wasted a lot of time in devas looking for the soot and warriors blood, (got comb pretty fast in devas) . lemme just say i hate that zone and it's way too laggy.. Sverag proved much faster for the blood/soot . what i did was just stayed in the outer halls of the zone and killed the defender mobs that wander through those halls in Sverag. Pathing here Sucks, if you try to pull a mob from the courtyard into the halls, it will run backwards and cause a train. i was still able to get the blood and soot much faster even when only killing the 4 or so hallway mobs in Sverag.
This is not a trash drop.

This is not a trash drop. It is used for the "Preparing Your New Skins" quest. Details of the quest can be found at:

Any Warrior's Blood, Battlefield Soot or Bone Tattoo Comb looted before the quest is given does not count toward the completion of the quest. As with the Saga Skins, these items are to be turned in to Grand Librarian Maelin in the top floor of the Library in the Plane of Knoledge.

As a note, do not turn in these items until you are actually ready for the group task "Becoming the Vessel". This can take some time as you and your group will need to kill 60 mobs in Sverag, Stronghold of Rage.

He probably meant trash drop as in it drops from normal mobs, IE trash mobs. Not just nameds. He is correct with the fact it is a trash drop. It randomly drops off of all mobs in Devastation, Rage, and the Samples of Corruption Mission.

I have seen this drop off other mobs in Devastation. Was only killing the red cons, but I believe its a trash drop.
