I have heard differing stories on what faction you need for the skyshrine armor. Do you need CoV or Yelinak(sp?)?

You need CoV faction and must be 'ally' to do skyshrine quests.

with the right equiptment, (these legs, donals bp, donals arms) and the right group makeup(Shaman, bard/chanter, 2 tanks and a monk and the cleric), you will never be out of mana again in an exp group.

ex: 8 hrs expin in velks lab in the pits, was fm for at least 7 of the 8 hrs.
ex: sirens grotto, same thing.
Ex: kael, fell asleep and died(LOL) after 5 hrs of constantly clicking my legs(OMG ! )but till then(in plaza) didnt use any mana cept to buff.

ppl think that 105hp isnt that much but then again in a typical mob fight(velks = 2 mins say at most) your castin this every 10 secs, thats approc 1200+hp to EACH member of your group during that 2 mins it takes to kill a mob.
#REDACTED, Posted: Jan 06 2002 at 9:55 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) few thoughts about clerics....
Unadorned..
# Jan 04 2002 at 7:15 AM Rating: Default
Unadorned Pieces drop in Halls of Testing which is the west wing of ToV. 2 and 1/2 groups of 57+ (need 2-3 rogues with epic, and of course an ench to c2 and haste although you will need an ench w/ epic to be able to have enough mana to function) with 1-2 skilled monks can single pull HoT and get plently of armor drops.

Group Make-up
Cleric - 3-4 (get an epic in there rez'ing is needed if you are new to HoT)
Rogues - 2 or 3
Warriors - 3 (58-60)
Monks - 2 or 3
Enchanter(s) - 1 (w/ epic) or 2-3 without (lvl 60 to land tash consistently)
Shamans & Mages - lvl 60, you need to get mala or malo landed - whoever is slowing needs to ONLY slow.. no back-up heals etc.. they will probably get aggro and die.. so beware
Rangers/Paladins/SK's - (unspecified) They do dmg, and a good pally can tank added mob's
Druids - (unspecified) Alas the least need class although, the circle of winter/summer are great for the resists so I suggest 2-3 [backup healing is important.. so have your shamans/druids prepared
Necro's - (2) Mana dumps and they can land DoT's
Wizard - If you can get any high lvl wizards.. bring them!

I suggest you keep your HoT group under 24 people, because anthing more then that gets hectic and disorganized which, WILL get you wiped out.

P.S. - remember to keep the mob's pushed into the fire pots and have your casters hide near the door.

P.P.S. - All casters need to stand up when there is inc.. unless you want a) dead casters b) adds

This person makes a good post overall, but is misleading on a few points.

Quote:
Enchanter(s) - 1 (w/ epic) or 2-3 without (lvl 60 to land tash consistently)

The line of Tash spells is unresistable, so level has nothing to do with landing the spell consistently. Now, as with most spell lines and enchanter's Tash becomes more powerful as they level.

With recent changes to mob resists, you really will be best to have a full debuff team. The proper debuff order for slowing is: Malo/Malos/Mala, Occlusion of Sound, Tash, and Malosini/Malosinia before slowing.

"Unadorned Pieces drop in Halls of Testing which is the west wing of ToV. 2 and 1/2 groups of 57+ "
Lol
Smart guy
West wing is for Kael Quest armor drops
HoT is east...
And it takes 2 groups and 1 cleric to do HoT..
Shaman is not a *mus* nor is chanter, need one or the other.. Just its nice to have em.

"And it takes 2 groups and 1 cleric to do HoT.."
Haha, I would like to see you try and do HoT with only one Cleric. You need a MT and ST, nice to have 2 Cleris with MT. You will also need one cleric with the ST group. What happens if that one Cleric goes LD, or dies? Who will heal the MT?
Think before you start flaming people you moron.

RE: Unadorned..
# May 23 2002 at 11:11 AM Rating: Default
It can indeed be done without 2 clerics, if you have mostly 60s with good resists.

I question the no-enchanter thing though. The white wurms and cerulean sky drakes will complete-heal, and some others will gate on you. If you don't have an enchanter to mana-seive, the CHeal will hurt and the gater will summon your raid one by one.

Dunno, maybe a bard can mana-seive well enough?

You don't need a monk for pulling either, if the puller knows what he's doing. Hard to learn if you are not a monk since mistakes mean multiples in camp or dead puller. But now that I know how to pull it, I get singles every time... as long as I time the wanderers.

The Stats?

Strange how the stats in the picture and the stats in the typed out portion are not the same.

