I have found four so far in The Elddar Forest. They seem to sparkle from a distance. Hope this helps.

Green Apples are commonly foraged in arcstone.
I have run through the whole zone of Elddar Forest and didn't find any!
They are very hard to see, just brighter green spots on the ground. Random throughout the forest.
I found several within minutes in Elddar Forest. They do NOT sparkle, but they ARE much brighter green spots on the ground.
Play a bit with the shader and lightning settings to check out which is the best for you.
