Pristine Emeralds

mcgeenillyc,
Pristine Emeralds drop pretty regularly in Dragon Necropolis from the chetaari as well. Usually drop 1 or 2 per hour.

Dalcron, this robe has a cast time of 30 NOT 110 minutes.. my god.

Pristine Emeralds drop in numerous places, the only place that comes to mind atm is Siren's Grotto

This robe (with SoL) looks like a Siren Scale Robe

And yes this robe blows the PoH Enc. robe (Insidious) out of the water but Insidious looks a LOT better

WTB Hooked on Phonics. Learn to read tool. He didn't say the cast time is 110 minutes, that's the lasting time if not hit.

PoH Robe better
# Jun 11 2001 at 7:20 PM Rating: Decent
This robe is pretty good, but for chanters you want crazy int AND CHA. Insidious robe has +14 int and +15 cha! id take insidious over this robe any day (or any of the velious quest robes)

Honestly, when you get over 50 in order to do the large targets you dont need Intel and Charisma. You need resists and +mana items and AC .. whatever order you choose. I personally did it that way and I rarely die in a fight. Normally your lvl 50 Enchanter should already have 200 Charisma and 200 Intel. Especially with all the High Elf's out there. I am a Human and did it at 51. Doesn't really matter too much though. We aren't needed that much usually actually during the fight.

Ehhh, what ya talking about? Insidious Robe is +13 INT and +3 CHA ( and +10 STA and +8 DEX).

The states of the robe is quite nice, regardless of its ugly appearance. This robe really makes the PoH one crappy. The only thing that ruined the robe is its effect. Gee, Clarity on the Legging and Rune IV on the robe. Usually by the time you get the robe, you are way beyond those 2 spells. Of course, unless the ancient silks are so common drop, which is not, that your guild has summon a Lv1 chanter to loot it. The only time that I will use that clarity is when I'm twink a caster (safe a spell slot) or when I just got resed and is completly manaless. And for Rune IV.......hm, I rather stick with Rune V even it costs me mana.
No CR?
# May 05 2001 at 10:32 AM Rating: Default
This is odd. The corresponding robes in Skyshrine and Thurgadin have CR. This robe is missing Cold Resist bonus?

RE: Gems?

I heard it takes gems to cast some effects, does this one need the peridot to cast it?
recast time?
# Mar 07 2001 at 8:35 PM Rating: Default
what is the recast time on rune for this item? watch em nerf this like the cleric items
RE: recast time?
# Mar 11 2001 at 2:59 PM Rating: Default
Just one problem.. They are nerfing items that HEAL., not items that add magical skin., so the chance they will nerf this one will probably be very slim
RE: recast time?
# Mar 07 2001 at 10:41 PM Rating: Default
You know this is gonna get nerfed, unless the recast time is over 20 mins.
RE: recast time?
# Mar 08 2001 at 12:01 AM Rating: Default
Recast time is about 28 seconds, the effect rarely gets used, rune 5 is so much better.
RE: recast time?
# Mar 08 2001 at 12:46 AM Rating: Default
no it doesnt require a gem:)

RE: recast time?
# Mar 08 2001 at 2:11 AM Rating: Decent
Just logged on and tried out my PoG robe that has the same effect. Ate up a peridot. I highly doubt that the Kael robe would act differently. If it does then... wow! =)
RE: recast time?
# Mar 08 2001 at 1:07 PM Rating: Default
what does the effect rune IV do ne way?
RE: recast time?
# Mar 08 2001 at 1:31 PM Rating: Default
Its a few hundred point damage skin. Any melee damage done to you will be absorbed until all the hps in the damage skin are used up.
damn nice

wow. damn. that is nice. looks great on Darkies too
RE: damn nice

i agree, its nice to have a large full body shot for the new items, in my mind

Very nice Like the Rune IV too thats nice gives them Clarity Pimps an extra spell slot :)
RE: No folks its DAMNNNNN SHWEET
# Mar 07 2001 at 8:59 PM Rating: Decent
Sorry, while I agree the robe is nice the rune4 effect on it sucks. Sucks BAD. If it didn't require a reagent to cast rune4 then it'd be great but at the level most enchanters will be able to acquire this robe they can cast rune5 which uses the same reagent but is about double the effectiveness. Both rune4 and rune5 require peridots (roughly 11pp gem) to cast.
#REDACTED, Posted: Mar 08 2001 at 12:09 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) is there a way to add a stronger negative rating likes "sucks like a Tim the Toolman Taylor Hoover"
RE: No folks its DAMNNNNN SHWEET
# Mar 07 2001 at 11:15 PM Rating: Default
I would ponder a guess that the Robe doesn't require the peridot to cast ... therefore its cheaper on mana and money.
RE: No folks its DAMNNNNN SHWEET
# Mar 08 2001 at 12:04 AM Rating: Decent
It requires a peridot, takes 28 seconds to cast... Enchanters usually have more then enough mana so using the robe over rune 5 rarely happens.
RE: No folks its DAMNNNNN SHWEET
# May 03 2001 at 1:49 AM Rating: Default
I could see it being usefull on some fights against mobs that are going to take forever to kill and you have several robed enchanters and a lack of healers, other than that there really isnt much need for this effect.

as for stats, the hp is the deciding factor on this one, even tho the saves become a factor being ~8 sv all. one more item goes to SS.
