I have kill all "a slithering adder" with track and they NEVER drop egg.
I have kill all "a sinuous adder" and the egg drop ALWAYS the same sinuous near loc n430 n1093 70.
I have kill 4 hours the snake for 5 eggs on the sinuous adder who always repop. It's the only one who don't have PH. He always repop and the egg is not a rare drop on him. On the other sinuous and slithering perhap's a rare drop, but i never see one in 200 kills.

NOTE: Since the launch of heroic characters and changes to the Feerrott zone in 2014, "relatively weak" /con mobs do NOT drop these quest items. This is in particular an issue with the "Adder Egg" - it appears to only drop from "a sinuous adder" (uncommon roamer in the southeastern quadrant of the zone). Don't bother killing weak /con "a slithering adder" because they won't drop it. If there are any regular /con "slithering" mobs, those may still count. |

Hi, so this one gave me quite a time a few nights ago, took me a few hours to get a single adder egg. I knew something was wrong, as I did this quest before they changed the zone, it was never this hard. However after learning the trick, I have been redoing this step in about 10-20 mins tops to farm out some AAs.
Important to note, Adders that con as relatively weak, WILL NOT DROP THIS EGG. Quit killing all the snakes in the zone, it doesn't work! There are about 4 VERY specific spawns you need to kill. Between the River and Innothule Swamp zoneline, along the south wall, is a lizardman camp. There are 2 specific snake spawns on the west and east of this camp that need to be killed. I can confirm Deadly Viper, Sinuous Adder (the snake you want!), and 2 different named snakes occurring at these locations. None of them will con as relatively weak. Just kill these as necessary until a Sinuous Adder drops one. Hope this saves a few people some frustration/time!

East side of zone, near wall, and southwest of there.
