Still useful to me
# Oct 18 2004 at 10:23 PM Rating: Default
OOW was just released and I'm still using these in emergency situations. I never bought the ornate pattern or had it drop in PoP for me, but these work just fine after a wipe for a slightly faster recovery for the group, especially in LDoN when time is so important. Also, think about ALL the times you've had nothing to do. Going to PoG and killing a few hippies brings back the nostalgia of the old days. You could easily duo these, and soloing for them would be fun in a yard trash pre-POP plane like growth. In truth, you may not feel like these are useful because of the insane amount of FT people have nowadays, and casting a group clarity isn't that big of a deal. Flame if you want, but the main reason I still use my leggings is because I feel that free mana is better than none. Brings back memories of Growth every time I put these on to use em, and how I still can't enter the guild of clerics in my own home city of Felwithe to this day. I've got a smile on my face thinking about it now. :) Have fun and kill hippies!
good for 1 thing

Low on Cash??? Just shout in pok clarity for noobs 5pp and they will swarm to you like flyes at a barbecue. i've made 1k in about an hour and a half just by siting there... hehe

My level 10 enchanter twink on FV has these, and lemme tell you they are sweet
WHY
# Aug 26 2003 at 8:12 AM Rating: Default
ya know not to complain but why i ask does the makers of this game chose to only give these type of items to the classes that have the spell, that really makes no sence i mean crap clarity my chanter is now 51 what real point does it make to have these anymore lol...duhhhh,,why not make them acsessable to the calsses that need this type of effect...!
nice

Pants
# Aug 07 2001 at 2:11 PM Rating: Excellent
I don't know about you guys, but I don't want any breezes flowing through my head that came from someone's pants. Imagine an enchanter with illusion ogre up going around giving clarity to everyone then saying that was courtesy of my pants. Hehe...

It may be all well and fine for the chntr who has just been rez'd to just sit and med enough to C2 his/her self, but it sure is nice to be a cleric (w/o epic) to get any form of mana regen asap after a wipe.
WTF?

You people are so numb, anyone that has the ability to cast clarity I/II knows that you get pestered ALL the time by people wanting a crack. Now instead of rummaging around in your spellbook for clarity why not just click your legs? easy solution to all your problems these werent made to be used by you for you, they were made to make your life easier.

Possibly because these have somewhere between 20-30 second cast time...

I dunno about you but I'd rather just cast the spell at med for that time. The effect on these is basically useless.
This item sucks
# Feb 08 2001 at 9:10 AM Rating: Decent
I have a pair of these, but I still wear my old insidious leggings because they have better stats. The effect sucks too, with a cast time of 15. I figured it out, if I am just rezzed, I can get C2 on me SOONER by immediately sitting and medding till I can cast C2 than I can by using these to cast C1 on me right away then medding till I can cast clarity 2.

Personally, I have yet to see any velious armor with an effect I would use (reclaim energy being the most useful of the ones I have seen, and I would have used that about once in the past 3 months). All the resplendant armor is worse than than the armor from hate, except for the robe.

Actually, I just got the Resplendent slippers and I'm wearing them over my Insidious BECAUSE of the effect. The effect is invisibility which is VERY useful to have memmed, even though I have improved invis at my level. It means that if I have to charm a mob, I can break it without sitting down and memming an invis. It also means that I can make myself invisible at any time if I'm surrounded by mobs that will attack me if I sit but not if I stand (which can be a major hassle). I can also invis members of my group the same way.

Personally, I think the clarity effect sucks too though. I think it should have no casting time.

making god drops obsolete
# Feb 07 2001 at 8:54 PM Rating: Default
heh funny how outta whack this game is, this minion dropped item makes a god dropped item completely obsolete. They need to fix this kinda stuff and get gods back on par

Sorry but I'm assuming that for the level most enchanters will get this they either have clarity2 already or are about to get it. Clarity2 makes clarity obsolete. Good for buffing a bunch of newbies but after that, then what? If you're grinding or in a serious raid you'll be using clarity2 as that allows for much greater mana regeneration. If this was more easily obtaining by those 52 and below then I'd say it's much more useful. Kromrif Militia Leggings and Loam Encrusted Pantaloons seem like much more easily obtainable and better items. And in the case of the Kromrif Militia Leggings, the ac is very high on them, a major plus.

I'm a high level enchanter item and frankly, this item is dissapointing.

Bah the stats on these are horrid compared to god drops. Only nice thing about them is effect and Id only slap em on just to do massive claritying.

The god drop was dropped before C2 was put in game and everyone was under 50.

This item is for people who likely already have the ability to cast C2. So it's less valuable to the people it was geared to when it was made.

I'd wear them though.

I personally love the wide variation on what you can get & wear now... I just wish some of the Kunark and old world planar stuff would be mildly upgraded so there would be reasons to chose each type.
