Has anyone seen this robe drop? Is it true about uber guilds being the cause of this? Should I just look for another robe?

.. depends on your server. If the sleeper has been awakened on your server, then it no longer drops. If the sleeper still sleeps on your server, then it does still drop.

It still drops on my server, FV. I just got this robe a few days ago. Very nice stats and effect, but ugly as sin -- flat grey-black, no pattern, even uglier when dyed.

What if ST was revamped...will it drop? Would really like this for my monk. Need to get keyed though but hopefuly guild can kill this mob who drops it /drool

Once ST was revamped, all of the old warders were removed and replaced with the new ones/new loot regardless of whether your server had awakened the Sleeper.

Actually you're wrong on that, I just moved to FV a couple days ago and we smacked 3/4 warders last night. Revamp nerved MotG, Prog, and FA, they rarely drop anything anymore. Warders still up and still droping ****.

It still drops on Al'Kabor since we are forever frozen around January, 2003.

Of the guilds that can wake him, have as far as I can tell never individually decided to wake him. A group of peeps without their guild's approval tried to wake him, but thankfully they they wiped.

Fungal regrowth can heal from 5 to 15 hp per tick depending on the level of the spell. The shroud used to only regen for 7 hp a tick untill about when luclin came out and somebody realized it was stupid for such a hard to obtain item to have less regen than fungi and uped it to 15 hp per tick

This robe no longer drops, kind of a bummer cuz its my dream robe right there. We only have 3 on Torvonnilous and one of them is worn by Rakle, I talked to him about it and found out it no longer drops but the mob is still up. Sorta the same situation like the Scepter of Destruction.

This has nothing do to with the item, but to clear up your dumb little argument:

Who does the most melee damage attacking from the FRONT- monks

Who does the most melee damage attacking from the BACK- rogues

Who OVERALL does the most melee damage grouped- rogues

Who does the most melee damage SOLOING- monks

This item is no longer available on most servers as most have awoken the Sleeper. If your resident uber guild was nice they would not clear the warders to keep the Sleeper asleep, but competition among uber guilds usually leads to one guild clearing the warders to cut off the flow of Primal. Therefore this item no longer drops on almost every server except for the special ones (PvP, RP).
#REDACTED, Posted: Dec 01 2002 at 5:54 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) To be honest the order of DPS is Rangers, Rogues, monks. All though monks are getting some evil H2H items now so its kind of hard to choose who does more because of the recent expansions and such.

RE: none
# Aug 11 2002 at 2:33 PM Rating: Default
You cant ever say one class can out damage another , there are always certain cercomstances where one class will do a hell of a lot more damage then another.

A ranger with 52 AA points endless quiver and archery mastery will do a lot more damage to the front of a mob then a monk with 52 aa points. There still even to some extent but higher up things start to shift.
#REDACTED, Posted: Jan 11 2002 at 12:38 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Is the regrowth on this tunic the same as the fungi tunic, or is it the one that was on the robe of living fungus that decreases your movement by 90%?
RE: Which Regrowth?
# Mar 01 2002 at 2:06 PM Rating: Good
Wow, you missed the mark. Monks continue to use Fungi's at post 50 not because it counters the effects of direct melee damage. The regen, as you said, reduces down time, heals you during long battles where you are taking AE damage (i.e., healers do not have to waste mana on you), and (BEST OF ALL) ... you can regen while you are FD (great for pulling). Just try to use invigorate to heal yourself while you are FD.

Also, even though magelo and eqcaster say the cast time on invigorate is 3.0 seconds, my friend w/ Skyshrine SK breastplate assures me it is more on the order of 9 to 11 seconds. So when you put that into your calculations the invigorate effect becomes much lesss appealing to a monk. Yes it is still faster than fungi regen, but you have to stand there casting constantly to heal up ... fungi works while you do (or more importantly, works while you FD and go AFK).
RE: Which Regrowth?
# Jan 28 2002 at 2:42 PM Rating: Default
This is info i got from Monkly-business.com may or may not be correct

A)Fungi tunic is 14Hp per second
B)This, Shroud of longevity is 7Hp per second, so, no, it is not the same

But i believe this is better than the fungi none the less, due to it's positive stats

Mind you, i'm only lvl25 so what do I know?

tick
# Apr 13 2002 at 10:45 AM Rating: Default
With items and regen effects, you dont regen every second.

