heal the palyers, dot the mobs, debuff the mobs, AND buff the players sometimes in ONE battle.
NOTE: this is NOT a flame at all, just giving reasons why shm like to have high AC.

i agree the ac is a great thing for shamans shamans can mele the best out of all the casting classes (no im not including hybrids) and being able to do soooooo much stuff shamans advance pretty quickly through a mobs hate list and most likey get the mob hitting you well have fun all
RE: AC! YEP AC! SHM NEED AC!

also, i find that when playing a SHM, that the very low charisma tends to @$!& off the mobs even when sticking to secondary heal/dot/buff. like high cha contributes to a charm, so does hate, the lower the cha, the hate builds up much easier. and since only large races and the iksar all have very low cha mobs aggro more than they would an ench or cleric ( i also play a warrior at level 48, and i find myself taunting off of SHM's more commonly than clerics, but arguably more so than an ench.)

Don't forget halflings. They have horrible charisma as well.

wow more ac than a cobalt bp... quest must be REAL hard... or verant is ******** us warriors again (SK and Pally got defense upgraded to same as warrior... and some other classes... now shamans getting more ac then us..)
RE: AC! YEP AC! SHM NEED AC!
# Mar 14 2001 at 9:17 AM Rating: Decent
You can't compare that. You could, however, compare the Cobalt to Jaundiced.

This is a Kael BP, so compare it to the warrior Kael BP.

First of all the class loot envy crap is REALLY lame. Please stow it. Secondly, if Verant decided to put in game a set of armor that completely encased and protected a Shaman, giving him 100 times the best warrior AC....you should get on your freakin knees and thank them for protecting the class that Buffs you, regens you, hastes you, slows mobs, heals you, debuffs, sow's, and generally saves your butt.

All the Kael and Skyshrine quest armors just got boosted, including AC on the pieces. I'm quite sure the Warrior BP was submitted before this change, and it already had more AC than Cobalt. The BP submited to this site from Kael for Warriors has 49 ac, and I am very confident that was pre-upgrade.

This shaman piece is brand new submit and thus reflects the changed stats, so chill... And yes, the various armor quests from SoV are extremely hard, and it seems the Kael quests are the toughest in general, so they should have great AC/stats.