Its my understanding that the pic is old, and the typed out stats are for real, btw.
#Anonymous, Posted: Mar 14 2001 at 6:29 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) i may sound stupid but since WHEN elf can be clerics ??? is that due do a patch ? dont understand ...
#Anonymous, Posted: Mar 17 2001 at 10:29 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Why is it that every time we see one of these (ie: any item that just happens to have a race listed that cant be the class the item is for) we have to wade through wasted space on the message boards form people that rather then putting useful information that might actually help someone have nothing more to do then make dumb comments. What is the incredible need to state the blatent obvious. NO elfs can not be clerics, NO it is not from a patch, NO you did not miss something and NO you dont understand and YES it is true you never will understand.
#REDACTED, Posted: Jul 21 2001 at 2:43 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Not to mention a couple of run-on sentences, a dangling participle, and a couple of undeclined verbs.
#Anonymous, Posted: Mar 26 2001 at 10:31 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) You have a capital F after a comma, it should be lower case.
#REDACTED, Posted: Mar 19 2001 at 2:06 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) What the hell are you talking about - I have been a High Elf cleric for 56 levels now. Take a good look at many of the people you see healing you - doh! they are high elves.
RE: cleric ELF ????!!!

ELF = Wood Elf, for the unenlightened
HIE = High Elf.

Hope that clears things up for you Aleik.
New Stats
# Mar 09 2001 at 6:11 PM Rating: Excellent
After this week's patch, the stats on the leggings have been upgraded:

They are now AC31 instead of 24, +70 mana instead of +40, and +1 to Magic/Cold/Fire/Disease, and +5 to Poison. The rest of the stats remain the same.

(I haven't had a chance to take a new screenshot)

Kaladur Spectrebane
Luclin Server

PS the leggings won't get nerfed. It takes 10 seconds to heal 100 hps. If only one person is getting attacked, 10hp per second is totally insufficient.

Especially considering the cleric can't do anything else at the time.

If everyone is getting hit by say AE, there isn't a monster worth fighting that AE's for less than 100 dmg in 10 seconds. And meanwhile, the primary tank is getting hit for 300 a pop while you're busy casting a 100 pt heal?

This is _only_ useful for helping top off people in easy fights. It keeps your mana from running out because you can med while you're casting it.

I'd say if I CHAIN CAST it every 10 seconds for an hour, it decreases my mana expenditure by about 10% at most during that hour.
#Anonymous, Posted: Mar 08 2001 at 10:35 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Where does these things drop ?
drops in ToV
# Mar 25 2001 at 6:47 PM Rating: Default
All unadorned items drop off level 60+ mobs in The Temple of Veeshan, off of the Western Wastes. The ones on frenzy faction... I beleive the ones on ClawsOfVeeshan faction drop quest armor for the Kael quests. You need aprox 24 55+ players to clear the whole place with ease.(Except for Dozekar, and perhaps the other named)

They look like FS when equiped and have zero stats before quested, no AC either.
#Anonymous, Posted: Mar 14 2001 at 8:37 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) I'm not sure they drop, I heard they were just normal fine plate(made by smiths).
#Anonymous, Posted: Mar 07 2001 at 11:30 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) This is pathetic. Not only did they change it to a ****** effect but its the same effect as the kael legggings!!!!! pathetic!!!

I know it's a group Heal but how meny HP and Cast time... ??
RE: Effect ?
# Nov 30 2001 at 12:43 AM Rating: Excellent
The heal is actually 105 for each group member, for a full specialized cleric. Really this is not bad, make a hotkey to heal group when you are FM.
RE: Effect ?
# Mar 07 2001 at 6:47 PM Rating: Default
The effect heals 100hp to all group members.
#Anonymous, Posted: Mar 07 2001 at 8:13 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) yet another item that will be beaten with the nerf stick in the next patch
#Anonymous, Posted: Mar 07 2001 at 10:23 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) HAH! the effect on this is crappy compared to cleric nerf armor.
#Anonymous, Posted: Mar 08 2001 at 3:35 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Just a quick question:
#Anonymous, Posted: Mar 08 2001 at 2:17 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) I agree.
RE: Effect ?
# Jun 08 2001 at 2:41 AM Rating: Default
If a mob cannot kill a tank in 30 seconds, without the tank getting healed, the mob did not deserve to win in the first place. Also, sadly its not possible to recast a spell right away. Ever cast Complete Heal? The game just will not allow you to instantly recast the spell. There is a delay. The same applies to BP's. If you have never used a Donals' BP, then you really should have no comment on the issue. Because you simply don't know.
RE: Effect ?
# Dec 17 2002 at 8:01 AM Rating: Decent
well, apparently you have never used a donals BP either because you would know that you cannot recast it on the same person for 7 mins. others sure, but not the same one making it not worth while as before it was nerfed. mainly because it leaves an icon on the person that was CH'ed and with only 15 buff slots available, you dont need one waisted. as for 100pts not being much, i have these legs and after i cast MoR, MoK, and my pet, i just sit back and click these till someone needs a real heal. usually get about 10 off during a fight so thatrs 1050 hp that i didnt have to use mana to cast.
RE: Effect ?
# Jan 04 2002 at 12:10 AM Rating: Default
We are all allowed our opinion even if it's wrong or untrue. I have been shouted down because they put the shaman UBERBuff on a weapon, people saying that those are very rare et al, but I still disagree. I say that there shouldn't be a free major heal in the game, mostly for the purpose of there being SOME difficulty in taking mobs out. but as this heals a little over 100hp it's not that big a buff (but the old Complete Heal is way to much in IMHO)