You regen every tick. A tick = ~6 seconds. So therefore 14*6 = 84 hp a tick. 84 hp every 6 secs.

This has the same effect as fungi therefore it regens the same. BUT if it were only 7 hp per sec it would be 44 hp a tick.

/shrug Just my 2 cents
#REDACTED, Posted: Apr 20 2002 at 11:14 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Ehhh.....moron?...you just said you don't regen every second...but then you give a calc that shows regen every second. It's 14 hp a tick...so thats 14hp every 6 seconds, not 84. Think about it....you would see huge jumps in health....HUGE...do you see that?...no?...oh....didn't think so.

Hey, Dejay. He said IF it were like a fungi it'd regen at 44 HP a tick. That's wrong! Now who's making idiotic statements?

A Fungi Tunic or Shroud of Longevity gives you 15 HP per tick. One tick is equal to six seconds. So there are 10 ticks in a minute. 15 x 10 = 150 HP per minute you get back while wearing a tunic/shroud.

# Jul 02 2002 at 10:45 AM Rating: Decent
Ummm...No wrong, sorry.

A Fungi Tunic is 14 hp/tick = 140hps/minute regen

A Shroud is 7 hp/tick = 70hps/minute regen

On top of your normal regen and any spells (Regen/Chloroplast) you may have.

Woot, Triton can do Sleepers:P Anyway, the Monk after 55 has a higher dmg table than any other class, and w/o backstab(ie- frontal damage)a Monk is in first, with 2nd probably being a close tie between rogue and ranger depending on equip and haste...a War is meant to be a tank, not a dmg dealer; lets see a monk or rogue outtank a war. No, a war is made to take dmg primarily, not deal it. And ummm rangers...well, with top end equip I know 60 rangers with 1300+ ac and 3000+ hps unbuffed...but I guess everyone is still right when they say a ranger is a n00b. www.tritonguild.com if you wanna see Povar waking up the Sleeper

I have to speak up for the wizards here, being one myself. Why must you all hate so much?

As long as I have a good tank holding aggro (which lets face it, you ALL need to do anything) I can drop 2700 damage on a mob every 9 seconds....think about it...thas nearly 30k in under 2 minutes. Now if I wanna play it smart I can throw 2 or 3 concussions in there. And thats STILL over 20k, under 2 minutes and over half my mana left.

BTW i have rarely ever had a mob turn on a rogue after i have gotten some aggro...even with the BS)
Aggro isnt all about massive damage, but how often u can do it and a monk or meatshield with 2 lammy's will allways get aggro back after a huge BS) And as stated by someone else, Monk has FD to get aggro off himself and back on tank.
RE: To add to my last post
# May 23 2002 at 4:09 PM Rating: Decent
Well for one a rogue would not get aggro if he is using is evade macro(and itd be stupid for him not to) and monks can fd during the fight, so they should be able to take of their own agro fairly well, and with using prox agro and enc spells a tank can keep agro fairly well, since the top 2 dmg dealers can reduce their own agro. And rangers using a bow will be very far away from the mob.

Rogue vs. Monk? Why??
# Oct 08 2001 at 7:32 AM Rating: Decent
Okay, I'm just filtering through some Chest items I'll need to replace my Robe of the Whistling Fists. I have to turn in said robe for my epic quest *sniff* (I worked so hard for it!). I know that in the end, I'll not regret it...which leads me to this thread. I cannot imagine how this thread turned in to Rogue vs. Monk, but allow me to retort. If said Rogue is outdamaging a Monk, even in a group when he/she can BS, explain why I have to back off a mob or not trigger my haste from RotWF so I'm not getting the beating of my life. If said Rogue was outdamaging me, shouldn't the mob turn on the Rogue? I hate getting in to the "what class does the most damage" arguement, but that's just an observation from my experience.
I dream of the day I even get invited to go to Sleeper's Tomb...this Chest piece is extraordinary!

