I got one last night from a Hill Giant in Rathe Mountains, any idea what they sell to players for? Would help if I knew what it was for, if anything, other than the Seafarer's Harpoon...

I looted one off of an Aviak Rook last night... Found it odd to find this Magical Gem at KFC...

I was told they were used for a quest, but not which quest, so I can't confirm this.

I found one on a hill giant in the Rathe Mountains, with a charisma of 105 and a merchant who judged me warmly I was offered 10pp for it.
Flawless aquamarines are now used for some enchanted seafarers' weapons. One submitted recipe includes enchanted seafarers' harpoon, a piercing 6/26 weapon with dex and agi improvements.

There is currently no known recipe that uses a Flawless aquamarine. They are nice loot due to the price (I can get upto 11pp with my enchanter), they are stackable, and they weight the same as gems (nothing). I have never seen them drop in a non-kunark zone so they may be a quest item but not for jewelry crafting.

I looted one off of an Aviak Harrier yesterday. But the one that I looted had the line "Magic Item" in the description. Might it now be possible for non-enchanter jewelers to be able to make magic jewelry?
