Defeating the Arena Mobs

All u need to do is kill main mob each time, any adds and such dont need to be dealt with to get credit, so if u gonna wipe, just try to kill the main mob first. Once rezed and re-enter youll be to the next wave. Found this out the hard way by dying.

this item is disapointing, i got it maxed, way befor 41 waves, we made it somewhere around 30 and i was looking forward to more power as we reached the fourtyeth wave,

Then you were bugged. Mine did not max until the last level was beaten.

Are you sure you're not looking at the augged stats?

We tried to get this quest on 12/12/06 and it sayed 1 of the group members did not have the req. expansion, it even gave us the name of the group member and he does in fact have POR and has been in many of the POR zones. the requirment of POR is in fact not all that is needed. the only 2 expansions he did not have was DOD and DON. we had him do the advance check and all of that and still nothing worked , so Im thinking this quest or the quest npc must be tied in some way to another expansion either DOD or DON amd im thinking because its a mission of sorts its probably DOD, just FYI.

Everyone in group gets one, before you even start. However the stats on it vary, based on what wave you have killed through to. The stats above are the result after all 41 waves.

The way I do it is is agro all the mobs, Run down to jail, Highsun 1 at a time back to spawn point, Tank pulls mob to camp, I fade, run back to group and slow( I was slower at the time), rinse and repeat=) Good Luck!

You need 1 kiter, not bards, for arena bard kiting is useless. Have 1 kiter agro the mobs and kite them in arena, have main tank, peel them 1 x 1, to the first little room on the left, or for safety of agro heals, down into the jail cell, whichever is easiest

(ensure kiter has agro on mobs before attempting to peel)

Kill em 1 x 1.

A bard is useless for kiting this? Amazing, I have run about 25 people through this is as the kiter- Maybe your bards stink :p

Does anyone know what the strategy is for getting past wave 32? This is the wave where you get 7 red con orcs attacking all at once. I would appreciate any insight into this that anyone has. I have tried kiting but nothing seem to work right now.

We had a paladin pop Divine Aura and run the mobs around in the arena proper 'til they were nicely packed into a tight little bundle... then I smacked them with the AoE Wind of Tashanian to get them all on me. I ran them down to the jail and kited them around with wolf-speed. The paladin would come over to the jail, stun one of them, and wander him back to the stables for the rest of our party to kill whilst I just kept running circles around the jail.

It worked.

We had a Druid kite all the Orcs (without damaging them -- aggro via debuffs, self-heals and the AE snare spell (even though the mobs are immune to snare, they still get angry about the attempt).

Then, the SK peeled off 1 orc at a time, and brought it down into the tunnels where we killed it.

This has to be a fair distance from where the Orcs are being kited, otherwise they will aggro.

Our group quit at wave 32 when someone went LD and did't return. We were going to have our shaman AE snare kite the orcs and then our ranger would peel one by one to a different room - whuppin the orcs one by one. Our bold shaman croaked on the snare attempt, but wanted to try it again. Perhaps some sort of bard pull would work.

Yeah, I have to agree, HP/mana are wrong... it should be 153 HP/Mana/Endur
Our Group also got through this event, it is kind of sad, the whole way through we never saw a single dragon... the eye was a weak finish for the event.

We got thru it and he said i have no further challenges for you, your names will be written on the annals of the arena. Its 153 hp and mana for us. The rest of the stats are correct.

yes we finished all 42 waves with a pally, sk, clr, dru, enc, ranger

the final stats on the charm are 153 hp 153 mana

all the mobs hit harder than the guide says, the sk tank had 13k hp and 2700 ac
max hit on all the mobs on waves above 32 were 2k+, and the eyeball on last wave hit max 2475

it seemed that all adds were inconsistent with snare/mezz, it seemed that it was randomly generated

we had sk try to split everything. If he aggrod the original mob(s) and then FD and lost aggro, the task giver would despawn and also despawn all your pets/auras/mounts which stunk but you could still finish the fight and recieve reward just had to leave and reget task

there was also a bug which allowed the sk to trap a mob on the bleachers, then FD and only pick up the mobs that were in the middle. It seemed to have an aggro barrier over the wall
