hi like a month ago some iksars and ogres were bored and raided rvervale.
all the guards were dead as well as PoD when i got there tho.
then like 8 days after that i was in ak'anon and i asked some lady to kill him and she tryed and died and cam back with 4 65 1 64 1 60 and they mowed him down in like 15 seconds.
it was pretty sweet

well if you want a nice pet .... DC one and kill everything in the zone ...
How would you DC a level 50 mob?
I was bored one day and decided to attack the PoD in Kaladim along with a 65 cleric friend, and recorded some observations:
This guy is very magic resistant. He melees between 50-200. He doesn't have a lot of HP, but his regen is pretty high which sucks because his AC is very high which causes lots of misses. He casts weak cleric nukes, and heals himself when you get him below 50% health. It wasn't a terribly exciting fight, but at least my curiosity was satisfied .

Posted: Dec 28 2002 at 4:21 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) well i wanted to know more about the staff by reading these, but instead i read things that make me stop blinking, i think alakazam should make a ranting section because EVERY major item's post turns into one. as for the halfling priest, thats just ironic saying a priest is as tall as a little boy..... dont forget to hold your babies out of windows with towells over there heads. speaking of towells... wanna get high?

Yea, that happened to my whole guild, most ppl got a staff, and when we moved to another PoD, they all turned into combine morning stars! Tried to submit a bug report, but I don't understand the new layout of it hehe

uhh considering that this guy hits for 300+ dmg shouldn't he drop somethin a lil better then 10,40!?
lol, considering your lvl 60, by now you should know that it doesn't matter what kind of weapon the mob wields that will consider his damage output. I've fought mobs wielding crapy weapons such as fine steel who hit insanely with them. If VI made the PoD drop something uberific, it would no doupt be uber rare and most likely nodrop. And why do people allways twink this guy? Every time I run into Neriak he's allways wearing different clothes and wielding diffrent weapons. Sometimes it's summond stuff and sometimes it's not.

I think he was asking "shouldn't this guy drop more appropriate loot" not "shouldn't he have a weapon capable of putting out that damage".
As it turns out, he should not have better loot. The PoD was not meant to be killed, though it escapes me why they put a nice robe (nice at the time PoD was created, anyway) on a mob that no one was supposed to kill....

peeps twink the priest in rivervale on the veeshan server for fun, if someone were to kill, i bet about 25items would drop lol, that would be cool.

well heres how get a caster or someone with a good bow and pull him and die in front of the guards then he guards will attack pod pretty cool to watch. that and i remeber along time ago i saw a 58th necro kiting him around

After you spend at least 30 minutes killing the PoD and looting his robe (same stats as FBR) and staff, you've got about 20 minutes to enjoy the staff.
It changes to a combine morningstar when you log, or after about 20 minutes of sitting in a backpack.
I petitioned about this and got the following respose...
Hail Friend, Senior Guide Keplar here. I'm afraid the change you mentioned is intentional. The PoD is not meant to be killed, so to discourage that, his staff changes into a combine morningstar.

Actually the Robe is now No Rent. It does not pay to kill a PoD. I don't even remember if they give experience now, but most are above Lv 50. I saw a group of 4 bored level 52+ ppl attacking the one in Kelethin...needless to say they lasted all of 10 minutes in the fight.
Maybe on your server? perhapse? I am just saying when I was in rivervale not but a few weeks ago, some people killed him for fun... and let me loot the robe after a shout out. I wore it quite some time, and yes... different days. On Terris-Thule it is not a NO RENT item.
Personally I think the robe is way better then the staff. I picked up a fungus covered whatever off a merchant for 6pp - id have to look but ive found much better for much less trouble.

Mwahahah a few lvl 50's killed him alot today they said it was nice xp they sent their pets after him and ran, it was pretty cool =)!!!
