Got this today after 40 minutes off a mature Wurm, I set up near -350, 200 = plenty of mobs to kill without wandering too far

note : this still drops got one for my alt in feb 2015 took about 2 hours of killing trash to get one.

Finally got aug to drop near center of zone after about 3 hours

I wanted one for as a non-premium only damage aug so set forth to see if this still dropped. As of July 14 2014 they still drop. It took me about an hour and half of mass killing these guys to get it though.
On the map near the circular lava area is several crossroad style places the mobs path through so you really don't have to wander far to kill a bunch.
Also the mobs rot fairly fast ~7 or 8 minutes so if you're doing the hunt for an alt you'll want them camped nearby.

Got 1 this morning off Chromadrac of all things. To think I avoid them because they dispell my buffs. grrr

ive spent the better part of a week farming here no less than 4 hours a day and still havent got 1 to drop anyone know if they still drop as of 12/09?
Yes it still drops but is a super rare drop, so they can change it from common to rare drop.
Somewhere heckling Fleven about updating quest info lol...

Got one today, 18/9/09 off some random mob, didn't get name of mob, however suspect it can drop off of anything.

dropped for me last night in the wee hours of the morning, while i was farming for pearlescent fragments for cleric 1.0, I had spent a total of 5-8 hours there killing everything in sight but only saw this drop once. judging by the drop rate i would say this is uncommon to rare. threw it in my Lelluran's Sacred Longsword.

Also drops on an Ancient Wurm, was camping the mob for the Suspended Wurm Blood (which I still haven't gotten yet -_-), and it dropped on the 3rd kill of him.
Got mine on the 8th kill of the ancient wurm

can anyone confirm if this still drops now that the hotzones have changed?
Yes one dropped today and was /ooc on Quellious about five minutes ago so yes they do still drop now the hotspots have changed
Thanks. I really want one of these =p bards suck at getting aggro so I can equip these sort of augs with little trouble, hehe.

One of these dropped today on the Quellious server from "an elder wyvern" by the entrance to Veeshan's Peak.
This thing is resisted nearly 99% of the time.Compleatly usseless to me so far.
...on a Skycinder Drake.

I got two of this in a row in the space of 30 minutes. Both of mature chromodrac. 2nd rotted. Perhaps it is a zonewide rare drop?
I have killed the mottled over 20 times, it only drops the ring and the hp aug. The weapon aug i did get off a drake near VP entrance.

it was a wyvern but not the motted wyvern, this one had (protector)in its name, but i didnt jot it down. also its no drop
