Actually, these work at level 4. I would assume that they work at level 1 but mages don't get a pet until level 4.

The boots worked for my Mage when she was 15. Not certain about the other items. Let's not be so quick to insult next time. And learn some proper grammar please.

Well, considering that the boots cast a level 4 spell, I'd hope that a level 15 character can cast it. Maybe you should look up your information before you are so fast to flame someone.

BOIII is actually a level 49 spell, ya know...
hmm

i think your better of buying astral leggings of the titeans then doing this quest. just my opinion

If you have a friend or an alt that is picking these silk pieces up this is very nice. I may get a pair of these at 33rd level and be able to cast a 49th level pet buff. Can't scoff at that eh?

The silk can be found in Kael off of mainly arena giants

The nephrite can be found in many places in Velious and a few places in Kunark. I got my 3 nephrite off of the Wyverns in Cobalt Scar. There is a page somewhere with a breakdown of where the quest gems can be found for all the Velious armors...

how about we stop arguing over the effects redundantly on every page, and talk about some useful stuff; like where the nephrite and leggings drop?
Very Nice

yea it's ok.
# Aug 12 2001 at 10:42 AM Rating: Decent
I am pretty sure you will have Burnout 4 before this. I mean come on. Yea it could be nice for Chain Petting but really folks.
RE: yea it's ok.
# Apr 19 2002 at 4:49 PM Rating: Decent
It's also only a 5% haste increase from BOiii to BOiv ...

not worth the mana cost if you ask me.
RE: yea it's ok.
# Apr 24 2002 at 9:34 AM Rating: Decent
it only increases the haste by 5%, but its still some, plus, it gives more str and ac than BO3, and the reason most mages want it is to say, "I have it and you dont, now go die."
Soooo i'd like to say, I have it and you dont, now go die. LOL

how many mages do you know that have Burnout IV? it is a very rare drop. We have a few 56-60 mages in our guild, kill dragons and other rares on a nightly basis (literally) and we have seen 1 copy of Burnout IV. Perhaps that is just bad luck, but I would say that about 10% of the 60 mages on CT have that spell.
not that bad
# Jun 02 2001 at 9:00 PM Rating: Default
burnout 3 isn't that bad, instead of leaving it memed or having to remem it all the time its just right there to be r clicked, which isn't bad .. clears up a place where i can leave a spell i'll use more. just need the enchanted silk and i;ll have these =)
Nice pants, but...
# May 15 2001 at 4:12 PM Rating: Decent
These are indeed extremely nice pants. The casting time is a bit long. It seems to take somewhere between 12 and 15 seconds... I haven't clocked it for a exact number of secs. I know some of you are complaining about the effect, but it's better than no effect at all. ;)

Very good pants
# Feb 05 2001 at 11:57 PM Rating: Decent
Before the planes or the hole theses are the best pants you can get. Certainly better then silver silk leggings.
RE: Very good pants
# Feb 06 2001 at 7:35 AM Rating: Default
Well, this IS a planar level item... beats the crap out of planar mage armor too.
Lol
# Feb 05 2001 at 9:44 PM Rating: Default
Whee Now instead of getting more items with Reclaim energy, we can get 10 objects with Burnout III on them!!!!!

*cheer*
RE: Lol
# Feb 06 2001 at 11:01 AM Rating: Excellent
Not laughing (smiling though)

The reason that there's several items with BOIII is that they are the same.
If you do the dorf quest you get these, if you do the giant quest you get the same item but with another name, and if you ***** up both dorf and giant faction you can go to the Plane of Growth and kill stuff to get a pair of pants with the same stats and a third name.
This is true for all the quest armor.

--------------------addendum--------------------

Four letter word

Well I should do prober research before I go off on some limb. PoG class-armour is the same as the stuff they hand out in Thurgadin but the Kael Drakkal stuff (and probably also the things from Skyshrine) is slightly better. It's in the line of 1-2 points of ac and the switching of a str and an agi bonus. But the armour is intended to be of roughly the same value and interchangeable so they all get the same effects.

I should probably learn to spell too =]

At least it wasn't Eye of Zomm.....
RE: Lol
# Feb 06 2001 at 2:26 PM Rating: Decent
yeah there was nothing more disapointing than finishing the clay bracelet quest only to find a nodrop bracelet with effect eye of zomm and no stats.you could camp the eyes in beholder maze for much less time and get a pair of PBB's with better stats

Clay bracelet worthless? I consider this an essential item. Never wear it, but it sits in an inventory slot for Rclicking. I will probably keep this item to lvl 65.

RE: Lol

not bad for before 55, but who's gonna want to use it after they get burnout IV
RE: Lol
# Jun 09 2001 at 1:24 PM Rating: Decent
Burnout IV isn't that much of an upgrade over BOIII is it?

RE: Lol
# Feb 05 2001 at 10:24 PM Rating: Default
Well, it's manaless, so I guess if you're in a hurry and can't take the time to med up a little from a Burnout IV. Might be nice when chain-casting pets during large raids.
RE: Lol
# Feb 08 2001 at 4:33 AM Rating: Default
You know how long the casting time on this will be? If a ES bracer is as long as group gate (for only share wolf form) I can just see this 15 casting time or so.
RE: Lol
# Jul 10 2001 at 10:27 AM Rating: Default
It is around 15 seconds, but hey, its mana free, and BOIV is like 5% more haste. Its usually not that big of a deal to rush to haste your pet in groups.
