When does this bad boy proc? I've seen level one on this page and 50...quite the range lol

I run this in my primary with the SBoZ in secondary ( i know waste of good wep. ) but the wave constantly hits for 40's and the sboz hits 30's the DoT is what makes this thing rock for soloing. the slow with the dot ensure it will be a quick fight. give the combo a try. ive soloed to 51 on sullon zek with this combo (ranger btw) oh one final thing...casters should just gate when they see "you target has been slowed by the Breath of the Sea"...messy is all I can say, one min they are trying to cast (interupt..interupt... interupt)...the next...slain. good hunting all safe paths

Picked one of these up yesterday on Fennin Ro. Somehow i got it for 8k and a frostbringer. i gotta say it is ubelieveable. My warrior is currently level 47 and i always had trouble keeping aggro with a frostbringer/LSOEE combo. granted the damage output was very high but that doesnt help when your cleric is getting wrecked. I now wield the Wavecrasher and the LSOEE together. While some people think that because the LSOEE has a 29 delay it is hard to hold aggro with (they are right) the WC really picks up the slack. It procs on average 6 times a fight w/ 132 dex and i can outtaunt almost any tank in Karnors even though im level 47. This is not necessariy a good thing as i still have the dmg and AC cap but at least the cleric only has to heal one person, and that is reall what a warrior s for. Definitely not gonna sell this thing fr a while. I only know of two on the server (please dont flame me, im probably wrong), the other one wielded by a ranger w/ a deathwish. Offer me a Dathor Great Hammer and w'll talk business. /t Suurge.

If this Procs twice in a row, will both dots stick? IE can I end up with overlapping 200 hp dots going on my mob?

What lvl does Wavecrasher Proc anyone know ?

I am a 55 ranger and have been wielding this bad boy for about 5 levels. I was nervous at first, and rightfully so. I figured the aggro from this weapon would be the death of me for sure. Well, after 5 levels I can say this is a great Ranger weapon for the Ranger who does not pretend to be a tank (and of course has yet to complete his epic). Don't get me wrong, this weapon is MUCH better suited for a Warrior, especially during those single mob encounters when aggro MUST be maintained by the tank. But between all my aggro reduction techniques, and Jolt/Cinder Jolt I have no problem wielding this in an xp group. It has also made melee soloing possible. Of course, I seldom use it during those single mob encounters aforementioned, simply because, well, it would be stupid. I give it to my favorite *** kickin uber tank and let the mob beat up on him, and more importantly, NOT beat up on me.

Point of interest, the proc is tested vs. cold resist, so it lands on many mobs that a normal slow is VERY hard to land on. Nice to have that early 20% slow going while the shammy is chain casting slow til it lands.

I have a 60 warrior on Veeshan. A while back I picked this up for 20k and so far it's been the best investment I have made. first off ToD is a better slow. it lasts longer and the weapon does more damage. But....warriors are not there do to damage. we are not there to slow mobs. All a warrior is for, is to get hit so the real damage classes don't have to.

When a wavecrasher is in the hands of a 60 warrior with raid buffs. Focus/aego/VoG it is a mob magnet. While its damage ratio is not all that hot. while its stats are nothing to drool at, it does proc a very high agro spell. and when you have a warrior with 255 dex and 255str taunting and casting 20% slows and dots on mobs it does seem to get their attention. It is able to slow most mobs and I have even landed slows on Wyverns in ToV before the shammy can land a good one. a 20% slow is not a big reduction but it can save you a few hundred HP's and it will keep agro off the shammy incase they have to cast multiple slows. I duel wield this and a Snowchipper. with the effect from the Wavecrasher and the Snowchipper its hard to get agro off me for more than a few seconds.

untill I can replace this with a willsapper (same kind of weapon but better Raito)or find my way into NToV I find no reason to replace my wavecrasher.

and if your a Ranger or rogue or bard that wants to play with this.....hey it's your rez


the only thing that i dont like about this weapon is its weight. while I don't take a sta hit since i'm over 100sta I kinda miss being able to jump

this has to be a great warrior weapon with the decent stats and nice proc

Ahhh.... this was made to be duel weilded with a dizokk wristsnapper. A bard with those two weapons, singing 45 haste, and SoS twice can easilly solo most blue cons. Your talking Drovalg Ragers, your talking a good few of the mobs in KC, your talking doing the Idol of the Thorned solo just that much easier. Yeup, definately a good bard solo item. Granted, that's raid death to a bard. Little bard prancing around plane of hate with their guild goes and procs four times in a row on say Inny "Pancake". Whether resisted or not, and, then, badabing badaboom, TRW, total raid wipeout cause the MA lost aggro, and now Inny's bumping around all over the place killing random people including the clerics, and then finally the lone warrior who shoulda had aggro in the first place is kinda standing there looking at Inny one on one letting a load loose in his special Warlords Greaves.

Look at the proc, a rogue would be a definate goner with this slow/dot proc. Ever mild mannered and smart rogue wants to live, knowing that most times evade is not gonna work of you dot the sucker your fighting. Plus by the time you would get this nice suckker the proc isn't gonna stack with and shamman or chantie slow, So its worthless for a rogue, and a great weapon for say a weak taunter of a warrior, or a silly ranger who thinks he/she should be a tank.

Bought this today for my warrior, the aggro is amazing. Only a few on the server, so it seems...absolutely love it.