How in the world can you be keeping agro? Make a hotkey that looks like this and you will never hold agro again. (Do this as soon as you get your FD skill to max it out each lvl).

/attack off
/doability # (whatever ability # FD is)
/stand
/attack

At 55 with some very nice weapons and some very nice haste I never hold agro for more than one punch.

A rogue may be doing more damage, but rogues have the ability to evade so they are moved to the bottom of the agro list. You could do the same with a successful FD.
RE: Rogue vs. Monk? Why??

I take it all back... get around 100MR and go solo shammies in Seb... they will keep trying to slow you, and fail repeatedly, while you merrily whack at them. when they do hit, you can just regen it back while they once again try to slow you.

This also works well with wizzie mobs, which for the life of them won't stop trying to Force Strike. if one DOES land, just FD and wait for a full bar.

Goodbye Faithful Fungi Tunic
# Aug 03 2001 at 1:44 PM Rating: Default
This is by far superior to the ol' Fungi Tunic, no doubt. A tiny tad less AC but those stats are so beautiful I'm still wiping away the tears of joy. The odds of the average Monk getting this fine piece? Well, we're not going to talk about. Hope is our motivation to keep playing afterall.

Now, having seen some of the other posts... This damage thing is so very wrong. I'm a 55 Epic Monk on the Mith Marr server. I group with many rogues and many Warriors, as well as about any other type of class from time to time and I can tell you unquestionably, particularly since aquiring the epic, that in terms of frontal damage, I will punk your rogue or warrior into less than a doughnut hole by the time the damage is calculated. My unbuffed AC is at 1078, my unbuffed HP's are at 2001. Nothing particularly smashing in that department but then I'm a Monk, not a Warrior. But in sight of the damage, to say a Rogue or Warrior from the front (I do realize the Rogue's backstab potential) can't even come CLOSE to matching my damage output as a Monk. On more than one occasion, I'll fight one mob while Warrior/Rogue fights the other (on those Chanterless occasions in Old Seb or what not) and I'll drop my toad before the Warrior/Rogue double teams theirs. Many of these partners have their epics, particularly the Rogues. Monks have been blessed with massive damage output. I'm not taunting, yet I maintain the taunt, I taunt out from 60 Warlords for pete's sake. I can't take the beating but farbeit for anyone to say that as a Monk, I'm being outdamaged frontally by Rogues or Warriors, don't make me laugh. =P

Good way to prove this particularly for those with Rogues that claim to outdamage Monks from the front. Step into Arena with your epic up against a Monk with his epic (same level), stand toe to toe and let the chips fall where they may. I guarantee you'll be pushing up daisies while he's still surfing through his text dialogue struggling to locate the last time you hit him.

Some things never change, and Monks, particularly Monks with epics still own damage. From the front forward fighting position, Monks are the lead, followed by epic rangers. There's your 1st and 2nd spot. Now let the Warriors and Rogues duke it out over who gets the 3rd and 4th.

#REDACTED, Posted: Oct 28 2001 at 12:58 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Your a ******* moron. Rogues deal more damage up front than rangers. Rogues deal MUCH more damage than monks from behind. Plus your gay (you made a monk) *** die *** die.

a monk is not REQUIRED to pull
i can pull NToV as a 60+ necro easier than a monk
i can snare, FD, heal myself with taps, become invulerable long enough to hit the zoneline, or at least long enough for a mage to get ready to CoTH me when the QVOX drops.
Monks are great pullers only for the fact that they can avoid ALOT of melee dmg and they have a less likely chance to fail FD, otherwise a necro pulls just as well
And dont go into the whole "AC" crap, becuz the average UBER necro is going to have 3k+ hp and 1150+ ac, plenty enough to take some dmg before they FD.
