# Jan 26 2007 at 3:26 PM Rating: Decent
say I have Dain 1 + Dain 2 done and I am lvl 65 then when I complete Dain 3 do I have to remove the aug and hand in all 3 again for the better aug or just hand in the aug for Dain 3 and I will get the up grade?
if equipt
# Feb 15 2007 at 2:07 PM Rating: Decent
Just hand in the portion of the historical seal and the aug stats will change, even if equipped. I guess technically you'll only see the stats if equipped but you get the point.
Aug Question
# Dec 12 2006 at 8:04 AM Rating: Decent
My alt is a 56 cleric anyone know what stats would be after I finished 3rd mission have 1,2 completed already.Would it be adapted to my level or full stats once im 65.I know the shield showed +130Hp ect from mission 1 but only gave me reduced stats since wasnt 60+ when looted it.

This is the one you will get at 56:

https://everquest.allakhazam.com/db/item.html?item=48976

However, once you are higher level, you can destroy that one, and rehail the guy to get the diamond one.
so you have to have seal first?

I have done all 3 missions. I didn't get lucky enough to get the seal on the first mission I did, but got it on the last mission I did, which happened to be Dain 1. When I equiped it, I got very low stats 1 to stats and ac 2. So do you have to have the seal then do the other 2 missions?

You get nothing as far as powerups from completing the mission. You only get powerups from handing in each portion of the seal.
I don't remember the exact percentages, but its something like 10% for dain 1, 25% for dain 2, and 65% for dain 3.

So, even if you complete two and three again, unless you loot the seal, and turn it in, you WILL NOT get powerups.
hmm?

So you do a mission, then have to apply the augment to see its stats. Then do another mission, have to pay to remove the augment, destroy it, hail the guy to get another augment? Then repeat for the 3rd time? That just seems screwy

No, do the task, get the aug, equip it and the stats go up as you complete the other tasks, very easy for the nice aug

So you do not have to loot a seal from each of the 3 missions to get the upgrade?

The items you loot, are handed in to the guy in icewell, who gives the MM. It powers the augment up, kind of like a charm, or the charm augs.

Upgrading Seal

I can confirm the following works, I did it last night.

Take your complete aug (seals 1,2,3 combined)and destroy it. Yes, destroy it. Then hail him. He will hand you the upgraded aug and say something like, "Here, dont lose it again".

I had the pre-61 seal, destroyed it, hailed him...and he handed me the post 61 seal. Simple as that.

Did this on someone else's advice and, yes, I was sure it wasn't gonna work. It did for me.

Got all 3 in one night, got lucky that no one needed it in 1 and 3 and I thought I had worst luck, rolled a 182 in 2, other person rolled a 12 so I lucked out a gain. Way easy to get and really nice in my masters gloves. Those are the least likely thing I will upgrade soon. Nice aug for 65 monk ;)

Multiple augs?

now here is my question: if you were to collect all 3 portions of the seal say from 51-60, then again at 61+, do you get 2 different versions of the completed aug to be used?
Multiple augs?
# Aug 30 2006 at 9:21 AM Rating: Decent
That was my thought.. I figured if you started a new toon you could get a different aug every 10 levels and end up with some decent augs.. but unfortunaly this is not the case.

My GF has the 51-60 (Platinum) seal and now that she is 66 she tried turning in new seals for the Diamond Studded and the historian just ate the seal and said she cannot have duplicate item's.

Even though the names are different, the lore, "An Official Seal of the Coldain Historical Society", is the same for all the seal augs. Bummer.. :(

First one

Please not, this is the aug has 3 levels depending on how many of the 3 quest you have finished.

1 quest done = (will edit when I get info)
ac +?, (+1 to str, sta, wis, int), (+1 to all saves), (+?? to Hp, mana, end), regeneration +? and avoidance +?

2 quests done =
ac +4, (+2 to str, sta, wis, int), (+2 to all saves), (+24 to Hp, mana, end), regeneration +2 and avoidance +5

all 3 quests done =
ac +14, (+7 to str, sta, wis, int), (+7 to all saves), (+70 to hp, mana, end), regen +7, avoidance +15

It doesn't matter what order you do the quests in and to get this aug you turn in the seal you get to Dain's historian duggans.
It is unknown at this time if you keep the seal you get at a lower level and turn it in later at a higher level for the higher level version. I seriously doubt that works because EQ seems to mark the level of the seal the moment you leave the MM. So if you have the 51-60 version you have to do the quest again to get the 61-70 version, this version shown here.

One quest done will =
ac +2
+1 to Str, Sta, Wis, Int
+1 to all saves
+10 to Hp, Mana, End
I believe + 1 each to regen and avoidance

The exact stats after doing Dain 1 only are as follows:

AC 2, STR +1, STA +1, WIS +1, INT +1, HP +10, MANA +10, ENDURANCE +10
SV FIRE +1, SV DISEASE +1, SV COLD +1, SV MAGIC +1, SV POISON +1
Regeneration +1
Avoidance: +2
