Twink Gear

This item is an upgrade to something in the BIM range, or an interesting alternative to Crysobly Talisman (less mana than a CT tho) But by the time most folks are busting open Icewell Keep, they have something nicer.

It's funny. People ***** that players twink out thier alt. chars, but WTF are you supposed to do with stuff like this? Sell it? To get what, money? To spend on what, items? To do what, make your character better? How is that different than twinking again?

What are you talking about asking yourself easy questions and answering them?

Please don't get me wrong. I'm a FIRM believer in twinking. You earned the item, so you get to do what you damn well want to do with it! Hell, my primary character (as well as being my first character) is so twinked, it's not funny.
Actually, to kinda retract that...Most of my armor is bought and paid for, fair and square, which I don't consider twinking, but my weapons are sure as hell twinked (axe of ironback, and had since I was like early teens =) )
Hmm..

Not a bad little item, but someone who goes on raids, tell me if you'd really wear this at that time. If not, you think it's a twinking item?

heh btw (woot first post)..first time I've gotten to say that :)
Depends on what it replaces...

My mage would be high enough to join a raid on the Dorfs, if she wasn't fooling them into liking her... If she won it, it would go to a twink since she has a NoS. However, she would also defer to a raid member who had a worse necklace and wanted it. It is better than say a Cherosbyl(sp) Talisman for instance.

Actually, Crysoberyl talisman is better than this for any priest class, unless you need the cold resist.

For a Warrior or Rogue, either the Collar of Undead Protection, or a jeweler made gold pearl necklace are both way better, and both attainable below level 20.

For where it comes from, this thing is junk. Anyone fighting in icewell would already have better. Always. Especially considering the only classes that have any impact in Icewell are Warriors, Rogues, and Clerics, since the dorfs there are immune to pretty much all spells except useless diseases.
