I found this for under 20pp at a vendor up in Luclin. Bought it for my L16, now 17 chanter, he can now outdamage the pet most of the time :-)

NOT a proc

First of all ... this is *not* a proc, it is a right click effect.
A guildmate gave one to my newbie chanter and with the damage output of this baby i guess i can solo him to 20+ without any problems (don't want to go trough this orc-group hell in EC again)
It *never* said "your will is not sufficient..", but when i right click it, it sais "you are not sufficient level to use this item" (guess it works 45 up, like many of the Kunark higher lvl rightlick items)

second point - weaken *does* make a difference. Maybe not for your high level chanter trying to solo blue MoBs (does for me at lvl 7 .. mez, tash, weaken, DoT = very weak almost dead yellow mob), but it lowers the MoB's attack that is counted vs. the tanks AC.
Chanters that say it doesn't, apparently never played a melee class and i still wonder how some people get 40+ and still come up with stuff like: "I just slowed the Giant, do you see a difference?" or never have mana for alacrity/augment, but insist on nuking during battle.
It gives you 1 more spell slot and 1 more manaless debuff that you didn't use until now (you don't even have to research it) AND when you're full mana you can melee a bit - with your own haste this is like a 11/16 weapon.. not too bad and decent damage output without using mana for nukes.

It does have some SERIOUS down sides. Examples being it has NO stats. If you take this into yur hands you can kiss a lot of Int/Mana goodbye. I mean if you have a main thats something like 5 int and a stein of 10... thats 15 int you just dropped.

If you mean to melee only with, sure... I mean if your going to do it, you better do it well.

Wish the spell was something a bit more usefull and lower lvl to cast... I know it doesnt at 19, I dread the 45 i'm guessing is correct. The spell says "Enchanter level 34" that would make it worth it... then... The lvl for This identify mask I had on my mage was like 19? And I coud not cast it for a long time. And then you get stuff like a Mask of Diception that drops of a 45ish mob and is cliackable at 11. *small laugh*

Before you call me insane...

Even some enchanters I group with (even ones like level 45ish) often melee, since they are only chain-stunning something and for that you must be in melee range. through the course of a bitg fight, that enchanter would add a couple hundred "free" damage AND probably proc this a couple times ;) not too bad

You think? He could proc it a few times? And a whole 200 damage?

#Anonymous, Posted: Jun 02 2001 at 11:53 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Yeah this thing sucks. If it was useable by melee classes it would be an insane weapon to pass around your guild for melees to get their 2hb up fast.

anyone sold / bought one yet? i picked one up but havn't had an offer yet in auctions
#Anonymous, Posted: Mar 02 2001 at 5:08 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) It's worthless except for pvp. The weakness line of spells has no noticeable effect on creatures so far as anyone can tell. Would be fun to boon yourself and wack someone with this in a duel though.

Wouldn't need the boon, it is a right click item, not proc. I picked one up the other night and you are right, I would probably never use it. It came to be by default since I was the only chanter there. I do actually hold a 2hb staff in my hands though (chetari wardstaff) so my skill with 2hb is pretty decent. Would be a decent twink item though for a lowbie.
