This is a great bracer for Dragons and other large mobs, the 8 sv all is all that matters, combine that with dragon hero bracer and you are pimping mad resists, I use this bracer very often, but only for when resists matter. Ignore everything else, the fact that the quest was HARD and it required you to kill boss of island 6, then realize that 8 sv all is pretty fookin good =)
Only one?
# Feb 16 2001 at 5:03 AM Rating: Decent
Not that this takes anything away from a not too bad bracer, but why LORE? That just doesn't make sense...(well if you consider it's quested, maybe makes a little sense), but kinda stinks for you rogues that you can wear only one. Question though, does that really upset you at all? (i.e. would you wear two if not LORE?)

Most rogues who have the ability to get this bracer, already have a better combo. This bracer is nice for resists...other than that. Not something on my wish list.

Combo's that most high lvl rogues wear:
Hero / Mrylokar
Hero / PoG or Thurgadin Quest
#REDACTED, Posted: Jul 12 2002 at 1:49 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Incorrect. Mrylokar bracers, hero bracers and thurg/pog bracers all suck. Any rogue worth his salt will grab a pair of Silver chitin wrists (15ac 7str 7dex 40hp) or Bracelet of Fortitude/Might/Quickness.
#REDACTED, Posted: Oct 23 2004 at 12:23 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Why would any rogue "worth his salts" wear those when he can get his/her chain ornate tranquility armor or heck, even the chain elemental tranquility armor if they make it to the elemental plains. Silver Chitten is good, but not enough to have 2 once you have the option to get the ornate armor and not good enough for either once you have Elemental armor.

Old quest?

This is probably another of the air quests that were put in when the game first came out when there was little better than this
9 AC?
# Feb 15 2001 at 8:14 PM Rating: Default
Why only 9ac? thats the same as the ravenscale bracer. Ravenscale bracer drops off of a level 30ish mob. Hows that for risk vs. reward. Although i must say, the resists are quite nice.
Wisdom?
# Feb 15 2001 at 7:01 PM Rating: Default
If it is Rogue only why have wisdom?
#Anonymous, Posted: Feb 15 2001 at 10:03 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) WISDOM HELPS TRADE SKILLS SUCCESS RATE. DUNNO ABOUT YOU BUT MANY OTHER ROGUES MIGHT LIKE THE LITTLE ADDED CHANCE OF SUCCEEDING ON MAKING POISON. NOT TO MENTION ANY OTHER TRADE SKILLS THEY MIGHT BE INTERESTED IN.

>sigh<

Excuse me ma'am, you gave me a $100 instead of a $10. Ok, bad example, but...) It's there, ok? Does it hurt to have extra wis? Str for dmg, and dex for rogue skills. AC 9, not bad. All resists +8...that's for one item!
Not sure if it still applies, but does wis still affect trade skills? I think it hits either your chance for success or chance of advancing skill lvl, correct me if wrong. And, not sure if poison creation is similar to a trade skill, but if so, that sounds pretty good to me. Even if not, it's there! It's free! LOL, brag to your friend druid that your wis is almost half of his/her's!

Whichever is the highest, intelligence or wisdom, affects your chance of improving that tradeskill. I keep seeing people say that wisdom affects success chance abd intellingence your chance of improving but I've also seen VI deny it a couple of times and I've never seen a log to prove that wisdom affects success rate. Since most rogues are from the wis-casting races I'd say they didn't make a complete *** of themselves. Personally I think those saves are great (almost comparable to Velium Blue DIamond) but then again I don't know much about high-end rogue bracers.

btw is poison making even a tradeskill?

with the recent upgrades to trade skills verant made some skill based off of additional stats. (blacksmithing and STR) for example. in the past, you could say "Whichever is the highest, intelligence or wisdom, affects your chance of improving that tradeskill." and be completely accurate, but with the latest upgrades who knows what all abilities factor in to each tradeskill.

aye they might have given us agil instead of wisdom if it was rogue only ye think?

It is as the class aremors are, they cannot give rogues tons of bonuses in one or two stats, as they cannot give paladin str/wis/sta on every piece, because they become a tad too powerfull.
